"Martha Weaver, the media representative for the medical examiner's office, said the medical examiner has made no such declaration and that the term "unfounded" likely wouldn't be used by any physician.

She called the Chisago County Press report inaccurate and said she asked an editor to remove the story from the publication's website."

Article goes on to say they are still waiting on tox reports.

Justice for Danielle.

At least it's good to know that Danielle wasn't a victim of violence or foul play at the hands of Schnagl.

But I think it will be hard to get a conviction on the third degree murder charge against Schnagl for supplying Danielle with drugs. I hope I'm wrong.

Sadly I do too. But I really want to be wrong.

Sadly, It seems that maybe she was in the drug scene and accidentally overdosed and he freaked out and disposed of her body.

Unless he somehow forced her to take cocaine/injected her with cocaine then sadly she overdosed at her own hand.

You would not think someone as pretty as she was to even want to be involved with someone like her ex boyfriend.

I think she was so high on Cocaine that she walked right out of the house without her shoes, purse, phone and possibly even her coat and froze to death where her body was found. Drugs effect different people in different ways and some people really high on drugs do really strange things, just the same as some people who are really intoxicated on alcohol do too.

I don't believe Schnagl was directly involved in her death other than she likely got the Cocaine from him or at least his house. After all he was a drug dealer.

Danielle's blood that was found was likely on a tissue and a result of her snorting. After all LE's comment about the blood was it was nothing significant and didn't point to foul play.

All of Schnagl's odd behavior might of been due to him trying to hide or move the drugs before LE was surely to arrive.

I agree she was a pretty lady and no doubt turned a lot of heads, she could have likely had any guy she wanted. The sad thing is pretty people get addicted to drugs too and drug addicts will do things that normal people wouldn't do for their next fix. Danielle might of only been returning to Schnagl time and time again against the advise of her friends and family just for drugs.

IMO, Danielle was doing drugs with her ex and she overdosed and he panicked.

Which is why they charged him with third degree murder instead of first.

that said, I hope he gets the full 25 years.

Who knows, maybe she thought she could save him/change him.

JMO

Or... There is simply not enough evidence to charge him with a more serious crime. I don't think we can know for sure that she was not a victim of violence.
Rip Danielle.

Rip Danielle.

Why did she lie in a swamp for six months? I'm not buying his story. Moo

The defense for a man accused of supplying a fatal dose of drugs to an Oakdale woman is asking the court to dismiss the charges or move the case to another court...

Schnagl's attorney, Nathan Sosinski, said he would file additional documents supporting his motions after the county attorney's office supplied him with a redacted transcript of the grand jury proceedings that led to Schnagl's indictment.

Defense and prosecuting attorneys agreed that a trial could begin as early as December or January and likely would take two weeks.

On Monday, at the county courthouse in Center City, jury selection will open what is expected to be a two-week trial for Aaron Schnagl, 30, the last person known to have seen her alive.

Schnagl, whose home was a quarter-mile east of that slough, was indicted on a third-degree murder charge in December 2013, accused of causing the Oakdale woman’s death by providing her with the illegal drugs — in this case, cocaine — that killed her, even if it was unintentional. An autopsy showed cocaine and alcohol in her system, but made no conclusions about the cause and manner of her death, one of the case’s several focal points.
