Missing Person Case

Posting due to the location. Depending on where the decedent entered Flathead Lake and the exact location the skull was picked up by the boat's gill net, the lake is about 15 mins. (Somers, MT) to 1 hour (Polson, MT) from Kalispell. My thoughts are with investigators as they attempt make an ID and also with the victim's loved ones.

Just found a snippet from the Daily Inter Lake newspaper out of Flathead County, MT about Gerald.

It looks like Gerald, also known as Jerry according to obituaries of his family members, was trying to sell his car in late October 1976. He was last seen in January 1977. Looks like he was living just outside Kalispell at the time. The ad, which ran for two Sunday editions, stated that the 1975 Bronco (essentially brand new) was "must sell"?

Did he run into money troubles? Maybe gambling debts, drugs? Did he ever sell the car? If he did, I wonder how he was getting around town in the meantime? Lots of questions still but interesting to see that something was brewing in the fall of 1976 before he went missing in early 1977.
