Looking in DC eyes with the last mugshot those eyes look dark and cold. No bag's under her eye's, just a cold blank stare. I think they were part of the trafficking. The phone call to her sister in Moldova she said she felt like she was under general anesthesia, could it be possible DC was drugged in order to get M out of the house? Also in the conversation with her sister she said she felt like she was being spied on when she left the house or went shopping and her call's being listened in on, maybe that is where the wire tap comes into play. This will make major headlines when it all comes to light.

More info on the backyard burning has finally been released. Reported at 5:25 pm on 11/30/22. Not much more than time and date, incident report is linked in the article. The fire was small but big enough to send a fire engine.

CORNELIUS, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Queen City News has obtained a new report that sheds more light on what happened following Madalina Cojocari’s disappearance.

An incident report provided by Cornelius Police reveals law enforcement officers were called to the Cojocari home on Nov. 30, 2022, in reference to a “small fire burning between this address and the car wash.”

On Tuesday, Cornelius Police Chief David Baucom confirmed police had been called to the home in reference to Diana Cojocari, Madalina’s mother, burning furniture in the backyard.

Though most neighbors did not want to appear on camera, several told Queen City News they had personally witnessed smoke coming from the Cojocari backyard on several occasions.

Are we sure the controlled substance was a "street drug" brought in from the outside? It's also possible that the controlled substance was in the form of prescription pills from within the prison that were traded by inmates with prescriptions for them.

I'm very curious to know what her drug of choice is.

Regardless of what it was or how exactly she obtained it and whether she's dealing with others or just for personal use, I agree with the above poster who said this just further demonstrates her character.

Madalina Cojocari’s mother faces new charges, accused of having fentanyl in jail

"
On March 17, a search was conducted and Cojocari was found with a baggie of white power in her shirt pocket.

A test concluded that the powder was a cocaine and fentanyl-based substance. Cojocari claimed she found the bag of drugs in the shower, prosecutors said."

Excellent! Now they'll have a solid reason to keep her behind bars longer while they work on getting more of the case sorted out. As far as I know, all either of them have been charged with so far otherwise is not reporting a child missing. How long can they hold them on that alone.

I wonder if DC or CP have gave up the info on Madalina and LE will not say they are cooperating behind the scene.
<modsnip - comments on social media are not allowed> I pray that the innocent sweet angel that did not deserve any of this is found safe.

My understanding is that couples involved in a serious crime together nearly always turn on each other. They are assigned separate attorneys and I think the first one to talk usually gets a better deal, which probably looks pretty good to them, if they're both possibly looking at life sentences. And, of course, the investigators know how to play them against each other.

I guess the above could already have happened behind the scenes? I wonder too. I am not sure but I'd expect they'd only make a public announcement outside of court if/when Madalina (or her remains, unfortunately) are found.

Anyone know more about the usual process?

LE have had a Judge seal the search warrant until April 19th I wonder if they are getting the warrant info extended again or if it will be released. Also a husband and wife do not have to testify against each other. I'm not a lawyer but being held a charges not reporting a child missing I believe can keep you in jail for only so long. But there have been trials without a body being recovered. There are so many scenarios with the info so far it's mind boggling.

If M is being hidden it would have to be a 24/7 job of watching her. A 12 year old would be aware of what is going on. At some point if she goes outside she would be recognized. As for what I have read the only sight of M was getting off the bus. No more school, no more internet access, no more phone calls. That would be a lot to take away from a 12 year old. I'm not sure if they could bring charges against whom ever she is with. But also we don't know what she has been told. At some point she's gonna get tired of being hidden, and look for a way out.

Does anyone know if CP had a car? In a photo I seen a black car but can't find anything about it. I assume they both had car's , we know that DC's car was taken by LE but what about CP's?
He does have a vehicle, that he drove to MI in sometime back in November after the last time Madalina was seen on the school bus. I can only assume LE confiscated his vehicle as well as DC's.

I should correct my comment to say it's my own speculation he had his own vehicle.
Most notably because all the MSM refer to the car they did search, as DC's car.
According to warrants and news reports, only one vehicle was owned by CP and DC ...The Prius.. LE has never stated a second vehicle was owned by Chris Palmiter. Also nothing has been published in MSM about a vehicle owned by CP. I saw the video of the Prius being towed from the driveway by LE. Nothing else was towed. .

I will continue to believe there was only one vehicle in that family...the Prius...until I see facts stated by LE or MSM that CP also owned a second vehicle (If there is a link, I haven't found it) When CP took that trip to MI, I believe he drove the Prius and DC stayed home burning evidence.
MOO

Based on my original theory, I often thought CP rented a vehicle to drive to MI, Nov 23 - Nov 26. I continue think there is a possibility that Madalina's remains were disposed somewhere between NC and MI. Of course if CP did rent a vehicle, LE would have found records of this, but we don't know. All docs are sealed. Lots of theories, so few facts.

After you brought this issue up, I started looking around and was surprised to not find any mention of what Christopher Palmiter was driving at all, whether the 2008 Prius or another vehicle.

When Christopher Palmiter said he drove to Michigan and back right at the time Madalina Cojocari went missing, I'd think law enforcement would put the info. on what he was driving out in public right away, so the public could report it if they'd spotted the vehicle. That's what law enforcement did when Diana Cojocari was found to have been in the mountains of North Carolina in the 2008 Prius.

I don't think such a glaring omission could be an error on law enforcement's part, especially with three different agencies involved (Cornelius PD, SBI and FBI).

All I can figure is it means law enforcement already knows Christopher Palmiter's whereabouts during that time period. MOO
