Husband almost seemed interested and assertive at first but that seems to have ended as soon as it started. My hometown Catholic Church offered a crying baby reprieve room. I’m sure not all the various aged children can join her in there w/o drawing attention. It’s usually a segregated room with sound proof glass and pulpit sound piped in. Maybe that was her one time away from him so she scooted. If the dad hadn’t been abusive to the kids she may have felt they were safe until she could get her ducks in a row? I mean, she’d have come for them by now I feel, judicially.

Friends, I am concerned why there is not a frantic search for this mother and child. What am I missing? Do people know where she is and that is why?
There was an early report that she had reached out to family and was safe but just needed a break. I don't think at that point they were worried for her safety. Not verified though so consider it a rumor but may explain the lack of info.

Shows how much I know about anything. Anyway, it’s just a Facebook page with that title. I guess you can search yourself if you’re curious. Might just all be slander so I don’t want to share directly but it made me feel better personally that maybe she is a victim and is hiding safe somewhere.

Hopefully she's hiding safe and let's law enforcement know. It's just sad to think of the extremes she has to go threw to get safe. We can link with main stream media and her personal accounts

Missouri mom allegedly vanished with baby weeks ago, leaving husband and sons at church

A Missouri mother and her baby gone have been gone for three weeks, and their family says they just want to know they are alright.

Melanie Goodman, also known as Anna, and her 4-month-old daughter, Charlotte, were last seen on January 20.

Kansas City police say there is no evidence of foul play and believe the Excelsior Springs mother may have left on her own. Her mother, Beth Alford, says she's not mad if Anna decided to leave, and just wants to know she's safe.

Family concerned for metro mom and baby after weeks with no word

Police haven't said exactly when three Sundays ago Goodman was last seen. They believe she may have left on her own. Her mother, Beth Alford, says she's not mad if Anna decided to leave, and just wants to know she's safe.

"When she left she had their 4-month-old baby with her, and she left five boys with her husband at the church, so I'm concerned for her safety," Alford said. "I need to know that she's okay, and I`m concerned about the baby, and her other children."

Goodman was attending church at Old St. Patrick's Oratory in Downtown Kansas City according to family. Her husband posted on Facebook that the 38-year-old left with the baby sometime during mass, and never came back. Alford, who lives out of state, says she hasn't seen or heard from Anna since.

"I have no idea," Alford said "I have no idea. I haven't heard from at her at all since she's been missing. We don't talk much. We haven't been in contact much over the past years. I haven't heard anything at all where she might be."

Whoa. That's 9 days after she went missing. o_O
MOO
The husband MAY have filed to get control over their joint finances with her disappearance as well as protect himself against debt she may accrue. A legal separation agreement would define whether or not both spouses still have access to any joint accounts. It may stipulate that all joint bank accounts be closed and each spouse open accounts in their own names. It may also stipulate which spouse pay what monies on any joint credit accounts held by the couple.

Most importantly, a legal separation agreement would protect the person filing from being responsible for any debt their spouse acquires during the period of separation if they live in an equitable distribution state.

OR it’s just a logical first step into a divorce. But for whatever reason, this case just gets stranger and stranger.

I would be interested to know if anyone can confirm seeing her at Mass.

If you have Facebook, look up "Anna Goodman Missing" you can read comments on quite a few different posts that might give you an idea of what is going on here. (nothing in MSM and not an official page I can post here and be within TOS) It makes me understand why there isn't an urgency and why he possible filed that soon after she went missing. Sad case all around.

Editing to add - (I'm going to flag my post to make sure it's ok to post this. I think it is because it's not a victim's page, it's a "Help Find" page which makes it ok)

Mother missing 3 weeks after disappearing with daughter during church service found safe
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Missouri mother who disappeared for three weeks after leaving in the middle of a Sunday church service with her daughter is safe, police said.

Melanie Goodman, who is known as Anna, left with her 4-month-old daughter, Charlotte, during Mass at Old St. Patrick’s Oratory Jan. 20 and never returned, WDAF reported. Her husband, who has not been identified, and five sons were also at church that day.

“(Kansas City police) confirmed to me that they have received communication from Anna indicating that she and Lottie are safe and are where they want to be,” her husband wrote Wednesday in a post on the Help Find Anna and Charlotte Facebook page.
