Mystery Man Surveillance

IMO They are the ones who got an exclusive with this family and paid big bucks to do so.

How stupid do they think the public is? This video shows nothing. The guy seems happy, walking along swinging his arms, no baby in them.

Talk about sleazy journalism. MOO:furious:

Bouncing off your post.

I must have missed where the family was paid big bucks from ABC. Can you provide a reputable link to substantiate this?

Also, I would appreciate a link that states that the family gave ABC this video and that ABC didn't obtain it themselves.

TIA!!!

Interesting. The defense attorney brings up some good points which adds to the mystery in this case in my opinion.

I wish the media had spent more time on that surveillance video. From the map shown we have a good idea where it was taken, it's proximity to the Irwin home, and that it was taken at 2:15am. It shows that LE is investigating everything in the area.

The family's attorney, Cyndy Short, seems to be pretty down to earth, just showing the home and pointing out her observations. She certainly isn't flamboyant and making statements that can't be supported like some defense attorneys do.

I'm thinking of the antics of Jose Baez (Casey Anthony) and Joel Brodsky (Drew Peterson) when I mention flamboyant defense attorneys.

Theories Abound About Lisa Irwin and Local Investigators Will Not Comment On Them

ABC News claims Kansas City, Mo. police are looking at surveillance video from a nearby gas station, video ABC says may support the theory that Lisa Irwin was abducted from her home in the middle of the night.

However, when FOX 4 asked KCMO Police about the report and the video, police responded with an email to us, which indicated they consider these national news theories and investigations rogue and amateur, if not unhelpful.

Surveillance video obtained by ABC News comes from a BP gas station near the Irwin house. It shows a man emerging from the woods at about 2:30 a.m. although it doesn't appear he is carrying a baby.

Capt. Steve Young, Public Information Officer with the police department responded to the latest national news theory with the following email:

"I know you have to ask, but I cannot comment on details and don't want to even try keeping up with media freelance investigations."

From the above statements in red and blue.................doesn't sound like the local LE is placing any importance on this surveillance tape. In the media business, it's all about scooping the competition, and this may well be ABC's "scoop" of the day.

I'll be sitting over here on the bench with Steve. Come get us when something substantial crops up. ;)

Oh yeah, isn't this video 2:30 am? Right in between the reported sightings. No baby that I can see. Don't know what the location is in relation to the Irwin home and reported sightings so....
It just makes good sense that LE would be viewing any available surveillance cameras to try and get a lead. Rule in or out these tips.

The video showing a guy with no baby isn't a lead. He wasn't seen on the video as doing anything illegal.

Wait, that was Harvey! (Does anyone remember the Jimmy Stewart movie?) I guess that would make as much sense as being able to identify anyone else from that video.
I am sick of the media and defense team being able to run with wild theories and sensationalism and our justice system being mocked this way.

The more I look at this, I see the only thing the blob is "emerging" from is behind the view of the tree in the BP parking lot. In the 2nd picture here, we're looking at the catty-corner view of NE Parvin & N Brighton. He's crossing the intersection on the north side walking east on Parvin, correct?? Unless there are "woods" in the middle of a paved intersection, I'm not following this one...

I think it is extremely important for LE to try and verify the sightings reported especially since both people are saying white tee shirt and diapered baby spotted in those am hours so close to where Lisa was supposed to have been taken from. That four hour gap between witnesses has never sat right with me. I realize there is quite a distance between the two but why would a kidnapper be out and about with an undressed baby all those hours? Nope, doesn't make sense.

I've seen homeless people carry dolls - are we sure these sightings are of real children?

Also, we had a case in Provo-Orem Utah a couple of years ago, where a mother passed out drunk and the baby managed to crawl out of the house, crawl two blocks, and was found crawling down the middle of State Street (US 89) in the middle of the night.

BBM People suck. :maddening:

I'd actuall thought of scenario as well. Could Lisa have crawled out of that place and gotten lost somewhere in the woods? Just a thought.

I still am having a difficult time imagining this woman with no history of abuse of any kind would kill their child.

Well, I was glad to see that LE took the crib bedding this time.

I felt the same way. Looks like someone walking in an intersection there, not emerging from the woods at all.

I've seen many prosecutions of parents with no KNOWN history.

The reporting for this case is really making me angry. Everything should be checked out, but I feel like it is extremely irresponsible to basically call this random person walking on the street the kidnapper and saying that it supports the kidnapping claim. It could just be...a random person walking on the street.

Not a very good chance of crawling to the woods from there. But I feel ya on the difficult time.

A war of the networks... ABC and Fox. Fox is trying to downplay this video that ABC says is so important.

(I happen to agree with Fox and LE)

Not to mention the fact it could be one of Lisa's parents walking out of the "woods." Doesn't support the kidnapping theory in any way, shape, or form, based on that grainy video.

THE most important part of this report is the carpet in the house. If the cadaver dog "hit" on it, and then LE got a warrant, why the heck didn't they take the carpet? That supports my possible theory that LE "faked" the hit to get the search warrant (as in, used a less trained dog). That would also explain why they wanted the warrant sealed.

According to WS's SAR experts, there are certifications for the best trained dogs, but there are a lot of less than well-trained dogs (and handlers). That would be a really easy way to get a judge to sign off on a warrant, just bring in a handler who (wink, wink) knows what LE wants. Of course, if they really want to search, they would get a certified, highly trained dog.

There is absolutely no other reason that LE would have left the carpet on the floor. They left it because they know there is nothing on it.

Just my own little opinion, of course.

The search warrant didn't say the dog hit on carpet, did it?

I don't believe LE has had to fake anything nor has any WS SAR experts here even suggested it.
