I saw him but thought he was too far before the early October death date.

The October death was the second body allegedly killed by Amber. There's credible speculation who that is as well.

This is my area. Aack! The locations where these arrested folks lived were not bad parts of the area at all. The last woman arrested lived very close to all the great little pubs, art stores, etc we have downtown.

I'm surprised I haven't ever seen this evil dude out, and that's a very scary thought! But we do have a lot of 'alternative' folks, so lots of tattoos and piercings and such wouldn't stand out as much as you might think. Usually those people are just artsy or punk rock, etc.

I'm trying to imagine how the whole demon thing would go here. Probably like a rebellious, attention-seeking kid in high school. I could see that. At his age now, though, I'm thinking he had to hang with a druggie crowd, right? Good neighborhoods or not, hanging out with this guy reeks of having some sort of screw loose, imho! He thinks he's a demon. That's not amusing as adults

Algarad has history of mental illness

Doctors in 2010 noted poor hygiene, schizophrenia

The doctors also noticed that Algarad had intentionally filed down his teeth, had poor hygiene and body odor, the report said.

“And he admitted that he bathed no more than once a year, and had not brushed his teeth in years,” the report said. “He felt such actions stripped … the body of its defenses in warding off infection and illness.”

The psychiatrists determined that Algarad suffered from schizophrenia, agoraphobia and alcoholism, but found him mentally competent to stand trial.

Very disappointed with both of these articles. One is fraught with inaccuracies regarding schizophrenia and agoraphobia and the other is a clear violation of HIPPA rights.

“We all knew she went off the deep end when she went to Winston-Salem,” Pagel said. “When she made her Facebook page, we saw this person with sharpened teeth. Muslim attire. When I saw the page I thought, what was she thinking? He is not attractive. Where did he come from? You could tell he wasn’t Islamic. Who is this person and how did he meet Amber? I don’t think anyone knows.”

Carter reported Wetzler missing in February 2010. "We really got concerned when he didn't call his mother on her birthday. And then in February, a friend of mine called and said he heard a rumor that he was buried in Pazuzu's back yard and I went to the police and reported him as a missing person at that time and told them the story." Investigators searched Algarad's house in 2010. Why and what was found has been sealed in the search warrants.

Why he was targeted is a question his family wants answered... "I have never heard him mention this guy, nothing about him. I don't know how he got there or why he was there," said Martha Wetzler.

"I have no idea what caused them to cross paths," Carter explained.

Wetzler liked going to music festivals and listening to such jam bands as Widespread Panic and the Grateful Dead. He could often be seen at the shows wearing a full beard, a baseball cap atop a bushy head of hair and a hemp necklace.

He was not violent and had no interest in Satanism or the occult, Carter said. “Hell, no,” Carter said when asked whether he had such interests. “I don’t know what put him in contact with them (Algarad and Burch)”...

It was not unusual for Wetzler to hit the road for a few months. He was a bit of a drifter.

Rusty Welch said the last five years have been tough, waiting and wondering...

Tommy was the oldest of three boys, who grew up in Arkansas. Tommy was good with cars and enjoyed souping up his cars and upgrading the stereo systems. Tommy drank on occasion, Rusty said, but was never into drugs.

They were close, he said. After Tommy went missing, Rusty spent his free time searching for his brother in the woods and checking in garbage cans. “It got really bad,” he said. “So my wife decided it’d be better for me to stop looking around.”

This is about 30 minutes from me if that. I am so glad that these two men can finally rest in peace and their families have closure. This is the talk of everyone around here. They are cleaning the backyard today. The police were called and told that there were bodies in that backyard along time ago because this guy went around bragging about it but LE just thought it was made up and didn't investigate further. They claimed they went there and found nothing. I don't believe that..Everybody is glad that this monster is off the streets around here and his crazy wife.

Crews from the Clemmons Public Works Department were at 2749 Knob Hill Drive in Clemmons Thursday morning removing debris from the property where the skeletal remains of two men were found on Oct. 5.

Workers were clearing the backyard, loading piles of debris into a front-end loader and into a dump truck. Old lawn furniture, vegetation, a garden hose, and plastic bins were among some of the items that could be seen in the front-end loader...

Chief Brad Stanley of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said no more human remains have been found, though the investigation is ongoing. He said he does not know how long the investigation at the property will take. He declined to comment further.

This article provides some substantiation to the swirl of rumors (often very wild) by verified eyewitness. The personality ironies are sure piling up. Anyone care to venture a guess on modes of death? I suspect something unusual if not bizarre which wouldn't be surprising considering. When I was first told what turned out to be the basic facts of this case some five years ago by a friend of one of the victims I didn't believe it - simply dismissed it as someone's far fetched imagination.
