Yes, wrote checks and sent in fake photos of her daughters rowing, but it’s all a big misunderstanding. Have you noticed how psycho her eyes are in the photos where she’s got that big toothy smile? My hubby pointed that out to me, lol.

I’m actually beginning to wonder if she’s going to go so far as to try to place all the blame on her husband.

No, she needs him and his money. Her career is trash now. The MSM rags bother me, no way would she be sentenced to 40 years in prison! If nothing else, they will string this out forever, and make a last minute deal. After all, if 16 felonies can disappear...stranger things have happened...

Sentencing begins this week for the first of 20 parents, coaches and other defendants who pleaded guilty to felonies.

Defense attorneys are sifting through the evidence that the government handed over last month – and there’s a lot of it. The evidence spans 3 million pages, including 1 million pages of emails, 4,500 separate wiretapped phone conversations and extensive bank records and other documents kept by Singer. It’s so voluminous that the defense is struggling to find the portions relevant to their clients.

Lori Loughlin digs in – and 7 more surprises and takeaways in college admissions scandal

The University of Southern California has raised the possibility of a future legal dispute with actress Lori Loughlin and her husband, designer Mossimo Giannulli, for their alleged roles. The potential civil dispute between the university and the celebrity couple was referenced in a motion filed Thursday by prosecutors seeking a court hearing on possible conflicts of interests facing attorneys representing 11 of the 50 defendants in the sweeping college admissions case.

During a court hearing Monday, federal magistrate Page Kelley indicated that she will seek to have defendants appear in court in person to address the conflicts. It's unclear when the hearings would take place.

John Vandemoer, who admitted to accepting $610,000 in bribes to designate two prospective students, neither of whom wound up attending Stanford, as sailing recruits, was sentenced Wednesday in Boston federal court to two years of supervised release with six months of home detention. He was also ordered to pay a $10,000 fine.

Prosecutors had previously recommended Vandemoer be sentenced to 13 months in prison and a year of supervised release, and pay a $250,000 fine.

The expelled student was not named in the indictment and had not been recommended by Vandemoer for admission, but school officials said they "determined that some of the material in the student’s application is false and, in accordance with our policies, have rescinded admission."

The student was admitted through the standard application process, but after she got into the school, a $500,000 contribution to the sailing team was made via Vandemoer. The school is also deciding what to do with the money that was donated to the sailing team as part of the scheme.

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli's attorneys denied a government motion to be removed from the couple's case in the college admissions scandal.

In court documents, Latham & Watkins slammed the "baseless accusations" from prosecutors and denied having a conflict of interest despite previously representing the University of Southern California (USC) in prior unrelated cases. Prosecutors reportedly filed a motion to have the firm removed from Loughlin and Giannulli's case due to their past work with the very college for which couple allegedly bribed their daughters' admissions.

Giannulli, 56, and Loughlin, 54, each filed declarations affirming that despite Latham & Watkins' prior representation of USC, they still want the firm to remain on their criminal cases.

A judge has yet to rule on the motion.
