I'm so sorry. RIP Little One. And prayers to Breann's family.

:(

Maybe it's because the drug task force just received a grant on 8/1/11 for $500,000. I can understand that. Glad they helped out if that's the reason. Otherwise I still want to know if drugs/alcohol/prescribed drugs have a part in this horrible crime. It fits, it doesn't make sense.

Night all. Sorry, sometimes I get on a roll about somethings...xoxo

Snipped for length.

I think he had plenty of time.

First of all, he probably had her closer to 11 than to 12.

Secondly, there's nothing in the affidavit we've read (and that's all we really have to go on) that says he tossed the bike right after coming home after disposing of her body. It just says 'later'. That could be anytime, even that night or the next day or the day after that.

Thirdly, the LEO says in his affidavit that SM told him it felt like it took an hour for her to die; that doesn't mean it actually did (and I doubt very much it did).

I think it's possible that we could find out that SM wasn't completely truthful in what he told LE. That certainly happens often enough. But this timeline would work.

Hope you don't mind if I use the same transitions of sequence as you did when responding. Please don't take it snarky at all, just trying to organize my answers to coincide with yours :)

First of all, I also think he had her closer to 11 than 12. Which is why I said
Number 1 - CRR is mistaken about how long ago she saw BR out the window or IF she saw her at all out the window.
Number 2 - Neither CRR or ER are correct about what time she could have possibly gone outside that morning.
I think it's possible she was outside as early as 10:30 at least. That could have given him plenty of time in my opinion.

Secondly, thank you for pointing out the "later" part. I only remembered reading that he disassembled it upon his return home from disposing of the body. I just assumed I had read he went back out immediately to get rid of the bike. I just went back and re-read it. You are correct, and it could have been the day he was arrested for all we know.

And thirdly, I certainly didn't intend to come across as believing it took an hour as he said it seemed. I don't think it did either. I just merely meant to state that based on how he recalled it, it must not have been quick. (Ugh and I hate to even think she suffered like that!)

Another thing about the bike... remember how LE said that they found the training wheels in an area that had already been thoroughly searched? I still wonder about that part, and am curious if we ever find out whether he threw them there to distract LE from where the body and rest of the bike were, or whether he just tossed them there to get rid of them in a hurry or because he thought it was a 'safe' place because it had already been searched. I think the wheels were found on Wednesday?

OH dear, RIP in peace little Breeann:( so horrible... her poor family. And oh the family of that evil man- oh my those poor kids....why oh why does this evil stuff keep happening!!

I do want to ask one question.. I skimmed thru this thread & didn't see any mention. Can anyone tell me if the yard where the pool was, is fenced in??
I was wondering how she may have had access to the pool.

I agree with the last one... I think he put them there after it was searched thinking it was safe to do so. I've also been wondering if he might have kept those for some reason. A souvenir maybe? And if so I've also been wondering if maybe his wife found out about them. Maybe she seen them, didn't put two and two together until they turned up in the search. Then maybe she went to find them and they were gone. That's IF she is indeed the one that turned him in. I think so far that is still just a rumor from facebook. Who knows? Hopefully in the next couple days we will know more!

:offtobed: Have a good night everyone!

I was so devastated for the parents when they came out and admitted to having not passed the lie detectors test. I was inspired by their courage and ability to analyze whether this was a tactic to get them to confess. They had told the truth, but when your child is missing , there is no way you are likley to pass a lie detector test because you are in emotional turmoil.

The fact that the neighbor adbucted her and killed her brings so much memory of the Danielle Van Dam case in our county. So tragic, so senseless, and makes me ashamed to be part of the human race.

I suppose anything's possible, but I really doubt he'd need a reverse 911 to figure out they'd be looking for her.

Most people don't think "If I grab this kid there is going to be a hundred people looking in less than an hour."
People don't realize how quick or massive the response is going to be. We have heard that several times from suspects or parents.

The neighbor stated SM's oldest child was with the mother and the other two were staying at his sisters. How old are the other children? We know he worked nights, but was one of the children old enough to stay home and watch the other while dad went to work...or was there some othe reason they were not allowed to stay in the house while mom was gone?

