I think they sealed the burning case to protect a potential murder case....Now that they have what they need to proceed, they may not. KY is never going to confess, so a trial is going to expose all of the details eventually.

True. But even in trial some details are kept sealed from the public until after a verdict is handed down by the jury. I think the sealing of the burning case also had something to do with the media speculation and like you said, the desire to protect a murder case. No doubt this will be a circus if LE doesn't keep the media reigned in. They are already going to have a hard time finding an impartial jury without the media riling everyone up. And potentially one that is death penalty qualified.

Kylr appeared in court this afternoon and pleaded not guilty to 2 counts of first degree murder and 2 counts of abandoning a corpse. He was represented by a public defender.

He appeared in court today facing charges for the traffic stop last year, and spoke exclusively to KSHB about why he went to police after taking his brother to Edwards.

Carter pointed out he’s been told not to talk specifics about the case.

“We just want Kara and Jessica — those families to have some justice served and if he's found to be guilty we just want them to be — we just want them to feel better at night that he's finally put away. You know and I'm not ok and my family is not ok with anything that he did," Carter said.

Cass County Prosecutor Ben Butler wouldn't say if Carter will face any charges for his role on that September day.

I’m really shocked JC called on his own though. While I’m sure he benefited I seriously doubt he was facing any charges serious enough to make you roll on your brother. I do think there is likely some level of decency within his immediate family. While they aren’t the classiest bunch that doesn’t mean they all agreed with murder. Now if KY could just grow a conscience and admit guilt!

I thank god i am alive too after what i went through. I had no idea about his past untill i posted my story on my facebook about what happend to me when i finally got the courage and a few people then told me everything about him and it is sad to say but i am not very shocked after what he did to me

If you have been told you might need to testify or think you may need to testify against him, I would just be sure to use caution about how much you divulge (believe me, I want to hear it all) - we just don't want his defense to be able to use it against you or in favor of change of venue.

With that said, I have three main questions:

1. Did you know Jessica, Kara or Jaxon?
2. Do you believe Kylr is more of a reactive rage-based killer or more capable of selecting a victim and pre-meditating their ultimate demise?
3. What do you think the primary difference was between the women Kylr only dated but didn't kill, and those he did?

For #3, what I am trying to figure out is why he killed Kara and Jessica specifically, but did not kill the others. It does sound like he attempted to murder one (and if that is you, I hope some of my past posts on those incidents expresses how much I empathize) - but a few of his other girlfriends got away. I am trying to understand if it has to do with his level of interest, or if he associated some of his relationships with external things he found important like kids, money or access to drugs. I want to understand what he was so threatened by that he felt the need to strangle two women to death, and if it was the same trigger.
