Many people seem unable or unwilling to accept that a dancer/server/hostess can be intelligent and have career aspirations. The few dancers/servers that I have encountered professionally through work actually are extra vigilant about the dangers that confront them. They use a buddy system. Many are raising kids and several are married. They rarely leave work without someone checking that they get to their vehicle safely. Are there renegades? Sure. Face it - it's a way to make a lot more money than you get fetching coffee or working at a motel front desk, and nothing says you can't take classes during the day and serve at night wearing an outfit. I have no idea of the working environment or the management of this particular club but it was something she could live with for three years. Most clubs are pretty diligent about their employees and they have staff to protect them. As for the various outfits, it's part of how they encourage patrons to splurge on wildly overpriced drinks. Not really a state secret.

I don't think we should make this thread about this topic. I haven't seen anyone throwing shade on this girl in regards to her occupation. I see people being realistic about potential dangers related to this occupation.

What's most important is her being found as soon as possible.

Mull this statement over.
“We don’t know why she veered to go north before she came back downtown so we are hoping anyone who was supposed to meet her up there, besides the friends she was supposed to meet, will give us a call,” Snapp said.

That bit pink? I noticed that mentioned before. So they have proof she traveled back south after the QuickTrip in NKC. That is how I read it

This part:

we are hoping anyone who was supposed to meet her up there, besides the friends she was supposed to meet,

Does LE know someone else was supposed to meet her?

It occurs to me that her recreational activities, network of friends, and work environment all make her a prime target to serve as a CI. I wonder if BF's drug charges being dropped were part of a deal requiring her to do this.

it is great that there are so many theories being considered here. Sometimes we zero in on one idea and stay blind to other possibilities, which doesn't help the victim. I have no theory of my own yet, but appreciate the openmindedness on Toni's thread here.

OT - heroin and heroine are not the same thing and I admit, i giggle when I see heroine used in place of heroin. Heroin is the drug, a heroine is the female hero, which we all hope Toni is.

Sorry, that was auto corrected! LOL. I have a bad habit of not proofreading before posting.

A North Kansas City police officer pulled Toni's 2014 Ford Explorer over for an illegal lane change in northwest Kansas City. The officer gave Anderson a warning, then escorted her to a QuikTrip to get gas.

Kansas City police say it seems unusual and out of the way for Toni to be in northwest Kansas City, which is five miles north of where she lives.

"Our only assumption is that that was the closest (gas station) that she knew and went there to get gas for her car," Toni's father, Brian Anderson says.

Kansas City police say the GPS tracking device installed in Toni's car has not helped in the search. Officers say the device tracks the car's speed, not its location.

Investigators are waiting on her phone records. Toni's father says he's grateful for the public's support and help in the effort to find his daughter.

I thought she drove a car, not a Ford Explorer? GPS only tracks the car's speed?

Confidential Informant. There were stories about this in the news a few years back. Police bust a college kid on a small possession charge and threaten to throw the book at them unless they agree to essentially go under cover to bust bigger fish in the drug supply chain. Several kids ended up getting killed and the practice has been criticized nationally, but departments continue to use this tactic.

That must be a reporting error. She drives a 2014 Ford Focus, Kansas Plates 989 GAX

Have you guys noticed the increase in sloppy reporting over the past year? Sure makes sleuthing more difficult!
