The Lino Lakes Police Department says Thomas George Biatek left his home around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday to buy a battery for a waiting contractor. He never returned home. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says he is considered an endangered missing adult, and they are asking for the public’s help to find him.

Investigators say the Apple air tag on his keys showed he went to Wyoming, Princeton, and Onamia, where he got gas and headed back to Highway 169. His last known location was in Milaca.

Biatek is six feet tall and around 210 pounds. He has brown hair, blue eyes, and a black and gray button-up shirt and jeans. He drives a 2020 turquoise blue Subaru Forester with Minnesota license plate EXV-170.

Onamia is nearly 90 miles from Lino Lakes. Milaca, his last location, is about 60 miles. It's as if he took off then decided to head back, then disappeared.

He's a retired pastor for a Methodist church there. Made the news a few years back for a DUI where he drove through the yard at the church he was pastor at and hit a sign. Pastor arrested for DWI - Albert Lea Tribune He was convicted of fourth degree driving while impaired. Case Search - Minnesota Court Records Online (MCRO). Hopefully that was a wake up call for him and he's gotten sober but his being listed as endangered has me concerned he might have either a substance abuse or medical related issues that warranted that designation.

UPDATE 3:30 p.m.: The Minnesota BCA has canceled its alert to find Thomas Biatek, saying he has been found safe.

No details have been provided as to where he was found and where he had been since going missing.
