Someone brought up a good point on the FB page for the search team. (Even though they're not supposed to.) They made it very clear that it was a POSITIVE comments page involving nothing but the search for Danielle. (Basically meaning they didn't want people to question LE or say anything negative about Schnagl. BUT...They said. "Why is someone updating HIS FB page while he's in jail?" Because someone is logging in..changing his profile pic and background pic to portray him as a good person. A loving father..etc.
I'm sure that's great for PR. But you can't hide a wolf in sheeps clothing. JMHO

Not too sound critical, or belittle the good effort... so how do I word this...
considering the huge rewards (250K) offered in Lauren Spierer and Holly Bobo cases, with so far no result, I guess the best thing about a reward is that gets media attention...

I understand OldSteve, but I think that perhaps those cases have generated more media attention and some benefactors have stepped up to help. That being said, I wonder what the reward is for Michelle Parker, who's case has garnered quite a bit of attention.

Also, it makes me :furious: that Imo she may not be found at all and he will only face the drug charges albeit I believe they are serious enough for him to get a hefty sentence. Depends on how much money he has backing him up.

I can only hope with the spring that she may be found and more charges are brought forth.

Again, all my own opinion.

Just going off your post...it would seem that LE thinks they've 'got their perp' already. Could also explain the lack of media attention?

Ed Jelinek said he attended a recent hearing in Schnagl's drug case but was escorted out. "I got up and asked him where the hell she is," he said. "I wanted him to see me."

"That we don't find her and he walks -- that's my worst nightmare," Cory Jelinek said.

Hopefully when the weather gets better new searches can be planned. Just heartbreaking for her family.

Just read about this case in my local paper today, hopefully some new information will turn up.

If you haven't gone to the FB page to read about Do Good for Dani Day, check out the comments to see what one person did for someone in a grocery store. Wow!

It's Danielle's birthday today and her friends and family want it to be honored as “Do Good for Dani Day”.

I'm going to do something for someone this morning when I go out.

:Happybirthday: Dani!

The judge sentenced Schnagel to about five years in prison, plus another three years of probation for a probation violation. Tuesday, he will face more drug charges in Chisago County.

Some of Jelinek's family, including her aunt, were in court Monday.

Schnagl drug case holds clues in Oakdale woman's disappearance

That is also the case with the trio of Schnagl’s friends, said Chisago County Sheriff Rick Duncan. Investigators say the three scrambled to remove and hide a valuable cache of drugs from Schnagl’s house while Schnagl was being questioned about Jelinek at the Sheriff’s Office, and before a search warrant could be executed.

About 12 pounds of marijuana, packed and sealed for sale, were found in a BMW parked in Schnagl’s garage, according to the complaint, prompting the two lesser charges. A few days later, a cache of drugs that included 23 grams of cocaine worth about $2,500 was found at the Ham Lake residence.

A second friend, also an admitted drug dealer, told investigators he went to Schnagl’s house on Dec. 9, retrieved the duffel bag, and brought it to the home of the third man. That friend then put the duffel bag inside several plastic garbage bags and buried it in a snowbank next to his home.
