Not sure with his criminal record if he was allowed to possess a legal handgun. jmo idk

Scott has a criminal record in three states, including Texas, South Carolina and North Carolina. Texas records show that he was convicted of evading arrest with a vehicle in 2005, and several months later of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

In 1992 in South Carolina, records show Scott pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Court records also show a misdemeanor assault conviction in North Carolina from 2004.

And the officer who shot him knew his record how?????????

"not fond of cops"

sounds a lot like stereotyping. you just generally dislike all cops even if you know nothing about them?

been victim of their abuse decades ago, myself firends and my community, yeh dont feel much respect,

Unless you have been victimized by their power and its abuse its hard not to stand up and cheer for them .

.however on the other side of the coin its real hard to find any respect for them after you have lived through their abuse

so yes, there is a reason why all this is going on - the cell phone has shown the rest of the world what has been going on for years

and we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg

so glad cell phones are getting them but they keep on doing it just turn on the new every day

i posted two 10 posts back today

they shot a dude dead , his hands were up - he was retreating - he is dead

its on video check it out the cop should be in jail now

there is nothing to investigate - its on video, the cop murdered someone several hours ago

Hm. So teams protest doing the knee. That is not ok either.

So what I'm seeing now in the live feed is a solid police line with shields, and a bunch of young white guys with iphones taking pictures, and a feeling the media is really hoping someone gets hurt. Or hoping a brick flies through a window.

- described as mostly peaceful protestors, but interspersed with agitator provocateur types.

- one injured police officer, being helped by fellow officers.

- civiian on civiian person transported earlier is now a fatal gunshot victim.

- seven police officers have been taken to hospitals. no further info. source: some charlotte city council person

I agree Human !

The only thing that matters is what happened before a cop shot someone thats it -- all this going back to history - was the citizen in that moment threatening to a cop

if not its murder - its simple

human-- go back and look at the video I posted a couple posts back -- disgusting

with the broke down SUV in the road that one -- the guy was walking away with his hands up and his back to cops she shot him dead
what is there to " investigate" unjuustifed murder

yeah its enough to convince one the riots are unrelated to the police shooting the guy pointing a gun at em.

None of this makes any sense.

It seems like their sole motivations are to have the opportunity to destroy property, attack others, attack the police, commit arson, and loot anything not tied down. None of this has one thing to do with the armed man being shot in Charlotte. They are using him as an excuse. IMO

Why don't they all gang up in OK. Why do this to the city of Charlotte? I just don't get it and frankly I am glad that I don't understand any of this violence and chaos either.

uptown Charlotte is full of young white guys.

Just heard the news. Checking in.

Please, let the rest of the night pass peacefully.

Not fond of Le but this is messed up

Same here, but this is wrong and dangerous.

It upsets me they say "It started out peaceful" because it's not like that. Some people are there for a peaceful protest and some people there want to riot and destroy *****. It's not like the peaceful people got tired of chanting and holding signs and turned violent.

They have to be jumping out of their skin. Its sad that they are the very ones who protect the protestors only to be turned on by vile evil worthless people.
RSBM

Agreed !!!
Anytime people (no matter what their grievance) stop traffic on an interstate or wherever , loot and burn --- they have lost all meaning for their "cause".

I am all for the right to PEACEFUL protest ;and I think it's an important right -- but so many have abused it that it's become practically meaningless.

If I was the mayor or chief of police in that city... I'd impose a curfew immediately ; with exception to those arriving or leaving from work.

Ok, this is a question I've pondered ... WHY did the lady who witnessed the shooting from a second story window say (on video) "...he had a BOOK in his hands..." ??
Why did she LIE ? Did she want places to be looted and burned ?
Grrr !
I'm certain the cops didn't go and hide his 'book' ; and then replace it with a gun they conveniently brought with them.

:moo:

that is a accurate summary!!

I dont know I just cant throw stuff at another human being cop or not

that is a accurate summary!!

I hear ya about the media. It does seem like they hope for something to happen so they can capture it on film.

But, we NEED the media there. Otherwise things are done without question, are covered up, denied. Well, that happens anyway, but responsible journalists need to keep watch, ask questions. I guess "responsible" is the key word.

That shooting has nothing to do with the armed man being shot in Charlotte. Why make the citizens of Charlotte pay? The officer who shot the man with his hands up wasn't even in NC ...it was in OK. Why don't they go there and torment and terrorize.
