GUILTY NC - Maggie Daniels, 31, murdered in her Newton apartment, 27 June 2014

I wonder if this is indeed the neighbor that her friend had cautioned her about in a twitter conversation-linked on page two or three of the thread. I know LE said that neighbor had moved and checked out but maybe they were just trying not to scare Odom off.

I am Twitter-illiterate. So I need to ask this of you guys - did she ever respond to his Tweets? Just wondering if there was interaction of any kind or whether she just totally ignored him?

Am imagining him building up some false relationship in his mind about he and Maggie - and it building and building until it all came to an horrendous head that day at her apartment. Pure speculation, of course.

Not that I can find yet. I noticed he was in NY mid June and then I noticed a tweet btwn him & a female calling him her "#1 guy since the beginning" etc (paraphrasing) but lead me to believe they were/are close. She tweeted a few days prior to the murder about planning something crazy she couldn't discuss then was strangely not on Twitter the day of or after the murder but is on several times a day. It could be nothing more than a coincidence but I'm browsing Twitter seeing what I can find. Poor Maggie.

Not too sure I believe the neighbor that says she saw Maggie give the suspect a ride a year ago and they went in her apartment together. I highly doubt it. Anyway LE says they did not know each other.

Chief Brown said “Nothing would indicate they had any relationship of any kind,” said Brown. LE again says this suspect was NOT the neighbor talked about in a text last year.

Then of course we have the family of Odem saying he is such a great guy..

His cousin Angela, said Sunday that Odom “is not the monster that they’re portraying him as” in the media. “I know he’s a decent person,” she said. “He’s a child. He’s a brother. He’s an uncle.”

Oh and let me finish up with what his cousin forgot to say after he's not a monster, he's a brother, he's an uncle...and he smirks when he is being taken into custody on charges of murdering a woman. See, do I need say more...he truly is a dear heart.

The only thing portraying him as a monster are his own evil actions.

I've been out of town and am just trying to catch up. So glad they made an arrest! I searched the NC criminal records and didn't see anything on this guy. Has anybody been able to find them. I did notice that the NC Court system has him listed as Sherman Odom for today's arraignment. The media is reporting his name as Sharman. That is concerning, because I have seen serious cases in NC where the charges were dismissed because the warrant had the wrong spelling of the name on it. (In one case it was a name ending with ie and the warrant spelled it with a y, like Billie vs Billy.)

Criminals misspell their names on purpose for just this reason.
