This case is maddening because of the tight timeline and all the people who can't understand why Pierre would do any of this. I don't know anyone involved, but it just doesn't seem likely to me that Pierre would kill the girls.

Here's another scenario I have come up with that I haven't seen posted yet. (If so, sorry!) The timeline starts just a little earlier than what is reported in order to make it work, but I'm wondering if the roommate could have said the girls left "around 10pm," instead of "at 10pm."

All speculation!!
-At some point prior to the incident, Uhon gives Pierre the name of a drug dealer who lives in Deaverview, and maybe even is part of setting up a meeting.
-9:48pm - Pierre and the girls leave Canterbury Apartments to go to Deaverview (a 2 minute drive) to conduct a drug deal.
-9:50pm - When they get to Deaverview, the drug dealer jumps in the car and insists that they drive to the river to do the deal. (3 miles and 9 minutes according to Google)
-10:00pm - When they get to the river, the drug dealer pulls out a gun, robs them and shoots the girls when they resist. Pierre gets away. Enraged, Pierre runs on foot to Pisgah View (a 2-mile or 32-minute walk according to Google), where he confronts Uhon about setting him and the girls up to get robbed. He shoots Uhon and steals his car.
-10:34pm - Uhon's father calls 911.
- Sometime later that night, the drug dealer tries to push the car in the river, where it gets stuck. He pulls the girls' bodies out of the car and into the river. He walks home, cleans up, and no one is the wiser.

Another variation of this would be if the drug dealer told them to meet at the river to begin with, so they went straight to the river, where the drug dealer was waiting to ambush them. This would make the tight timeline fit a little better.

In any case, I hope they get the right people in jail because I don't think it could be just Pierre who did all this.

Looks like we all feel there must be another person involved in all this.

I don't think Pierre will talk though. He's charged with 1st degree murder, he will want to make sure nothing is added to that to have any chance of getting out of jail at some point in his life. As it stands he can now easily pin everything that happened on Uhon, he's dead, he can't defend himself nor contradict anything PG says. The longer the two girls are not found the better for him, any evidence will have disappeared. If they want to charge him with the murder of Alex and Tatianna, they will have to prove it, and that will be hard to do. They could possibly tie his gun to the shot wounds in their bodies (if there are any) but this will be hard to do once the bodies are decomposed enough. For Pierre it's best not to say anything, not even if another person was present. After enough time has passed he might tell them where the bodies of the girls are (if not yet found, and assuming he knows) to reduce his charges or sentence if they offer a deal.

What if they're not dead? Or not both of them? Or what I think most likely is that if one of the girls was the target they were injured and kidnapped. Bodies may turn up somewhere else as a message to "somebody"

One of Tatiana's sisters said on one of her public FB posts about the girls that police have confirmed an abduction but I have no msm to back that up. If there is blood that determined the girls were injured but not enough to be fatal maybe the police have gone in that direction. Although maybe they just say that because they haven't found them near the car or in the water yet.

Maybe they found a blood trail on land, signaling the girls (or just one of them) were removed before the car was dumpEd halfway in the water.

Maybe Uhon set them up with the person they met for the drug deal & Pierre blamed him for being set up. Hopefully Uhon's phone records can lead them in the right direction although I know a lot of even low key drug dealers know how to stay untraceable.

That, plus people saying he had been in the house doing homework (from virtually the get go of when who was shot went public) has been the thing that makes me also think it's someone other than Uhon.

If you look at 30 seconds in this video you can see it's very clearly the interior of a unit that is taped off - it does appear Uhon was at least in the house far enough that's where the crime scene is and not even outside (so not like Pierre caught up to him coming back or something)

I hadn't seen this before - video of Uhon's dad talking - the interesting part is you can see them that night appearing to take pictures in the unit since there are flashes (about 1:20 in and again later)

Wish this were a city there are apt to be lots of stringers who have sites they post raw video on as sources to the news sites. It'd be nice to see in this one!

A Buncombe County warrant obtained by News 13 shows the last calls and texts made by Alex King were to Pierre Griffin, who is now charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of Uhon Johnson in the Pisgah View apartment complex.

According to police reports, the women may have been involved in a drug deal with Griffin on Tuesday night.

But Vanessa does not wish to comment on any police reports -- she simply wants to know where her sister Tatianna is.

Alex King's car was found by construction workers partially submerged in the French Broad off Craven Street, abandoned and with a bullet hole in the headrest and blood on the seats.

"We were terrified," Vanessa said. "I ran to my mom's house told her about it and I was shaking."

Heavy rain and fog Monday hampered the river portion of the search for two Buncombe County women who haven't been seen in nearly a week.

Boats were not deployed on the French Broad River Monday afternoon after four days of Asheville Fire Department boats scouring the waters yielded no clues into the women's disappearance.

"The weather is kind of a hindering factor right now," Asheville Police Department spokeswoman Christina Hallingse said Monday morning.

She emphasized that the search for Alexandra King, 22, and Tatianna Diz, 20, is ongoing and said the river is only one aspect of the search.

"There are investigators constantly following up on leads," Hallingse said. "It hasn’t stopped and will not stop."

They don't believe the copter will be launched to help search anymore (seems to be more b/c it wouldn't be effective - maybe too much cover over the river?) for reasons beyond weather, and that it was only used Thursday and Friday.

Tuesday, Oct. 27/15 - 10:00 pm: Girls leave as per roommate to give Griffin ride to Deaverview (< 1 mile). Griffin's GF was house-sitting for her uncle in the unit directly across from the girls'.

Tuesday, Oct. 27/15 - 10:34 pm: Asheville police respond to Johnson's shooting at Pisgah View (~3 miles from Deaverview). Police state that Johnson and Griffin were acquantinces. Johnson dies in hospital as a result of his injuries.

Tuesday, Oct. 27/15 - "sometime later": Griffin flees in Johnson's Expedition and tries to get GF to come with him from her uncle's apartment.

Tuesday, Oct. 27/15 - 11:15 pm: Three-county vehicle chase occurs. Griffin is shot in Polk County ~ 11:30 pm.

Wednesday, Oct. 28/15 - 8:03 am: Asheville police receive report of 1988 Jetta pushed down the bank of the French River in the River Arts District. This turns out to be the vehicle the girls were seen leaving in.

Wednesday, Oct. 28/15 - 9:53 am: Asheville police announce Griffin's murder charge associated with Johnson. He is in Spartanburg Regional Hospital receiving treatment for the gunshot wounds that occurred at the end of the vehicle chase.

There was some confusion about what LE was ok with the public helping with and Tatianna's sister clarified LE is fine with them searching places OTHER than the river area.

In fact they seem to basically welcome the help by Deaverview and Pisgah or anywhere else, but away from the river
