I'm in Pa and the time there is 1 hr behind, so press conference in 1 hr.....fyi for all you people who have no concept of timezones like me

Kind of out in left field, but have any babies passed away in the past month or 2 in that area? Could a grieving father be trying to "help" his grieving wife?

Has there been any other crimes in this area, Like peeping tom's or children being approached, and / or random burglaries within the last year?

If a perp took her, I would have to believe that 1) He/she would have a car parked very close by and 2)He/she would not take off her clothes while abducting her.

So this walking and baby in diaper doesn't make much sense to me if it is related.

FWIW, I had a colicky little bub and would take him outside at all hours of the night because it was the ONLY thing that soothed him. I am gonna hope perhaps this is what it was.

What were the temps last night?

My oldest had croup often when he was little and cool night air worked wonders when he would have a coughing attack but it seems like we always wrapped him in a thin blanket at the very least (he is less than 2 months from 16 so it has been a looooong time).

I do hope this is unrealated and a neighbor will come forward saying it was them out walking their own child at midnight last night. Like everyone else I am hoping that this baby was taken by unbalanced woman who just wants a child of her own to love and she will be found quickly.

Thats a good Question, SurfieTX, we had that happen twice from the hospital, here however they were found within the hour...

I am local to KC also, I live several miles north of this incident, but used to live within just a couple miles. My DH is an electrician (IBEW Local 124) and it is not uncommon for him to have to work at night, as others have said... at Walmart, or in an office building that cannot have downtime during business hours. However, let me say this about the "new job" thing. The local union has had a LOT of men on the books for a LONG time... there are no "new hires".. there are only guys who have been laid off and were waiting for a call-back. AND, with that service truck in the driveway, I am sure he is a long-term employee with a company who's business has just been slow lately. Service Truck drivers are the few and far between of electricians, and it would likely be them that would do a nite job. But, this guy I'm nearly certain is NOT a new hire.. just out on a new job location most likely.
One more thing... a few years back, I had a garage sale, and the following weekend someone stole my dog from the yard. It had been raining and he left his muddy footprints right across my driveway where he opened the gate and took him. I never had any doubt he was taken by one of the "nice neighboryly" people that told me what a beautiful dog I had at my garage sale. If people see something they want, some of the creepy ones will just take it!
I pray for this sweet baby's return... fast... safe... soon!

My heart is broken for baby Lisa and her parents already. I knew I shouldn't have clicked on this new thread. Some cases are so much more emotional than others to all of us- this one grabbed my heart instantly. Prayers already went up for her to be returned safely. Just no words. I can't even imagine. :(

The man who saw him should be able to tell LE the exact home it looked like he was going to. It should be able to be verified quickly if there is another child in that area. IMO

I think that since he could have made it look like it was that house, they need dogs to go to every home in and out.

Anyone who goes in the middle of the night to steal a child has some nefarious purpose and unless its the garage sale imo almost has to live close by

Surfie, that's what I'm hoping. :(
I'm stuck on the sighting of the man and diaper clad baby. If this was baby Lisa...all of my babies have been unhappy to have their shirts pulled over their heads and yelled/cried their protests. A baby with a cold, woken up, chilly night.....this would have to be an extremely laid back baby not to put up a ruckus.

Yes, it really is brazen isn't it. Man, I have VIDEO monitors still in my boys rooms (they are 3 and 9) and they are right next door to our room!

Chasing.Halos is a bit jaded lol.

BBM, if there is no monitor at all in that room that makes me think it really has to be someone that was familiar with the family. Most people would assume that there is a baby monitor of some sort in a nursery and that they would be heard breaking and/or opening the window.

Someone local posted earlier that they overheard on the radio that this was dad's first night on the job. What are the odds that the abductor just so happened to pick that night? If true, I find it highly suspicious and would lean towards it being someone who knew the family. Has it been confirmed that this is the baby's daddy living with them?

I wonder too what the parents' faith/religious life was like. Did they go to church? Was baby Lisa baptized? Any new church members or visitors recently?

I agree that monitors are so sensitive- I hear so much through them! I wonder if with the layout of the house having the bedrooms all together the parents did not use one? Or- following the year sale idea- maybe Lisa was sleeping through the night and they sold the monitor at the yard sale?

That was my question ~n/t~. Another poster cited an article that said that they baby lives with her mother and father.

"Hopefully the child's close and safe, but right now we're utilizing all available resources," said Officer Darin Snapp, a spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department.

The FBI is assisting in the investigation and authorities warned that the kidnapper may have already crossed state lines.

"It's very possible that this child could be in Kansas," said Snapp. "We're right on the state line."

As yet, police have no suspect description, no vehicle description and no eyewitnesses to the abduction.

A woman who lives in the area where police believe a 10-month-old child was abducted, sparking an AMBER Alert , says her husband saw a man carrying a baby early Tuesday morning, but didn’t think anything of it. Lisa Parscale says her husband was coming home around 12 a.m. Tuesday when he saw the man carrying a baby wearing only a diaper.
“He seen the guy act like he was going to go into a residence,” Parscale said, “but then my husband drove off so we’re thinking that maybe he was just doing that so that my husband would leave.”
Parscale says her husband saw the man walking on a street perpendicular to North Lister, where Lisa Irwin lives with her parents and brothers.

Police say Lisa’s father returned home from work around 4 a.m. to find the child missing and immediately started banging on neighbors’ doors asking if they had seen her.
