Thanks for agreeing with me that SM would get a PD!

I agree too, unless he has some serious assets that we are unaware of... which is possible but not likely.

If his wife is smart and has smart people around her... she will file for divorce, like yesterday.
There will be fines and potentially a wrongful death lawsuit to go along with this case.

If someone sues him, she needs to not have anything still a joint account or property or anything.
She needs to distance herself and her assets from him immediately. Get the house put in her name, whatever else needs to be done.

Looks like family is still holding out hopes they will find her alive.

Outside the courthouse, family and friends of the Rodriguez family gathered. Cynthia Moreno, aunt of BreeAnn's father and her daughter, Gloria, carried signs showing their support and love for the family.

"We believe she's still alive. He knows where he has her but he won't say," Cynthia Moreno said.

Oh that is so sad. I am so very sorry for this family and the family of SM.

BBM

Exactly! And hopefully dispose of the house as well.

Wouldn't that be awesome?
Of course if he did put her somewhere alive, time is running out quickly.

part of me hopes this guy is lying and has nothing to do with it because then there could be hope she's alive. but what would be bad about that is the LE would be going through all this and the one that was involved is getting away with it. yeah, i know this is unlikely but still....you hope the little girl is alive somewhere.

I do not believe that race was the motive here. I have to ask myself this question:

If a little blonde girl wandered in Morgan's backyard that morning, would he have let her go unharmed?

<Modsnip>
She was outside alone for more than 5 minutes. I would like to hear what time - if it ever comes out - this guy took her off that ladder.

The bike is where he said it was. Perhaps her body has washed downstream.

Immediately, a reverse 911 call went out into the community, and local residents gathered at the local fire station to help with the search for the missing child.

This is the first I've heard of the reverse 911 call. Wow. That means everybody in town knew about it pretty quickly. This implies that he practically MUST have left his house to go dump her before LE started searching.

Very unlikely that she is still alive JMO, but I can see how her family would be holding onto that last string of hope for as long as they can :(

Reminder, ya'll...
WS's is a victim-friendly forum.

Please think about Breeann's family and loved ones when posting.

Reminder to simply hit the red triangle next to a post number and report from there. I know we are all so emotional right now but please, rather than call people out, just simply hit the symbol to report the post. :grouphug:

bumping Salem's warning
The parents are victims in this tragedy. Children should be able to play in their front yards, ride their bikes, and kick up their heels without fear of being murdered. This was a small town, in a closed neighborhood, where everyone knew everyone. A child outside for 5 or 10 minutes should NOT RESULT in murder.

Parents should not be expected to smother their children in order to keep them safe. AND BLAMING THE PARENTS IN THIS CASE IS NOT GOING TO BE ALLOWED.

From all appearances, they were very loving, caring parents and they do not deserve to be taken to task.

I still have a problem with his story. The dad said the bike would get stuck where the actual wheel would spin because of the training wheels. Could she get her bike into his backyard without that problem? Maybe the timing is off, but a 3 yr old would have a hard time repositioning the bike to get it to go and it would take some time. Those little bikes are not easy to deal with on unlevel surfaces. I think he would have had to have gotten her off the road or she left the bike to get to the pool. If she left the bike, he would have had to have the time to do his evil deed and then get the bike before it being seen. I really think he got her off the road, bike and all.

We don't know where her bike was when he grabbed her; the affidavit doesn't say and that's all we have to go on right now. It could have been anywhere in the street or on his driveway or under his carport or in his yard.

I mentioned the other day that a 3 year-old neighbor kid rides his bike (that looks much like Breeann's) all over the grass, up and down the hills in our big backyard, up and down curbs, you name it.

Very unlikely that she is still alive JMO, but I can see how her family would be holding onto that last string of hope for as long as they can :(

I can see that, too. Some things are so hard to accept or even consider that you just don't unless and until you absolutely have to.

Can someone kindly point me to the MSM link discussing him telling LE where to find the bike and it being correct? TIA

Morgan was riding around with one of his friends or neighbors looking for Breeann RIGHT AFTER she disappeared. How could he have killed her, disposed of her body, drove home, dismantled the bike, then drove back to the same spot as he disposed of the body to dispose of the bike and been looking for her just after she disappeared? I wonder if he disposed of her later in the day or possibly the next day while no one was around. His wife and kids were reported to be out of town when Breeann went missing.

Marty Miller says he and Morgan drove around looking for Breeann right after she disappeared.

"I keep thinking he was right there in the truck with me," said Miller. "All the kids play together out here. Shawn's got a good wife and three little kids. I feel horrible for both families. I guess it just goes to show anything can happen. You never really know."

Miller says Shawn's wife, Tonya and their children were out of town that Saturday when Breeann disappeared, and Morgan says he suffocated her.

"Tonya and the oldest were out of town and the other two were with his sister," said Miller. "I've known Shawn for thirty years. I watched him grown up."

I'd still like to know what led LE to SM. Does anyone know for sure? Is there a link to that info?
