I feel a bit unclean reading several recent posts about dad's decision to let Shaniya go stay at momsters house. This post is for those for those folks who feel like blaming dad.

Now take all that outrage and anger you feel at his stupid decision to let momster have a chance to do right. And while you are at it, take all the sick disgust and revulsion we all felt when we first heard that the momster may have traded her sexual favors away and just multiply all of that times ONE million. That is probably what that father feels right now.

I know you are frustrated and heartsick as are we all but please lets not lash out at a man none of us knows and who seems to have actually loved, raised and properly cared for Shaniya.

Whatever blame it is tempting to lay at his feet lets throw it all squarely where it belongs. A egg donor and her drug dealer and whoever else was involved in hurting this babygirl.

Fathers that single handedly step up to raise a child that they are under no obligation to take are uncommon.

I am going to hold onto my stone for awhile, rather than throwing it yet.

I will just add - it is usually in poor taste to belittle and judge those suffering from such a huge loss. Nothing that anyone says can make Shaniya's father feel any worse than he already does. I have to agree with everyone who has said he could have never anticipated the outcome. Never in a million years.

The could have, should have, and would have will resonate for an eternity for this father. I pray he and all of those who cherished Shaniya will find peace and strength from the love they shared.

Please, let's reserve judgment of the father. If he could have foreseen this as even a remote possibility, he wouldn't have allowed Shaniya in that home.

I don't blame him per se, and feel deep empathy but there is a responsibility when you are the guardian parent and have another family member drop your child off with a drug addict egg donor, her felon boyfriend, and the drug dealing owner of the sewage leaking home.

Tragedy does not equate to being free of responsibility.
If this was a mother who dropped her child off in similar circumstances she would be shredded. I think the father is being posted about in a very respectful manner. But being a sympathetic character does not absolve him from his role in this tragedy. moo

Ummmm, when is the sister going to be arrested. No way she didn't know. They just need to round all these monsters up. I just cannot believe that all these sick perverted people have all found each other in order to carry off this sick crime. None of them had a conscious? This is unbelieveable.

Oh yeah, to this woman that is Shaniya's mother..... I certainly hope you were in the rec room when the announcement came on that your baby was found!!!

Maybe just maybe she won't make it to her arraignment.

God, for those things I cannot understand, I ask you give me strength to bear. I am so sick today and I feel so utterly sad for all those who loved this little girl. May she rest in Jesus arms and never feel fear again. Lord, please deal with those who treated Your child so cruelly. seems bio dad has a history of making bad decisions-he hooked up w/ momster was his biggest ---there are no words-my anger is all consuming-RIP little angel.

If having a one night stand is all the ammo in the "bad dad" gun then that's just silly.

I am not even sure how he knows he is the father. If it was a one night stand with someone who gets around as much as momster seems to there is no way of knowing who her father was. Do we even know if blood tests confirm his paternity or was it just based on the momsters say so?? But for whatever reason this man stepped up and not only threw a child support check at the mother but did one better and took the child to raise and love. I cannot and will not find fault with this poor man. I can never blame his as much as he will spend the rest of his life blaming himself.

i didn't have access to the internet all weekend and come back to the mother being arrested for prostituting her child and now they have found her body...i think i'm going to be sick...this poor baby, i am so furious right now!!

(((((Linda))))) I know how you feel. Zinc wrote you a beautiful post. Here's something that helps me, fwiw - my father-in-law told me once that something good comes from all evil. Sometimes we don't see it, but it happens. The time line is not always as we would like, but it happens.

For the short-term, these POSs cannot hurt anymore children. For the long-term, maybe, just maybe an opportunity will come that will allow many more children to be saved. I don't know, I grasp at straws sometimes because I really, really need to believe that evil will not win in the long run. And I need to believe that the loss of these beautiful children is not in vain.
