Rachel and Denise are the same person - one or the other name is a middle name.
I'm was too tired to look in our thread for their video. I wanted to study the 'coy' smile once more. So I gloogled to link to that video & good grief how many 'alias' make up the 400 people thus far interviewed by LE. Gosh,if one person has multi names LE will be lucky to finish this towns population in the next decade. Back,to my search instead of a Rachel Tutor I found a Denise Tutor. I give up. I will hunt down the video in the morning. Gosh,I need a scorecard alone to figure out what name each 'player' is using per/each article I find.

Goodnite
:bed:

Does anyone know JC's activity the night before (i.e., Friday December 5th)? According to USA Today, her mother states that she worked at Goody's on Friday and came home went to bed and slept most of the next day. I am wondering if this is true. When I was 19, yes I liked to sleep but not all day unless I was out partying the night before. Also can anyone confirm if they served a warrant on that cameras at the gas station. I have cameras at my house and they record over a month worth of footage. Seeing that the gas station was a frequented spot, the footage may have evidence or leads on there, not necessarily the night of December 6th but the days/weeks leading up to it.

I have two kids close to JC's age and agree that they really don't sleep "all" day. I also agree if could be related to staying out late and partying. Also, sometimes people sleep all day if they are anxious or depressed or afraid to go out. If she did that often, it might have been a coping mechanism. Based on what her mom said, she seemed to be keeping a low profile. Just a thought.

I believe he has been in Iowa for 2 years. I don't have the link right now. So I also do not think he was the abusive boyfriend that has been mentioned.
BBM I've asked before in one of these threads if anyone knew when BR moved. Reason being her stay in a women's shelter and her dad's comment at her memorial. If it's been a long time, then who abused her? Who was the reason she was in a shelter?

I am torn between the 3 scenarios and change my mind frequently, love triangle, DV, and gang related. I have another thought on the gang issue though I wanted to see others' opinions. I see everyone talking about gang initiation but what about if JC herself was in a gang and was trying to get out? We know she was trying to clean her life up. We know her ex of 2 yrs is in a gang and appears most of his family is as well and she lived with him and his mother. Could she have joined the gang during their relationship and this was some sort of getting out of the gang punishment that went wrong as per Auntie Sha'Sha's comments?

(MODSNIP)

IMO, all three scenarios could even have occurred simultaneously for all we know, i.e., DV within a love triangle that includes a gang member. One of the things that strikes me in this case is the looks on CW's (Sha-Sha's) and RT's faces. IDK about a bruise on CW's face, but I do know that both she and RT don't look like any amount of money would make them talk. Even when referencing the burning, CW hedged, IMO, using the nonspecific "it." They really look shut down. Maybe that's why the reward hasn't been effective ... and why MM is walking free (in general). JMO. Edited to add: the horrific nature of the crime could also be a reason for the "it," I suppose. Maybe it's just too hard for CW to go there ...

Thank you for your ideas, information and for pitching in. Welcome.
News about warrants will probably not come out until later, but it sounds like the station let the police have the surveillance system. It also sounds like LE may be going back before the night of Jessica's death, checking video, since the station clerk seemed so eager to share rumors he'd heard about an argument from a week earlier. I hope LE checks other pertinent video going back as well from places in Batesville, as you never know until you look. Maybe people in the county will take the time to look themselves too, in the best of all words (but the hours it would take), then give LE a heads up.

Which gang ? That assumes the cops know who the gang is and the members are, who in this case, allegedly did this. I'm saying they may have no idea who actually did this because no one but two or three were involved and discussed it. The only clue would be dna and if the perps had previously been arrested and had stored dna in the FBI database.

If you read the MSM links in this thread, you'll find a lot of disturbing info on Mr. Mister, who states in an interview that he was brought in for questioning, a lie detector test, and a [buccal] swab.

Sheriff: Alleged kidnapper is local gang leader
Two years ago, on December 7, 2012, the man allegedly kidnapped a woman and beat her unconscious over missing drugs. She somehow escaped during the ordeal. In The Panolian, Sheriff Darby is quoted as saying so eloquently, "He's a bad dude." Mister's accomplices were from Indianapolis, according to the article. The name of the gang is in the article, if you want to read it.

