I lived in Arvada/Denver, Colo from 1972 - 2001...I worked at an Arthur Treachers in Arvada back in High School for a very short period. It's no longer there, though...but they definitely existed in the Denver area!

Anyway, I'm still perusing this thread & skipped ahead...any luck with the Colo. universities? Let me know...my nephew is a DU Law School alumnus & might be able to do a favour for his old auntie ;) Also, I still have friends in the area :)
 
also...i lived in Capitol Hill from the early 80s until i emigrated in 2001 & know a heckuva lot about good ol' Colfax Ave...that White Spot Restaurant changed hands/names a number of years ago, but I'm blanking. I can probably ask some friends who are still living in the neighbourhood...just let me know! I'm remembering a lot of the restaurants & fast food joints you all are mentioning.

AND i have a classmates account, if anyone needs me to search there...... :D

My bold. Awesome! So glad you posted. Can you send the flyers ( posted here in the flyers link) to your friends who are still in the neighborhood? Maybe they can print and post some on Colfax near the places BK remembers. Perhaps some of the old timers who have been in the area for a few decades will remember him. My apologies for not being able to link you directly to the flyer thread here in BK's forum. I am having computer problems and can not copy links. Maybe someone else can do that for me, pretty please?

Nothing on CO universites at this time. Ask everyone you know. Email the basic information on BK to all your friends. Print off the flyer and post it around. Very soon, date unknown, CO lawmen are doing something to help for BK.
 
Has anyone from the Jeffco Action Center been contacted? I have looked through many of the threads here and did a search on "Jeffco" and didn't see anything. However, I easily could have missed it with all these pages!

They are located off of Colfax in Lakewood, CO. Here is their mission statement from their website - www.jeffcoac.org: "Jeffco Action Center’s mission is to provide an immediate response to basic human needs and to promote pathways to self-sufficiency. We do this through our continuum of emergency services to families and individuals of Jefferson County."

They have a quarterly newsletter. There are many volunteers and many donors. I'm guessing that some are long-time residents of the area. Maybe they would post some flyers at the Center and their events and consider including a picture and info. in their newsletter.

also, that centre in Lakewood, that's located on West Colfax, which is waaaaaay on the other side of the Denver area & another county alltogether. I lived near east Colfax, which is where all these businesses are & is in Denver County/central Denver. but i suppose it couldn't hurt to be in contact with multiple agencies!

i'll let you all know how i get on :)

Jefferson County former sheriff John P Stone:
Do you think there is a resemblance between John P Stone and BK?
Do you know if there was any talk of John P Stone's family members
missing or unaccounted for?

She might have posted from CA.
That name came up in Dr Phil forum and she posted at least twice,but I could not find anything on search for that name, except at classmates.com. I am on classmates, but do not have an account there.

Hope everyones Thanksgiving was as good as mine. Snowme, yes I have started on the Indy emails, sent out about 150 this week. I will try to finish these up next week. I hope everyone checks out the fellow on "Needs Investing" link that I put up last nite. Sharel Vance Haresym, is the name. Let me know what you all think of this one.

I know I have asked this before, maybe on another thread, but is there anyway we can find out if the FBI is getting any leads in BK's case?

hi dreamweaver--glad to help & hope i can make some headway! i've emailed one friend, so i'll wait to see what he says & take it from there.

i'm looking at the jeffco sheriff's website & they list former sheriff's...but i'm not seeing that name...do you have a link or a pic?

my search came up nil :( i read that forum...how frustrating that she hasn't checked back for replies or contacted websleuths or anything!!! even if just to say, 'no, not the same guy.'

i haven't had one since my army family friends were stationed over here :( i always have to work :P pity, coz hubby LOVES all the food! (he's english)

I say no to Sharel V Haresym.
I would like to know if FBI is getting any leads also. If so, we could put our energy elsewhere.

I found a towpartsgirl on You Tube. I emailed her and asked if she was the same person who posted on the Dr Phil message board and to come here to WS if she was that person.

Now I just have to wait and see if she answers or joins here.

towpartsgirl answered me and she is the same one! She has tried to register, but was rejected. I told her about the email rules and how to contact admin to get accepted. I also told her to contact me if she still had trouble and I would try to help her get registered.

She is still convinced that her friend is a relative. Her friend is adopted, but he knew his birth parents. The birth parents are deceased. She also said that she felt the regression pics on Dr Phil were not accurate.

Now we wait again......
