He is building a car! Guy is a car junkie and part of this underground rice rocket club. That would explain a lot, some adjustments needed but he is working on cars and maybe a motorcycle. Amazing.

So.... Video1 have you contacted the FBI with your thoughts yet? If they are worth their salary that is being paid with my tax dollars, they have already read your thoughts here on WS's and over on the other sites you have posted this interesting, and really very logical, theory on! I still think you should contact them and let them know.... because it was YOUR idea. I wonder why Ricky was in that location... was he killed there or elsewhere and transported there? Usually LE has a good idea if someone is killed at the site of the body, or if the murder happened elsewhere. From the media links I have found, it is really unclear if Ricky was even murdered! Do we have a COD??? I haven't seen anything except a body that was "decomposed", and "had to be ID'd by fingerprints", and "had a possible head wound", but he "was not stabbed or shot". So.....How Did Ricky Die??? For LE reading here, we could use some help and additional info!!!

He needs the MTSE, CTSE , VLSE, WSE FRETSE, AND ABOVE ALL THE TRSE!! He is a hardcore car guy, now the language makes sense.

He is a mechanic, he is working or consulting with a Nissan dealership and he has car codes and parts codes mixed together.

Wow, what a mess this guy is. That's not a code system, guy is barely literate and lives for cars.

PS. It would be awesome if you could post your exact translations. This thread has had me glued to my seats for days now.

I called the FBI lab at Quantico sic? two hours after this went up and left a voice mail telling them they needed a Nissan dealership and that it was not code.

Have not heard back from them and to be honest, I am just relieved as I have not stopped. Someone had to recognize this other than me, I saw it but the language was horrific and kept getting sidetracked trying to figure out what the FBI was doing tossing code up on the web.

They can't decode that. I need to adjust language a bit here and some of it is guess work as I am not in this guys shoes. But this guy seem to be employed, Ricky McCormick is not.

Best,

Kris

I want to give a huge shoutout to Video1, RiddyMcgivens, and ALL of our new members!!! One of the things that makes WS's great is the vast range of ideas from all of our amazing members! This case is going to be a great example of why a lot of people working together who bring many different backgrounds and ideas will result in a lot of "out of the box" thinking. I hope all of our new members stick around and help with future cases! I now firmly believe there was no "code" that could ever be solved! It would be like "solving" the letters and numbers that appear in the barcode label on the box of cereal I purchased last week!

Yes, give me a little bit to format this mess I created and will give that a shot. I need to pull codes out if I can and I have never seen anything so disheveled in my life.

I have been watching this thread and others at other sites since this news broke.

There has been a lot of speculation about what the codes mean.

Since day one I get the feeling (and its only a hunch) that it maybe something to do with the military.

I don't think its a code to be decrypted because of all the repetitions of similar words used throughout. If it was I don't think it would amount to a lot of text, perhaps just a single sentence at best.

Thinking on military lines I found this page which pops up now and again in the code, or is quite similar:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemical,_biological,_radiological,_and_nuclear

It uses the word CBRN or CBRNe which pops up in the code.

The Wiki page lists:

The Marine Corps runs a CBRN School to train Marine CBRN Defense Officers and Marine CBRN Defense Specialists at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Wasn't RM from Missouri?

Could be coincidence, I like the car theory posted before, is there any more auto parts in the code?

If not could this be military?

I also notice that at the end of the code it reads:

D-W_M-Y MIL XDRLX

Which to me is Day Week Month Year - Military ?

God knows :¬)

Well, I for one am going to support you as being the person that figured it out! I pretty much guarantee you they got your voice mail, and they are reading here. As far as decoding goes, I personally appreciate ANY thoughts you have on this. I still am confused and in the dark when it comes to some of the stuff.... You can start with what "MTSE, CTSE , VLSE, WSE FRETSE, AND ABOVE ALL THE TRSE!! " means! I truly appreciate your thoughts, knowledge, and insight related to this. If you ever need someone to tell you about an infectious disease like Acienetobacter calcoaceticus var. anitratus, you can ask me!!!! I will share with you! LOL! I am LOST with this parts/car codes!!!

There are no doubt more parts codes, mixed with slang, Mis-abbreviations, car slang, websites. Its a frigging nightmare is what it is. Guy had money to play with cars, he probably rented cars, who is this guy?.

I highly doubt that even if all the codes are pulled out there will be anything left underneath. He would have need to be the most brilliant guy I ever encountered. Hands down. This guy is not brilliant and speaks and writes at a level that is way below a high school dropout.

The only time he makes sense is when he is working, and then only because he had to come off codes.

I don't know if there's a military connection, but I was pretty sure D-W-M-Y referred to Day-Week-Month-Year. The line ends with what could be Roman numerals.

