[h=1]Surveillance Video Puts Missing Couple at Country Corner Store[/h]
The last known place Ron and Mary Tarnowski were seen is now the Country Corner Store on Hwy 2 in Brookston, Minn.

The Tarnowski family has surveillance video from the Country Corner Store that puts the missing couple there to use the bathroom around 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 29.

The couple has now been missing six days. They also stopped at Wells Fargo in Hermantown and Culver's by the mall before apparently heading west on Hwy 2.
The surveillance video matches up with another promising tip: A man mowing his lawn noticed a silver Tahoe driving slowly west on Hwy 2 Saturday afternoon.

My heart sank to my knees watching the video of them. I'm now even more frightened for their safety. They both, IMO, seem frail. Just gave a jingle to a friend who lives in Saginaw (MN) who is going to hop on his bike and see if he can spot anything.

A press conference was held this morning in Duluth to organize a public search party.

The last documented sighting of the elderly couple was at 1:14 p.m. July 29, when a video shows the couple stopping at the Country Corner store near Brookston and then heading west after leaving. Searches of security cameras in the area of Floodwood, Swan River and Grand Rapids haven't turned up any further sightings of the couple, their son Karl Tarnowski said during a Saturday news conference. They're still searching cameras in the Cromwell area.

So many tourists at this time of year. I emailed a friend around Minneapolis who was going to a wedding in Duluth. She never heard anything about it until she saw a flier in a store in Duluth.

Even though there is a lot of coverage, there is a lot of lack of people who know about it.

It is curious that they would leave without money and the wheelchair.

I wonder how much they took out at the bank

They've been found decreased. Just posted on the FB page. I'll get a link for you in a minute. Feeling a bit crappy right now.

"It is with great sadness that we must report that Ron and Mary Tarnowski have been found deceased in a remote area about a mile from there hunting camp. The family would like to thank the many men and women of law enforcement, the active and retired fire fighters, the Alzheimer's Association, and the overwhelming support of the community and the media for the diligent efforts this past week."

BROOKSTON, Minn. – The search for Ron and Mary Tarnowski had a tragic ending.

The couple, missing since July 29th, was found Saturday by a U.S. Border Patrol helicopter west of U.S. Highway 2 near Brookston.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office is investigating, though foul play isn’t suspected.

The Tarnowskis were last seen in Duluth July 29th at the Haines Rd. Wells Fargo. A trucker reported seeing their vehicle in the Brookston area that day, and surveillance video from the County Country Store confirmed the couple was in the area.

RIP, Tarnoskis

Do you think this sweet couple just got lost and could not survive the elements? Or do you think maybe they didn't want to have an uncertain future? Wanted to be together forever?

Hubby and I had spoken about this earlier in the week when we heard about them missing. What would we do? No matter.... They were together.

I don't think it was an accident. They probably wanted to go together. Jmo.

It appears they drove into a path intended for snowmobiles and got stuck. She was found in the car. Room waiting found closer to the hiway. It's guessed he tried to go for help. Suspect they died from exposure. Oh my heart hurts for them and their loved ones.
