I just came here to post the same thing, kelso.

Why would Star Tribune report that?

More than 1,000 volunteers turned out Tuesday to search for Brunn alongside Wright County deputies and mounted patrols. More than 600 volunteers joined a smaller, but still-massive, group of orange-clad searchers on Wednesday.

United Legacy, a private search and investigation firm, is conducting a separate search with help from the Wright County sheriff's office.

What an incredible turnout, and a great example too of how to mobilize on Facebook! It is very sad that Henry McCabe is not given equal treatment, and I hope the media picks up on that.

So the phone has been off since 1:30AM when he left the wedding and they can't track it according to his sister on the HELPFINDJOEBRUNN FB page. Have they mentioned if LE is awaiting ping records?

This reminds me of Lachlan Simpson, who left a dance drunk in the middle of the night to walk home, went in the opposite direction, called his friend to say he was up to his waist in the river and laughed about it, then was found on the seashore several miles south where his body had washed out to sea and been swept in by the tide weeks later.

I have no idea. Journalism these days just sorta sucks I think. Same thing with one of the local news stations reporting he was at his sister's wedding...just not true.

It has been reported that he was seen 'walking' past the Holiday Inn or into a field - has anyone described him as walking like a drunk person, wobbly, stumbling, swaying, etc? Did he walk fast, purposeful? Was he looking around? Did he carry anything? Are there any details available?

Per my mother who is out with the search teams today: the search has been suspended.

How very sad!
I hate seeing this happen so often!
RIP

Very sad news and another kid in the river. If the scent deal is correct, makes you wonder how he ended where he did.

My thoughts exactly. Very suspicious.

IMO I'm no river current specialist but I'm confused how he magically appeared right by the hotel/bar area. A place that has been checked land/water already. Fishy

Uh how sad :(

Just as we suspected from the start - in the river ...

Rest in Peace Joe!