D-W_M-Y MIL XDRLX

D-W-M-Y 1049 490R60 ???

I really don't care for credit, the acronyms were

MTSE- Maintenance

CTSE- Computer Technician

VLSE- Nissan Proprietary memo system- Maintenance

WSE- Provider of parts for Nissan

FRSTE- Nissan Price checking domain change 1998.

TRSE- Technical Regulations and Standards Engineer

A couple of these would require a Nissan Staff member, so he worked there or had log ins.

The Acronyms would most likely be revealed in training as well as a guide to get around the company and service dept. So it was safe to assume the guy was working.

The slang comes in where he appears to be working on cars a jumbled PDI? or Pre-Delivery Inspection.

Codes as simple as AL CD/ Alarm- CD Player with code suffix for car trim and tracking labor or a build.

A possible rental car return for a client to be rinsed and returned to the Aisle.

Reference to No power front seat , no left side rear entry (door) a recall for a sensor, motor oil, and even a price for a CD Player install, and possibly a fixed flat.

A vin Number that is scrambled, references to prep work. It just gos on and on.

This could be why the feds were concerned as it would have been an opinions game on their part as well. I can now see why this was released as some of the acronyms had obvious ramifications for a possible threat.

I appreciate the air space and I will now take a break as my room mate wants to kill me because I have been barking since this code went up and it drove me nuts.

Thanks again,

Kris

Double for me. I was reading the original posts by Kris on The Escapist, and thats the first mention of vehicle specific stuff I saw anywhere (aside from "I wonder if these are VIN" type posts). I've been reading threads on WS, ATS, MSN, Yahoo, Escapist, and a few more and never saw any of this stuff until Kris posted it.

I do some language translations for fun, and this stuff just has me in awe. Similar to what I do, but I don't work in codes, so this was way out of my league. However, I'm having a blast living vicariously through you guys!

If they turn out to be Nissan codes that would be awesome.

Good job Video1!

Now could someone please make sure lucibear isn't driving a Nissan? I'd hate to think what those codes are suggesting to him/her ;).

:seeya: Hi Riddy. Those posts sure got my attention. I'm so glad you and Kris decided to join us over here. Hope you stick around.

Great work!

You really think he was employed or could he have been chopping cars?

He is building a car! Guy is a car junkie and part of this underground rice rocket club. That would explain a lot, some adjustments needed but he is working on cars and maybe a motorcycle. Amazing.

Dealership or what about auto/body shop, auctions or even better, a salvage yard specializing in Nissan or maybe even all salvaged imports?

Here are some links, maybe something will jump out for someone.
map for MO Nissan salvage yards:
auto salvage + st. louis, MO - Google Maps

Nissan Codes:
http://www.troublecodes.net/Nissan/95ams96-00.shtml

Auto Paint Codes, the link directs you to 1999 Nissan All Models but on the left sidebar you can choose any year (or even model for that matter)
http://automotivetouchup.com/choose...ssan&model=All+Models&search.x=39&search.y=12

Two more things, underground rice rocket club, could you elaborate?
Where do you see motorcycle?

definitely interesting, tia

Great work!

You really think he was employed or could he have been chopping cars?

Well? He appears employed, but because he is clearly doing auto work and using auto terms, he has access to proprietary web sites that give dealer information such as pricing and even memo's on recalls and industry items he would have no real use for. Then he straight lists those dealer acronyms like nothing, I would imagine a street kid could just run up the chain to get the answer he needs without writing direct titles in acronym form.

If the rental car line is correct, then he is rinsing and moving a rental car to an aisle. An aisle could be used in a car dealership, but usually its a rental car lane. No reason for him to do that if he was not in the service department and certainly not if he rented it.

The only alternative and these types of guys tend to hand together is that he had an insider in the dealership that was giving him data or log-ins and such. With those log ins he could get information on dealer costs which would be a major no no.

I do not see any reason for him to have all that data really unless he was working there. Most of it he would not even need at all. Unless of course he worked there.

It is very odd, but yeah he worked there I think. I do not see anything or any terms regarding chopping, of course I am not sure I would recognize those if I even knew what they were.

Whatever he was doing he was spending a lot of time in parts and service.

Best,

Kris

I'm not convinced about the dark rose thing. Can you show a link where they make a car in rose on dark rose? I also couldn't find anything with Nissan and a power top. I wonder about that bent exhaust, because I can't picture any scenario for it appearing on line after line in the notes the way it does on p1-- not at different positions within the lines.

I'm still not even sure that's an N. To me it looks like a shorthand for 'with' in a lot of places, smaller and with more space around it. It's not the same size as the E or T or most others.

Video, besides Reannan's find of NCBE as a Nissan part number, have you come up with a translation for NCBE and WLD?
