Clay Waller's father, James Waller, died Tuesday. He had been bedridden with an assortment of illnesses and prosecutors had sought to depose him and preserve his testimony in case he died. A judge denied the request because no charges had been filed against Clay Waller.

This is a sad, sad day as I fear that there may never be justice for Jacque. He was brave to come forward with information about his son. He will be blessed for that act alone IMHO.

CW was sentenced to 5 years in Federal prison today for the internet threats against Jacque's sister! The judge gave him the max!

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Search crews including the Scott County K9 search and rescue team set out to look for Jacque Waller on Saturday.
Volunteers spent most of the day searching parts of rural Cape Girardeau County.

Crews used ATVs and dog teams and covered at least 50-acres including one water search.

Meanwhile, Clay Waller is now temporarily in a federal prison in Oklahoma after being sentenced on internet threat charges.

Still thinking of Jacque ...

Glad to hear CW is in custody. Will he ever tell where she is and allow her family to give her a proper burial? I still feel in his twisted way of thinking, this federal sentence was a way to get the heat off of him for her murder. He knows a fed sentence is preferable to one served in a State facility. He rolled over on the internet threat charges way too easy, MOO

Clay is behind bars serving a five-year prison sentence in Louisiana unrelated to Jacque's disappearance. Jackson police said Clay pleaded guilty to posting on the Internet that he wanted to kill Jacque's sister who has been watching the children.

The Southeast Missourian reported Clay appealed that sentence Wednesday. Details of the appeal aren't being released.

I am so happy to see that justice is coming for Jacque, her children, and her family!! The smirk needs to be wiped off of his face - IMHO. I would imagine that the relief is great for her family - especially her sister given the threats made against her.

I about did a cartwheel when I saw the updated thread title!!!

I am SOOOOOO glad he has finally been charged!!

I read somewhere that there are not pursuing the death penalty. I guess it would be hard to get the death penalty without a body.
