Why on earth wouldn’t the contents of his stomach be tested? There’s no way then to definitively say he had not ingested drugs. Right?
Anyone think Chauvin will testify? I doubt it but I did just think of something very interesting....what if he did, would Nelson be able to ask something that elicits Derek to say he initially agreed to a plea deal with 3rd degree but DOJ wouldn't agree to that? THAT would cause quite a circus I imagine
Because if the drugs aren't in his blood stream it doesn't matter?
He’s extremely biased towards the defense. How could a question about cause of death be beyond the scope of questioning an ME.
This Judge seriously irks me as biased unfortunately.
Could this result in a mistrial? How can someone sleep thru testimony and the decide a mans life?https://twitter.com/cathyrusson/status/1382403305683382273
#DerekChauvinTrial - JUROR: Pool notes: Juror in seat #13 (PJ52) Black man, 30s, "seems to have fallen asleep a few times" during this morning's testimony. This is not the first time a pool reporter has noted that this same juror appears to nod off.

Well if the defense is relying on the drugs as any part of their case, I’d think it was important. As the prosecution, I’d want to make absolute certain to further solidify my stance on it. Just took me by surprise.Because if the drugs aren't in his blood stream it doesn't matter?

But they were in his bloodstream, both fentanyl and meth. And IIRC, it was Dr. Toobin that said it takes 5 minutes for fentanyl to have a "peak impact on the respiratory" system.
