fox was the one using the adjectives in their reporting

"heated" was the word I believe..

and they like to use sensational words quite often....

I only heard part of this report, but when I heard it I thought ONE possibility (I thought of others as well) was that since they were searching the same woods *again* maybe the parents were getting upset saying something along the lines of, "Again in the same place?? Why are you going in there again when you could be searching somewhere else? You are wasting time!!"

Just a thought.

How far and wide are missing posters up around the area - has there been a poster hanging blitz of any kind? I have not seen any reference to this at all and that would be one of the first things to do to make the public aware.

I haven't seen any posters, but I've heard this case referenced on the radio many times. One station had callers call in this morning with speculation.

Maybe the boys rooms were on his way to Lisa's room. Maybe when she wasn't in her room he figured she was w/mom. We don't know which rooms he checked in which order.

I thought I read somewhere that he checked on boys first, maybe not , and they certainly could be closer so he checked on them first.
Were the boys with mom or not???? If so he would have seen two empty bedrooms (the boys and Lisa's) and thenI would assume he would run to Debbie's room and find her sleeping with the two boys??? I am so confused!

Also, didn't one report say that they rushed down to where LE was because they thought there was an important new lead, only to find out that there wasn't when they got there. I also thought I read one report that an officer stated there was no problem with the family in regard to this "animated" exchange.

I feel like I keep defending the parents, but I just can't imagine the mother in particular being involved. If so, she deserves some sort of acting award because she seemed absolutely devastated and genuine in the interview I watched this morning. We are getting a peak into their lives at the worst time of their lives. I don't know anyone who could come away from such intense scrutiny without someone finding something unusual or weird or to be critical about.

Thanks. I wonder if its missing. Did anyone see anything about whether a blanket was missing? All I've seen are the cell phones. I remember reading that mom said she slept with a lot of stuff. Did they say whether the stuff was still all there? I know mom had the Barney stuffed animal.

I haven't heard them mention whether or not the glow worm, binky, or blanket were taken, but I didn't hear the one phone interview, so it could have been mentioned in that.

In the pics from the county assessor site, there were 2 dogs pictured in the backyard. The pic was taken in april 2009, so it's possible they've gotten rid of them. Maybe the poster from down the street knows.

Dunno about any dogs. I haven't noticed any, but that doesn't mean they dont exist. They could only be let out in the back and you can't see much of the back yard from the front.

I have to wonder, given how the media likes to sensationalize things, if the parents were informed of this "new lead" by a media person?

Or, could they be getting frustrated that they are searching the woods again, and it doesn't seem the search is fanning out further into the surrounding areas. I could see this being very hard for the parents ("Why aren't you doing more? Why haven't you found her yet?"), which could lead to a heated conversation. I'm sure they are understandably stressed right now.

LOL I posted basically the same thing at the same time as you.

Jinx. Great minds and all that...

exactly! The lights left on implies a certain amount of bold, in your faceness. Almost like a taunt. see, I can come into your home, make myself at home AND take off with your precious. All the while as you and your other precious ones sleep just rooms away.

Amps up that surreal creep factor, at least to me.

Omg, this sounds just like my husbands ex.

Perhaps their bedroom door(s) were closest to entry and therefore most logical start point when deciding to check on kids

Perhaps given that they are older than Lisa and able to get out of bed and move about freely (Lisa is 10 months and in a crib) he assumed the lights were on because one or both of the boys had awoken and gotten up and needed some help with something (drink/bathroom visit/soiled wet bed depending on siblings ages)

I don't find him checking the boys' room(s) first unusual at all.

I totally agree if they boys room were first in line, but I just know I read somewhere that he immediately knew or felt something was wrong. I think if he felt that strongly the urge would be run to baby, run to my own child.

Well, the lights being on and the front-door exit really gave me pause, but this mom is reacting exactly the way I think I would react if my baby were stolen: a combination of sheer horror and like, an emotional paralysis. The dad seems like he is trying to be strong but also seems angry, which I think would also be a natural response for a father to have in this type of situation. They both strike me as genuine in their reactions.

I will add that I am so glad to know about Dad's who check on their children when they come home from work. I wish Zahra had had one like that!!

Also I'm convinced that the baby did not cry out. I don't know about you other mothers but I could sleep through anything when the kids were young except on little peep from them and I was ready to spring into action. Don't know if it's maternal instinct but the slightest sound from either of them would penetrate my deepest dreams immediately. I just assumed it's a mother thing.

I'm not sure why the parents wouldn't want to go through the house to see if anything else is missing or why LE have not requested them to do so.

It seems like most people here feel confident that the parents didn't have anything to do with this, but I'm just not getting the same vibe about one parent. My hinky meter is, at the very least, on alert.

I'll admit, though, that my hinky meter is still in training whereas some of you have expert hinky meters. Just wanted to throw my thoughts out there anyway.

BBM: I agree ... I knew nothing about this missing Baby until I saw the parents interview this morning on the Today Show ...

And my "hinky meter" went off a couple of times ... I still have a lot of catching up to do on this case before I comment on that ...

But most "gut instincts" are usually correct ...

I hope they find Baby Lisa alive and soon !

moo ...

I wonder what the layout of the house is ..it seems odd that the perp would take the time to go to other rooms unless he came in the babys room window ..replaced the screen and went out a door ..but that would be crazy to do..if it was a stranger then he wouldnt know the layout and could bump into someone, so if the plan was to take the baby i would think it would have been get the baby and get out fast...How did the stranger know where to find the cell phones too.. it just seems so odd, it seems it would be someone that knows where everything is and not afraid to get caught. IMO

As far as I am concerned the info about the "heated" or "animated" discussion is still pretty iffy about why it happened. First no LE should be releasing info unless it is cleared first.

The way it read to me is the info came from an un named family member who may or may not have been actually involved in the discussion, and I'm not seeing where they really had time to talk to the parents to see what was going on. And the LE officer just more or less didn't agree or disagree, he just said it "could" be that.

Oh wow, she looks so much bigger in these new pics. She can definitely pass for a toddler.

Question: does she have her ears pierced? If is being passed as a boy then people could check the ears to know it is her. KWIM

I don't think it odd at all either. He knew the baby didn't get up to turn on the lights. He might have thought the boys were up to get a glass of water.

Has it been stated at all if the baby bottle was missing? The mom put her to bed at 7:00 pm with a bottle. Maybe she removed the bottle at 10:30 when she checked on her. The unsub could have taken the bottle so she wouldn't cry.
