ok, i had to watch the link kellis posted again...

i see your point now Phil.....but i guess what's confusing is how often the camera shows this white thing/material laying on the side of the pond....but, IMO, either side of it, he would have almost had to carry her a piece.....unless he pulled up really close off the road, in the dirt there where the investigators are standing around, & rolled her down the embankment...?....so sad:(

I'm discounting a sitter too because he wasn't at the party, and because nothing's been mentioned of him picking up the girls in the morning, just that he says Nancy went out to jog @ 7am.
True nothing was mentioned, but I figured since she was out and not feeling well..the girls could have been staying at a friend's house.

The whole feeling rough thing sounds like stress to me. It is possible they had been fighting the night before up until the dinner.

Here is my theory for the moment:

I think whatever took place happened after she returned home from the dinner. A fight over how long she was gone, who was at the dinner, or possibly he didn't want her to go in the first place. He most likely got very angry and struck her which could be a reason for the *detergent/bleach product. I think she was only stunned. If he went into a blind rage at that point, I would say he strangled her to death as she instinctively clawed at his arms to stop him. He changed her clothes into what he claimed she was wearing when he last saw her (remember...truth in lies). He loaded her in the car while it was in the garage and drove to dump her where she was found. In his excellent physical condition, he could have easily carried her to that spot.

* Reasons I don't think he purchased the detergent/bleach on the way home:

a) He wouldn't go look for it while she was still in the house to know they did not have any. I don't think he was that calm and rational at the time.

b) He would not have taken the time to focus on the clean up until after everything was over. He needed to focus on his plan to dispose of her.

c) He wouldn't go into the store with blood on his shirt, dirt, or fresh scratches on his arms. He went home and cleaned himself up first.

Well, not totally, he had to get her there-

Does anyone think the purse in the car is relevant to what happened? I was thinking, if she was right in the neighborhood, she never drove it that evening?I have also been reviewing domestic homicides like this looks like, and sadly, in 100% of cases, the perp has an infidelity issue or some sort of Major secretive event or activity; people just don't risk killing and losing everything, when in general they appear to be rational and logical in everyday life. I have that gut feeling Brad is a bad boy and Nancy found out.

right....from what i understand, the party was in the neighborhood...i don't know if it's been reported or not, but i'm leaning toward Nancy actually walking to the party.....i still don't understand why she'd leave her purse in the car though, OR why HE would put it there either:confused:

For those of you who want to and can't see Brads classmates.com account, here's some screenshots.

Am I wrong or is it odd for someone to have this many online "sites"-

Just found this. (Family mentioned!)
Let's see how this looks when I paste it from his Classmates profile:

What are your favorite outdoor activities?
  • Cycling
  • Jogging
It's movie night-what do you like to see?
  • Action flicks
What pet(s) do you have (or wish you had)?
  • Dogs
What brings you to Classmates?
  • Pure curiosity
What's your current relationship status?
  • Married
How many kids do you have (or want to have)?
  • Two

aaahhh, then i AM surprised....

Am I wrong or is it odd for someone to have this many online "sites"-

lol...no, i find it odd also, but i guess it's because i've only been in one "group" site, other than here at WS....lots of folks join lots of online group sites though.....

I don't know, Blink. I've got quite a few for different purposes. Are you saying that because he's a guy? Just wondering!

momto3, can you give us the location/address of the store? I'd like to know so we can check how much time would be needed for various trips made by BC. (Which we still have to figure out, basically.) Thank you!

I don't find it odd he had that many sites. He probably was given many of the addresses by buddies who shared his interest in cycling, hiking, running, etc. when he was going across the country doing his sport. Plus...since he was from outside the country, he may want to allow his friends and family keep up with his MANY accomplishments. If you hadn't noticed...he liked to brag about everything except his wife and daughters!

But doesnt that have him leaving twice? That's a hell of a chance to take that both kids (especially the 2 year old) would wake, no?

I was thinking about that too.

Remember Lori Hacking?
Her husband was a consummate liar and killed her because his secret life of lies was about to be found out.

Laci Peterson's husband, SP, was romancing Amber Frey.:furious:

Michelle Young, pregnant murdered in her home.
Her poshusband hasn't been arrested yet though.

There are so many tragedys like this.
I don't understand why these men don't divorce their wifes instead of killing them?

sounds pretty good, except he'd have to be pretty calm & rational, IMO, to change her clothes....it wouldn't have taken but minutes to change his own, before disposing of her body.....

interesting though....if she got home a little past midnight, a fight started, he killed her, disposed of her body, went home & cleaned himself up, then went back out to the store & bought cleaning products at 4 am....just thinking here...wonder why he'd tell LE he stopped at the store at 6 am?....guess it sounded less suspicious than saying 4 am....hmmmm

OH, excellent question, TM!...i hope she responds!

It is confusing close_enough. I most likely jumped to the conclusion about him pulling into the culde sac. But we have no idea which direction he drove. Does that many any sense?

You could be right that she walked to the dinner since she was accustomed to running/walking long distances. It being in the neighborhood would seem close to her.

The purse appears to be a common thing to leave in your car...if you believe that when your car is in the garage, it is as safe as in the house. At first, I thought it was odd, but not anymore. (If her cell phone was found inside the purse...he has another problem as I think she would have taken it to walk in the neighborhood.)

Infidelity could play a role here. We know it does pop up frequently in these cases and usually the reason for the divorce. He doesn't seem to take a lot of pride in his family and is focused on himself so much. His ego might need to be fed constantly which could be a catalyst for an affair.

yes, it does phil:)....there's just no way to tell for sure, by that helicopter view, exactly where her body was....

eta...wish i knew for sure what that white piece of material was!

This is probably just wishful thinking, but is there any way that (for once) the husband didn't do it?

I'm getting so sick at heart over all these cases of perfectly nice women being killed by their husbands. The police chief said that it wasn't a random killing, so that the killer targeted Nancy in particular, right? And who would do that except for her husband or a friend/acquaintance?

RC

Me too. I emailed the station and asked them about the white cloth. They haven't emailed me back yet.:)

Reminder:
Police say they won’t give out any further information on the case until a 9 a.m. press conference Wednesday morning. Stay tuned to News 14 Carolina for more updates as they become available.
