Doesn't seem so. Since that was mostly chain of evidence testimony, we didn't get much in terms of results. The current witness will testify to any findings.

Sorry, I'm in and out today. House guest coming tomorrow and I'm cleaning up a bit!

Item 29, hair from blanket on top of hutch was suitable for testing. Item 10, hair and debris from bath drain and trap. 4 were sent for DNA analysis.

Sigh, now we need to hear from the DNA tech.

All the testable hairs appeared to be Caucasian, but had a lot of diameter variations and both ends tapered. Could have been caused by water, soap, etc., running over them in the trap.

For goodness sake, did they find Laura's blood and hair or not? This is tedious.

Why were these items just sent for testing in April 2013?

Is this SOP?

I am growing weary of absolutely nothing showing any blood, hair, fingerprints, etc. I am hoping we'll have a big boom of evidence with the next witness or so.

I truly believe the focus is on that bathroom because that's where they did the sawing.

Weds, July 13: they kill Laura shortly after she arrives, put her in the bathtub. The boys were kept in another room. They never saw her.
- 9:30pm. Then they go get a snack at Chick Fil AThurs, July 14:
- 2:40am, GH is at walmart buying supplies
- 10am: Sha comes and takes kids away
- 10am to 4:30pm: This is when they dismember her in the hall bathroom. They have shower curtain to contain splatter (sorry) inside the tub area, they probably taped plastic over the walls, also. The guy in the unit below them was probably at work, thus their doing it during the day Thursday.

Fri, July 15:
- they get the U-haul hitch put on the car
- 12:20 pm: GH is at Walmart @ 6600 Glenwood buying duffel bags

Sat, July 16:
- GH gets U-haul, buys ice and coolers at Target
- Later 8:10pm, they buy more coolers and return the duffels to Walmart

Sometime Thursday night, Friday and/or Saturday, cleaning is being done.

Sun, July 17:
- the fam stays at Motel 6 in Montgomery, AL

Mon, July 18: the H's arrive in Richmond, TX

All JMO...and I think the SBI will show that the sample taken from the hall bathroom is Laura's blood.

bbm

Guess that killing stuff made 'em hungry. But if they dismemebered her on Thursday, and didn't get the coolers until Saturday, wouldn' the body and blood and everything have been smelling? I don't understand what they did with the body from Wednesday until Saturday with no ice or anything....did they have a freeezer in the garage?

It would made sense to do the dismemberment in a smaller space so they could cover the walls and make sure eveyrthing was covered in plastic/tarp.

Would anyone be able to identify who this older gentleman is in this photo?

I've seen him lean in at the Defense table on other days & speak to GH.

IIRC, he is with the State Defender's office, as I remember. I have seen him on the DT table before. I think (??) he is an investigator for the Defender's office.

This is very tedious, and so necessary. Hopefully, the DNA person will be up next... or another intermediate specialist who processed other items.

I love those "state of mind" inclusions. As viewers we then get to hear the evidence.

How could they not have a standard hair sample from Laura? They had her entire apartment! Surely that would include hair(s)?

This happened over and over in the Cooper case. Long drawn-out presentation of potential evidence that was collected then more long drawn-out testimony from the lab folks...and every single time it ended with "no presence of blood."

</worst episode of CSI ever!>

Surely these killers did not remove every DNA/hair/fiber evidence of Laura being killed.

Surely.

We are coming up on a big reveal, I pray. There has to be something. Has to be.

Oh I pray that doesn't happen here.

:praying:

I wonder if GH & AH could have bought ice on Thursday, the 14th at a random place that was never checked for video (gas station, etc) or even on the 15th on the way back from the Sheetz in Wilson. They could have kept the body iced down in the bathtub until they transferred it to the coolers.

Guess Mr. Grant over there put all his brain cells into hiding the actual killing, he didn't have any left over for the rest of it :)

Melanie McGuire dismembered her husband in the bathroom of her Woodbridge, NJ apartment. Nobody heard her use her electric saw. She and a friend cleaned the place and there was zero evidence there. Dumped his body in suitcases off the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

Guilty!

But even if it does turn out that their clean up erased blood and DNA evidence, they are still caught being in TX with her body after travelling there. There is no chance that the body got there by other than GH and AH via their road trip. I'm not even sure they need blood evidence in this trial, IYKWIM.