That one article alone is disturbing, in that somebody could carry out such a brazen attack and walk away without punishment: "Mister, Williams, and Day are charged with kidnapping, armed robbery, assault, resisting arrest, drug possession, and felony firearm possession." Yet Mister is out on the streets. So much for "The citizens of Batesville will be safer if George Mister is incarcerated." :(

In Mister's interview with WMC news, you see his "friend" Rachael/Denise Tutor turn and smirk when Mister is asked how he knew Jessica. "We was good friends," he says.
:liar:

That an alleged gang leader would be texting Jessica just a couple of days prior to her death is very disturbing, whether he was involved in it or not. What on earth had this teenager gotten herself involved in? :( Judging by his past history, and a police record that's twenty years long, the man seems to act with impunity if he's still walking the streets of Panola County.

ETA: None of this is new info, btw. It's all in this thread, reported and interpreted by members here. It's just a summing up of my thoughts, based on what members have provided and what MSM has out there about the case. The September shooting just 12 miles NW of Courtland is one more example of why I worry there won't be any breaks anytime soon. Two guys were killed in what has been described as a gang confrontation at "The Hilltop," yet nobody has talked, and nobody has been arrested. Jessica's horrific death by burning just feels like the act of people who have become accustomed to acting with impunity in Panola County.

TU KelliKat, immensely . I don't understand how he's free now, this is just two years ago.

That just blows me away. How do you amass that many charges including felonie firearms charges and get less than 2 years in jail? And probably was in for less time on good behavior.

BBM- Many it seems have appeared on camera to discuss having been interviewed by police which I think is actually to the benefit of the investigation. There could be something very telling in some of those interviews, the slip of a word, i.e. "they" vs "she" left the party or a look like Denise's when MM says they were "good friends". JMO they may actually be telling folks that they have been cleared to see if they get comfortable and slip up, making them feel like they fooled the cops and are untouchable. They know they're dealing with a town that seems to be gang-run and that people are terrified to talk so maybe they are relying on the perps to get comfy and slip up. All JMO.

Let's be honest, proactive LE can book anyone at anytime.

"Disturbing the Peace" is a very large fishing net. "Disorderly Conduct" is like a broad spray herbicide. Both of these 'tools' are used ad lib to my great disdain.

I had a tail light out once, driving in the evening, still light out and the local LE saw fit to do a U-turn in traffic, put on his lights and sirens and pull me over to tell me about it.

If they want you, they will come get you. I simply am at a loss to understand what goes on there.

There are so many names and aliases in that area derived from rick, jerrick, lakedrick, ssedrick, eric, derrick, you could spend weeks just trying to document all of them. No exaggeration, no humor intended.

Everyone else in this clutch seems to have a nickname, does Mr. Mister have a nickname?

Who is "T"? Is this the nickname for "Tutor"?

Thank you in advance.

From the snooping that I have done, these people are ALL related one way or another, the white people are just as related to each other as the black people, and some mixing, as well. These families go WAY back. This is a tragedy, but I doubt that it's different from others, just the manner of death, maybe. JMO

(MODSNIP)

What if a person of her own race did it because they were mad that she only dated gang associates. What if he had a crush on JC since high school and she rebuffed his advances and then he set her up and killed her. They also may know that LE would focus more on the gang members and spend less time on searching other plausible theories.

This is huge to me and a great find. Was this gang leader out among the public in Sept. 2014 when the killings took place that no one is willing to talk about and police call gang-relation? Did Jessica know something about it or witness those killings? Did someone think she was going to talk about it? Or perhaps she told someone her plans of it. It's one possibility of what happened and could put pieces of the puzzle in place. If he and she are connected to the incident then it's one reason as to why she was targeted. They wanted to teach her a lesson but something went wrong as stated by Auntie Sha Sha. Considering the possibility of a lookout, who went down that road as well the same night? Also, noting the other two men with him under that arrest are from Indianapolis. If they helped with this crime then they could be very well be gone from that town. The comments made by law enforcement in that article are chilling. Just my opinions and thoughts.

I'm shocked too that Mr. Mister didn't seem to do much or any time for his crimes. Is it possible he turned informant?

Man yall would hate to have me as a neighbor in the morning, all my vehicles are super obnoxiously loud. Prolly why the neighbor lady's always giving me dirty looks. Hmmm

As I've mentioned previously on this thread (at large), I have property not far from Courtland. I had never paid much attention to that area, but I decided to go stay at my place this past weekend. I don't get cell service out there, so I've had to do a lot of catching up last night and this morning, so I'm a little delayed in sharing.