Or maybe the other two just went on a sleepover with their Aunt? School is getting ready to start again and that might be a fun thing for them, whether the sister has kids or not. My Dad's Aunt was WAY more fun than staying home with either parent alone.

I'll believe this time since the DDD article states that Karnes confirmed her death at 8:15 which to me means he told the parents at 8:15. JMO

I think that is about right...

Trigger, sorry, not a foolish question at all. I thought it was a statement made by the media and I snapped (not like me either). It's a very good question. I think the answer here is that they NEVER brought dogs and even tried. They took dogs out to where they found the training wheels and a couple of other locations. From what I have gathered though, they never started at the beginning.... HER HOUSE....

Again, I apologize.

I thought it was odd that we didn't hear about dogs more in this case. They had a starting point and it could have helped them know if she was picked up in a vehicle, wandered off on her own... or was taken into a neighbors house. :banghead:

Sarx- Take a break and get some sleep!
:bedtime: :seeya:

I'm just hoping that because he put her in a plastic bag, the evidence was protected so the truth can come out.

Her poor parents.

Sorry, I'm not too good at PDF's.

JMO, but I don't think that's true in these days of Amber Alerts and the internet and all of the coverage cases like these get on TV. I find it hard to believe that most people don't realize that a search will be underway in an hour, or even less time. It makes more sense that 'most' people would know that parents are going to look for their lost kid and call 911 if they don't find her pretty quickly.

I don't know who the 'we' you're referring to in your last sentence, but I'm not sure that hearing it several times translates to what 'most' people would do.

I think this guy knew he had to dump the body fast, especially since she lived just a few houses away. It's not like he snatched a kid from another neighborhood or town or area. He knew very well it wouldn't be as easy to do so once LE showed up and started hanging out on his street.

I was wondering how she may have had access to the pool.

No it wasn't. Big old open invite for anyone to go swimming in (but it was green). No fence, no gates. Nada nuttin'.

There are pictures of the backyard and front of the house but I'm going to bed now. Tomorrow if you need pictures remind me. xoxo

I'm sure property laws would cover this though.

Oh and MO law on fencing and it's history is amazing to read. Not much about people but a lot about livestock.

This is awful. I keep reading, taking breaks, only to come back and read some more while hoping I'll see she's been found.
I'm praying that he didn't harm this sweet baby any other way than what we've heard. I mean it's bad enough that he harmed her at all but really, I just need to believe what he's said and we've heard so far. Maybe he'd gotten onto the neighborhood kids before, or even this sweetheart, and he just snapped. Dear God I'm so tired of this happening to these precious kids! My heart goes out to both families.

This case just seems so unusual, from what we know now, at least...someone with no history of violence, perversion, etc...out of the blue, murders a child? I'm guessing there will be some history coming out, oddball behavior, maybe some medical/mental issues, other than the few rumors (i.e possible bomb threat, I think someone said). There has to be...otherwise, no one is safe, anywhere :(

She's been found Ellebelle. She's been found. Read back. xoxo

An example Cluciano is Jared Loughner. No one had an idea of his mental state and that's why I ask about the drugs or prescibed drugs. Neighbors knew him for 30 years. He has a family. It's just odd behavoir. If he is a perv finally caught, I want to know that too. These dudes killing children just need the maximum punishment or hidden from society forever...

eta, or mental help if possible but pay for the crime they committed once treated. oh where does it end...

Thanks Dr. Know?
I did wind up seeing some pics, but couldn't quite tell if there was fencing...if indeed she was on the pool ladder, it is soooo very sad there was no fence:(
A lot of places require them...if none, lawsuit waiting to happen imo.

(Kennett, MO) -- The Dunklin County Sheriff believes his office has found the remains of Breeann Rodriguez. The three-year-old's remains was found near the floodway ditches northeast of Hornersville. That's about eight miles south of her home in Senath ...

In my town, you are dumb not to have a fence around a pool. Just dumb & a lawsuit waiting to happen. 5' in town, found out the county here requires them too but so many get their new pool and remove the fence to see the view, after final inspection...in town, you have to have one unless you want sued big time in case of an accident.
