"Advantages of signing the Recognition of Parentage...
For fathers, signing the Recognition of Parentage:...
  • Gives you the right to ask the court for parenting time (visitation) and custody"
source:
Thank you for sharing. Here is an intro from the link that I think adds some additional clarity.
The Minnesota Voluntary Recognition of Parentage (PDF) is a document that establishes a legal relationship between a man and a child when the man is not married to the child's mother. Signing a Recognition of Parentage is an easy and inexpensive alternative to getting a court order establishing the legal father.

Both parents must sign this form to make the man the child's legal father. The completed form must be filed with the Office of Vital Records at the Minnesota Department of Health or it is not valid. The Office of Vital Records will then put the biological father's name on the child's birth record.

Interesting thought but AFAIK we don't have any proof or even hints about this potentially being the cause of or reason for MK's disappearance.

Have you seen anything from the family, LE or media reports that leans in that direction?

We do have some circumstantial evidence that leads one to question the "behaviors" of the adult she was cohabiting with.

Thinking about the home & work life transitions she seemed to be working on, big changes were in the works.

Who had the most to gain & the most to lose as a consequence of these pending changes?

Well Said!

I wonder if they know for sure AF is the one who brought the van back? Been reported AF picked the kids up from daycare, what was the time he picked them up? Seems strange there are so many hours unaccounted for.
So from 8:15 to 1:30 nobody seen or heard from MK. Thats when the van was brought back...so actually he had from 8:15 until he picked the kids up. Unless he was seen driving the van.
Agreed.
Unless someone else was driving the van ?
Not impossible.

I am just going to put this here as a reminder of some of the information we do know.

What we know about the day Madeline Kingsbury disappeared

On 31, March, Madeline “Maddi” Jane Kingsbury suddenly disappeared after dropping her two young children off at daycare.

Her disappearance has been described as “involuntary” and suspicious” by law enforcement officials and Ms Kingsbury’s family is pleading with the public for help finding their missing daughter, mother, and sister.

Here’s what we know about the timeline of her disappearance.

8 am, 31 March- Ms Kingsbury and the father of her children dropped off their two children at daycare.

8.15 am, 31 March- Ms Kingsbury returned home in her dark blue Chrysler Town & Country van.

10 am, 31 March-The father of Ms Kingsbury’s children told police officers he left her residence in the dark blue van.
The father of the children returned to Ms Kingsbury’s residence and told authorities she was no longer home. Ms Kingsbury’s cellphone, ID, wallet, and jacket she was wearing earlier that day were left inside.

1.30 pm, 31 March- The dark blue Chrysler Town & Country van was spotted traveling southbound on County Road 12 and Highway 43 in Winona County. Police did not say who was driving.

1 April- Winona Police Department released Ms Kingsbury’s photo saying they are seeking information in her disappearance.

7 April- The Winona County Sheriff’s Office and Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office conducted a mass search.

8 April- Law enforcement announced they will be ending the planned second mass search because there were enough volunteers to cover more ground.

12 April- The Kingsbury family and Winona Police release a statement saying they are still searching for Ms Kingsbury. The father of Ms Kingsbury’s children also releases a statement telling the public he had nothing to do with her disappearance.

"This is the Maddi the family wants you to see," the caption reads. "To know. To love. This is the Maddi with the beautiful voice singing to her newborn son Noah. This is the Maddi they want you to see when you are thinking of her. She is loved. She is missed. We are hoping that by sharing this very personal video that it makes you think of Maddi as a real person, not just a picture on a flyer."

Police said they are using "all available resources," including sonar, submersibles and dog teams in their search.

But in their latest update, the department renewed its request for residents of Winona and two surrounding counties to check their properties for any new evidence.

"We are again asking property owners in Winona, Fillmore, and Houston counties -- please walk your land and check your outbuildings. Look for anything unusual or out of place," the department said. "Even if you have already done this, please do it again. The changing weather conditions might reveal new signs that weren't there before. If you find anything concerning call your local law enforcement agency."

I’ve been thinking about this and apologize if someone already asked this. I’m wondering if Maddi was forced to drive the van to a location and that nothing happened in the home? Maybe she was threatened that she had to do this and/or maybe AF said he wanted to show her a place he was moving into to get her into the van? I looked at their home, there’s a door in the kitchen that goes into the garage, maybe that’s the van was backed in? I don’t know how to attach the real estate website, but you can search and see the home interior etc. My mind cannot stop thinking about Maddi and what happened to her. I do think an argument took place and escalated from there. LE is protecting the evidence and keeping quiet, I pray Maddi will soon be found and justice will be served.

or it might have been someone repeating something they thought they heard or just positing a theory, or maybe it was something else that was mis-read or misconstrued. Unless and until there is MSM to back it up, it should be taken as someone's theory or suggestion IMO. Onward to what we do know and what has been reported.
Bbm.

