- what does McNeill say about who he handed off Shaniya to? What is that next person's role in the deal? Was it a pimp? Another go-between/middle man and Shaniya was being passed/sold further? Was it an individual pedophile?

- are there any other children on the radar of McNeill, his gf Autry, the mother, or the mother's sister who are not accounted for?

- have these people lived in other states? have any of them travelled regularly to other specific cities or states?

- who does McNeill hang around with? where does he spend his time?

- what exactly has the mother been doing the past 3 to 6 months? how has she spent her time? where has she been hanging out?


So many questions. I wish we had just a few more nuggets of information.

Is there any reward at all being offered for Shaniya's return? I haven't seen any.

I saw at one time a $1,000 reward offered.

I would love to know the answers to your questions as well.

Thank you, bessie. I would appreciate any links from anyone to information regarding trafficking for prostitution of young children in the U.S. I'm finding mostly information about other countries and older children.

I think someone else addressed this, but I'm sure there are varying levels of selling a child for sex: is it for personal use or commercial? if commercial, is it a small-score operation or large? The going rate is whatever someone is willing to accept. The people initially selling the child aren't the ones making the big bucks - it's the people buying the child that are.

After the way I feel about Shaniya right now, I don't believe I could take it if I read how widespread this is, especially if details are given about what happens to these children. Maybe later. For some reason this case has hit me like not other. It also is worse than the cases where a child has been found dead, or has been missing but no one knows where they are -- b/c we *know* the type of people who have Shaniya and the hell/torture she is going through and will yet still go through is no one finds this poor baby.

I will hug my children tighter every day. And say a prayer for Shaniya each time.

Thank you, Kimberly. I wonder if a larger reward for information leading to her recovery would help spur more tips.

I wish I knew if anyone (family) or any organization was working on this.

I'll concede (to be honest, there are a few thoughts I'd like to get off my chest). I also think we should lay off Coe. He's certainly not citizen of the year, but for all we know at the moment, he was an innocent dupe. I don't blame him for taking action to clear his name. No one should bear the stigma of being labeled a child kidnapper/molestor/predator unless it's true.

Here is a store about a federal prosecutor from Florida who tried to buy sex with a 5 year old girl. The details have made me even more sick to my stomach.

He committed suicide in jail after he was arrested.

OMG! I literally lost it after reading this. Forgive me for saying this, but I am so glad to hear he is dead! I can't imagine the devastation left behind by this .

I also have to say, as someone else did, I am ashamed that I did not know more about this going on right in our own backyards. Even though I had heard it goes on in the US, I suppose, it was much easier to think it really only happened far, far away, in other countries.

I am lose a little more faith in humanity with every case we hear about and the monsters that commit them.

Sad to say with the human trafficking angle, she will be now. :furious:

I wonder if they keep these kids alive?? And in the country???
 
If someone bought her for personal use (sorry that is a horrid word) I don't know how you motivate them to come forward? Offer immunity for testimony, save her life, maybe get a bigger , and hopefully get this on another charge?

If someone bought her for commercial use (sorry about that word again), they are money motivated and there needs to be a money incentive to bring her back. They obviously view these children as items that can be bought and sold, deal with them on their own level.

I really hope they find her and the press coverage of human trafficking doesn't get her killed. I do wonder if they should have sat on that info until they worked them over to find out what the next part of the transaction was.....

I don't think this is what happened to Haleigh.
Haleigh had family involvement and they would have found the money by now.
Lindsay Baum snatched of the street and never found, I do wonder if this is what happened to her.

thought on the 'witness': I think, after listening to last night's presser again, that it could have been the mother. LE did say that Coe was arrested after statements by the mother... just a thought.

now a question: what exact evidence would they have in this case in order to charge her with felony child abuse-prostitution?? It absolutely disgusts me to no end to even ponder it!!!!!

I am so angry this morning over this whole thing! They need to get Mark Klaas down there asap to help in this search... He and his foundation do so much in the human tfking area and he could be a huge help in this case...
 
I get the prostitution angle, but these kids either have to be very well hidden or hiding in plain sight like an orphanage, a home with foster kids...you know what I mean? A 5 year old is not out walking the street. So if she is still alive, and if this is some kind of organization, then she has to be somewhere it makes sense almost...the question is whether she is local or has been moved.

I have to think the more press she gets, the more danger she is in because of the recognition factor, so that is why I am hoping someone drops her off on a street corner or in a grocery store and RUNS in the other direction. PLEASE.

Actually, I saw her pic and story update on CNN News this morning, and then again on HLN a few minutes later.

They were talking about how this precious little girl's mother sold her for sex trafficking, and the news anchors seemed horrified.

This was at about 5 a.m., Pacific time.

If you come across any information regarding specifically trafficking for prostitution of young American children, such as Shaniya, in the U.S., I would appreciate any links, because although I'm very proficient at using Google and other search methods, this particular information is scant and difficult to find.

I'm very worried about this too, that she may be considered too 'hot' to risk having a sighting of her reported.
