ANOTHER WARNING :(

It may just be me, but the piles are kind of shaped like mounds, IMO. Whatever material they are sifting through, to me, doesn’t look like it was dropped off the back of a dump truck. I also don’t see any signs of excavation.

Then I remembered the Wikipedia article on silage that I had looked up ... :(:
Silage - Wikipedia

After reading the article, I googled “bale processing for cattle feeding,” and ... :(.

This guy’s (JN) expertise is getting rid of dead cattle. I think he’d stick with what he knows works and works well. I don’t think he’d try something new. But, he could have been using “alternative” practices for dead cattle too.

That’s very telling. And, horrific to think about.

Have they hauled a lot of equipment away?
Not that I am aware of. I happened to see it being hauled away escorted by 2 vehicles.

Not that I am aware of. Helicopter videos showed the tub grinder hooked to a tractor the first couple of days, then it was covered by a black tarp in the last videos. It was seen being hauled away this morning escorted by 2 vehicles going north of Braymer.

Wouldn’t it be easier to check the bale processor for evidence? (Maybe they have already, hence the death investigation?) I can’t imagine that’s an easy machine to get spotlessly clean.
Are you talking about the baler that makes the big cylindrical bales or the old fashioned smaller rectangular bales?

Thanks for clarifying. I’m not familiar with farm equipment, so that’s helpful to understand.

They can charge him with tampering - he's admitted to that and it's on video. I think they have evidence that the men are deceased (perhaps a witness or someone he told) but can't charge him yet because he won't confess and without bodies, there's no physical proof that he was the murderer.

Yeah, his original intent was probably to make it look like they had parked there to get another form of transportation, but why leave the keys in it? And it was running too?

Did he hope it would look like they tried to make a quick getaway?

More like he tried to make a quick getaway.

I wonder if this was a result of a sudden act of rage after a heated argument and he panicked and left an obvious trail of evidence behind him.

The brothers were there to check on some of their cattle. Did the guy sell them or something?
Did he owe them money? Was he trying to get money from them?
This had to be some sort of business deal gone wrong.
Either that or the brothers discovered something very shady that he was involved in. Imo
Hoped it would be stolen. mOO

it's possible to go into all kinds of speculation about what happened. Because of the very short timeline between their disappearance and the truck being taken to the parking area my personal suspicion is some of this was planned out in advance. All the suspect has admitted to is moving the truck. He still had to have a way to get back to his property. Meaning someone else almost certainly had to be involved. Which opens up the possibility that he may not have been the person who actually harmed the brothers.
I suppose it’s possible, but not very likely.

It’s clear they are putting in a lot of time/effort to not only find these guys but also build a case. The sheriff used the word “methodical” to describe their investigation. I think they plan to cover their bases with JN. I think JN’s arrogance (as evidenced in the fraud video) will work in their favor.