Courtland is out of the way from almost any route of travel, situated along Hwy 51 between two interstate exits, Batesville to the north and a rural exit to the south labelled for Pope and Courtland. There is basically nothing west of Courtland; the communities in that direction are far enough away that anyone from there would travel to either of those interstate exits on other roads that don't come close to Courtland. Therefore, Courtland truly is an island separated from the outside world by an interstate to the east, country to the west, and interstate exits both north and south that pull drivers in those directions and prevent passers by. Herron Rd is only travelled by people living in the country, people having business/recreational reasons for visiting somewhere in the country, occasional and routine law enforcement patrols, joyriders, and apparently once an arsonist(s).

My excursion through the area was this past Saturday night around 9 PM. Not having a big dog or cute female legs to flash locals (I'm just teasing you, GreyMatter), I decided it would be imprudent to get out of my car anywhere, and I also didn't want to visit the scene on Herron Rd because I didn't have confidence that I would find anywhere to quietly turn around for miles.

I got gas to the south in Grenada County. I saw a deputy parked at that station and drove over to say hi and offer encouragement. I did so, and our conversation was friendly. He was good friends with the Panola Co sherif and shook his head about the negative statements people were making about the law enforcement effort. This deputy said the sherif was a really good guy. I changed the subject because I didn't like the guy and didn't want to pry and then left. My impression was that this deputy was as good ole boy as they come, bordering on redneck, and definitely would be close minded and a know if all. IMO I can extrapolate that impression to his colleagues.

Driving up interstate 55, I exited at Pope/Courtland. Nothing. Dark. I got on Highway 51 and turned right going north. This is not a big highway. This is a very small two lane road in the country that is called a highway ONLY because it was built by the federal government years ago as one of the only vehicular conduits from New Orleans to Chicago. If you didn't know it was a highway, you would just call it a road. The asphalt is good quality, but there really is not much on either side. You would not want to have a flat tire or run out of gas because it's in the middle of nowhere, or so it feels.

Very quickly, I mean very quickly, the terrain becomes picturesque hills with pretty hardwood trees and homes dotting the landscape. It reminds me more of rural Pennsylvania than Mississippi. You come to a stop sign, and there is a green sign indicating that Courtland is to the left. This is Main Street and the only forced stop in "town." It didn't really feel like a town, more like a loosely grouped bunch of small homes and nice trailers and simple inexpensive structures for houses, businesses, and local government services. It strikes me as the size of what I have always considered to be a community or village rather than a town.

A very short distance later, in a mostly undeveloped stretch, I saw the gas station on my left. The front of the store was well lit, but everything else was pretty dark. There was only one car. This was a Saturday night around 9 o'clock, and there was nobody outside hanging around. Granted, it was like a cold Mississippi 38° (a biting humid cold). I did not dare to stop. The buildings attached looked so so creepy. Lights off, curious structures that really had no clear identity of purpose. Maybe an old motel? Just weird. But not necessarily nefarious. There were a handful of structures in and around the community that were just old and empty, but do not get the impression that the town was dried up… It was not: it just had a few rundown structures like any town in America.

I kept driving north, and the terrain BRIEFLY returned to empty country, and then all of a sudden there was Batesville. Very close. I saw gas stations, and then I turned right and I found myself on the typical bright lit strip of fast food places, strip malls, banks, and gas stations that are typical of all cities that size. Kept going, and I crossed over the interstate and saw more development.

In all, my impression of the Courtland area was really nice. From my limited vehicular browsing at 9pm on a Saturday night in December at 38°, it looked quaint, peaceful, and very well kept for an area without much visible home or vehicle wealth. It seemed like the town took care of itself. I wouldn't be happy there because the people are probably not very cosmopolitan (lol) or intellectual, but they looked like "good folk."

All IMO. Note to mods: If any portion of this post is impermissible, I ask that you only snip that portion rather than deleting the entire thing.

Mister's aka's can be found with minimal googling on this case. Some as easy to find as an explosion that goes BOOM and a couple more that sound very similar.
ETA...and I was complaining about cryptic posts. Oh well.
