Another article. This one adds that Gregory's house was broken into. http://helenair.com/news/local/upda...cle_f21bf134-1452-56ef-8512-5a2e6122a9f8.html

"Chief Johnson said he returned to Gregory’s home on Monday morning and found it had been broken into. He said the front door was open but that someone had taken the air conditioner from the window to gain entry. A big screen TV was found outside the back door; clothing, new towels and pillows were in plastic bags, but something or someone interrupted the activity. Johnson said the television was recovered and the home secured with evidence tape."

And there is this: "Howard said that on Oct. 19 a cleaning woman at the Larkspur home found a large gold bar, and immediately called Beverly who friends said went to the house to get it. The whereabouts of that ingot is unknown at this time, he said."

From the article linked above:

Gregory was last seen by a witness on Oct. 28 at 10 p.m. leaving his residence driving a white 1995 Camry at a speed faster than normal heading east toward downtown Deer Lodge — in a direction opposite from his mother’s house.

Wednesday 10/28 was the day both of them were last seen. What was so urgent he needed to leave his home in a hurry at 10 and head toward downtown, only to have his car end up in the opposite direction at his late father's house on Larkspur Rd in the Beck Hill area north of town? I have an awful feeling the son may have had some connections to some not-so-law-abiding folks.

That gold bar part kinda makes me go whhhaaattt?

That AND a cleaning lady in a home where no one's living because it's being remodeled. Remodel cleaning crews don't even bother coming in until the construction is 100% finished.

I hope someone fed and watered the poor dogs when doing the welfare check, and hope that when the Sheriff went back to find it broken into with the door open the dogs were not lost, especially needing meds. I hope someone is taking care of them until they are found.... I suspect the sixty year old man she had a meal with probably has something to do with this....just my opinion

Officers also entered that home on Sunday to do a welfare check, and nothing appeared out of place, Howard said. The home is located in a subdivision in view of neighbors who have not reported anything unusual.

It wasn't difficult to locate the home on Larkspur and all I can say is... they clearly have a completely different definition of "subdivision" in Montana, than we do here.

I sure hope they're searching all those outbuildings at the late husband/father's house.

I wrote a PM on the fb page, the dogs are being cared for...and Greg's dog is okay.... So if they are found and come home, they do have their beloved pets waiting for them.....Thank Goodness....IMHO

My first thought when I read that Gregory left in a hurry and in the opposite direction from where his car was located was that someone called him to a specific place.

Interesting. It looks like the ownership of that property just switched to Greg's name on Oct 15, 2015. Prior to that it was joint owned with his father.

That's what I thought too. Maybe he got a call saying something happened to Beverly...or a threat like "if you don't want something to happen to Beverly" and that's why he took off.

Now that's rather curious. Obviously something fishy is going on with the son. His associates or something - maybe even something he had no knowledge of, and unwittingly got involved with. Whatever it was that caused him to leave the crock pot on and his dogs unattended was serious enough to him, to get him out the door at 10 at night.

Thank you for doing that! I was also worried about the dogs.

I hope these two are found alive. But it looks kind of unlikely :(

Its not unusual for this property to change hands....Greg's father died on August 31st of this year, so I'm sure this property became solely his with that update in October.

Money is one of the top motives for murder, right?

So here's my theory:

Someone heard about the gold and decided to steal it by kidnapping Beverly. They then called Greg to come and bring the gold in exchange for Beverly. Hence he was seen racing out the door. But he didn't bring the gold and both were killed. Greg's car was then driven to the house where it was found later.

jms (just my speculation)

I'm thinking along those same lines Elainera. Or somebody befriended Beverly with the intent to conduct fraud/steal her wealth, etc and her son got wind of it. I wonder if they have identified the man she was seen having lunch with that day.

As an update, the "Help Find" Facebook page says that they searched all three properties yesterday and leads are being followed up on. Local LE have asked the FBI for assistance. https://www.facebook.com/BevandGregGianonatti

My mind keeps going back to the lunch with the man at the cafe/diner, as people said he was not from around there. Also, the late night phone calls to both on a cell that is turned off most the time. I hope the phone records turn up some clues for officers. I am so saddened by this, I just don't have a good feeling at all. I wonder if there has been any bank activity on either of their accounts? I also wonder if they know where the gold is stored, why would one be left laying out in the open....so much is very perplexing. I am sure this has to do with their wealth, and it just makes me so mad.....Praying somehow, someway, they are being held to gain access to said wealth and somehow they can be found in time.....Praying for them both....IMHO

I saw it rumored, so take it with a grain of salt, that the gold bar found had an exchange rate of $450 K.
Why would that be sitting around a dead man's house?

One that no one lived in due to it being renovated, but had a cleaning lady there. Oh, and the missing son's car parked in the drive, but no sign of him, or his mother. Some serious hink with this case.

Not to mention, I can't be the only one that finds it rather odd, that a nearly 80 year old single woman would be moving out of town where all the conveniences are, and into a big old 4 bedroom home, way out in the middle of nowhere, more or less. That just seems so backwards from what most older folks do. Leave the big old house and find something smaller with NO yard work to deal with and close to everything (doctor, shopping, churches, etc.).