Just the facts : (paraphrased by me) Madeline is missing; and someone who supposedly saw her last is being fairly silent about where they went and what they did that day.

Other than a blanket statement from AF, declaring he had nothing to do with her disappearance, we have nothing except a missing mother.
Not even a scent trail to follow, and LE have assumed she left via a vehicle.

"Supposedly saw her last" , i.e., I don't know if anyone else saw her after her boyfriend and she returned from the daycare, which (imo) lends itself to some speculation/theories ... but that is all.
Outside of family, the daycare workers saw her last.

Agreed 100 %.

Which is why I fear that the person who may have harmed her had help, since she's still missing.
If, for instance, she was discarded (sorry, that's how I view the perp who did this --if there's been foul play) near where a vehicle may have been driven, I'd think this would have -- sadly -- ended by now.
I'm hoping LE can procure whatever search warrants needed !
Imo.
Agree with you!

Having help makes the most sense to me. We haven't heard much out of LE, very little. They used K-9's did they get any kind of a hit? From the house? What has led LE to make the assumptions they have? Enough time has lapsed now they need to put out another statement, to keep interest in this case.

I understand there is protocol in these cases. But where the hell is Maddi????

I'm at a loss for now

Purse / phone at home. OK, what about shoes, yes or no.

If involuntary left home... shoes are still at home (winter in MN, shoes are not worn inside)

If no shoes at home... phone and purse become staged, right?

LE is at the mercy of forensic speed. Six months minimum on that van and home

More rabbit hole below:
Strangulation... locating a fresh spit DNA on carpet, walls, computer/desk

Eck...

I am patiently waiting to see this case go the way of so many others with the same patterns, but I am also open to the possibility of this being something else. I have no theory, just seems to be so many curious things that don't necessarily fit with the obvious scenario, IMO. This just feels a little different to me and I am not sure why. I hope there is resolution one way or the other soon.

New group search for Madeline.

______________________________
Please start arriving around 10 am. There is no formal parking lot, so we are asking volunteers to carpool when possible. Park along the dirt road entrance to the park and then walk to the open area where we will have a tent and table set-up.
Please check-in upon arrival and remember to check out before you leave! You will then be assigned to a group/group leader for that day and receive a vest if needed.
Around 10:30, we will give a quick safety and search conduct brief. We will then send you out!
*Please note that if you can not come at the start, you may have to wait for some time to be sent out with a group. If we notice a need for an additional later start time, we will add that.
*Also, we are so incredibly thankful for all the donations we have received thus far. We do not need donations of water at this time. We have more than enough. But if anyone wants to bring snacks or other things that people can take along with searching, we can coordinate that with you.
*We kindly ask any media that attends to please set up away from the initial base area. We greatly appreciate your continued efforts to keep Maddi's story out there but we need adequate space to work.

"LE have assumed she left by vehicle." I thought LE stated there was no evidence that she left on foot or by vehicle? Just sayin.

WELL SAID!

"LE have assumed she left by vehicle." I thought LE stated there was no evidence that she left on foot or by vehicle? Just sayin.
The Winona Police Department held a press conference with the BCA and family members. Police said Maddi’s disappearance was “involuntary” and “suspicious.” There’s no evidence suggesting Maddi left home on foot or used another vehicle.

LE stated that she never left on foot or in another vehicle.

"Nothing to date has indicated that Maddi left the residence on foot or in another vehicle," Winona Police Chief Tom Williams said.

I took that as meaning she left the house in her vehicle.

Authorities have repeatedly said Kingsbury's disappearance is believed to be "involuntary" and "suspicious," though they have not named a person of interest or a suspect in the case.

If Maddi was alive when she left the house, she may have been forced into her vehicle or left with AF under the presumption she was in no danger. Maddi may have been the one driving the van and that is why LE is being tight lipped when asked if they know who was driving when the van was seen in Rushford.

Followed one case about 10 years ago where a women never showed up at work. She walked out of the house and was approached by her neighbor who needed a ride to work. He held her at gun point and forced her to drive to a secluded place, raped her, shot her, dumped her body and then left her car in a Walmart parking lot. Everyone thought it had to be her husband.

Possible differences in Maddi's case and that case, AF admits to taking the van, LE has said she never left in another vehicle or left on foot. What else is there?

JMO

Gosh - I really thought Maddie would be found fairly quickly - based on the circumstances....or that SOMETHING would have been found to lead to an arrest (locating crime scene, video evidence, etc). It SEEMED blatantly obvious who was responsible (not many variables that have surfaced).

I am now thinking possible premeditation. Does anyone else?

If things escalated that morning, it would be quite an achievement to have the presence of mind to get rid of a body by driving around and finding such a spot as described above.

But if you had something in mind already..

Or had a person or two willing to help you along the way..
