I will continue to look for the VIDIO of NG interview.
Not a transcript by essence, but thanks.

I was referencing the NG transcript in that post, for which I included the link; not the Essence one. I should've clarified; since I had included 2 links (essence and NG) in that post...sorry!

eta: I just saw that suzi posted the associated interview video already...should've read the subsequent post before responding...thanks Suzi

So "AD and MAM killed this child." Hmm, interesting. AD did not put a hand on her daughter afaik, never suffocated, nor physically strangled the life from poor Shaniya either. No. She delivered her daughter into the hands of someone she did not know to be safe or trustworthy. And by extension this applies to Shaniya's father, and CDL. The point is not that they "did not know" Shaniya would be neglected (a concern which admittedly pre-existed), inadequately attended, abused or otherwise suffer in their absence w that druggy "mom" in that squalid trailer in that crime infested location. Rather, they had no earthly reason to believe--to be satisfied or to trust--she would not. NONE.

And not every single person who voices concern or has an unfavorable opinion of BL as a father "has an axe to grind." I don't pick posts apart which fairly and accurately represent the truth. It wasn't UP to "other people" (other relatives, ex girlfriends or w/e else BL pawned off Shaniya onto) to stay aware and informed of Shaniya's whereabouts, examine w/e environments into which her dad saw fit to place her, nor to run background checks on other occupants, eg, of another neglectful parent's dwelling; anymore than it was UP to others to raise BL's daughter. Those tasks rightfully remain the parent's responsibility.

:parrot:

Thank you Kiki for expressing the concise thoughts of many of us.

Thank you suzyq...:) this is a short not an entire clip. I am not a good searcher. I may quite by tonight.
I have been at it a while.
I watched NG for that interview interested me very much and I did listen to every word.
Shaniya's brother spoke longer before his dad came on, in this clip his dad comes in within a minute.
This is not a quote, it is the essence of what her brother said.
she would go to women easily and had to get warmed up to men or would
not just go to them easily.

He also spoke of picking shanaiya up at ADs, and had seen Mario, Never thought he could do that,
He did not say Mr. McNeil....and he did know he was a felon and a felon did deserve a second chance.
this Mario guy IMHO was a bit too familiar to him.....There is a lot that Daddy came to preserve.....
He was not supposed to be at that interview at all.

I am still looking. :D

All is obviously just my opinion and so far I find no sensible reason to change it.
GOT IT
He said "She would not go to any stranger no male at all"
"She would take every female and try to do make up with them she was always laughing"

From the Nancy Grace show. I believe CNN/Nancy Grace has the archived transcripts.

BYRON COLEMAN: My father recently gave her -- Antoinette a chance to -- give the mother a second chance to raise her daughter. I mean, because everybody deserves a second chance, just like a convicted felon, I mean, he deserves a second chance because he could have changed. You never know.

None of this (your post) is on the video interview.

But I am going to drop it because It is clear to me that BL does not want us to know the truth.
I am not here to argue, I do not buy the brother and sister team.
I continue to thank God his other children are not with him.
But Shanaiya did not stand a chance she had nobody - not really. :(

BBM, I have come to this same conclusion, and it breaks my heart.

From Logical Minds (snipped)
I don't ever want to see them have a "foundation"...or "write a book"...or give "speeches against child trafficing"....the hypocrisy would gag me and I would be the first to protest.

I do not put Aunt Carey on the same continent as BL. Who did her hair, bought, and dressed so adorably? That would be her. There are countless reasons why she may have left her with AD against her better judgment, heart, etc.

This post is about BRAD LOCKHART. To think that he would actually contemplate that he is in a position to speak on the topic of Child Abuse/Child Trafficking? The only thing he would be qualified for on these topics would be a "how to enable" speech.

The facts are he has/had FIVE children with 3 different caretakers. Why does he not "take care" of any of his own children himself? They could have all stayed with him with a live-in nanny when he is working and I should think it would be a) better for the children, and b) less expensive than paying child support. Or that may likely be the precise reason--it cost him less.

Next issue BL needs to take seriously is birth control. Condoms (you know the things that make babies not happen?), or just going to the doctor and getting snipped. If he still does have a gf, this should be a huge priority. When you are not the caretaker of any of your own children, I'd think he has more than enough. I won't go into the rest of what I think of him, will just limit to these 2 topics.

Other than I go somewhere between wanting to laugh, and getting ill when he goes all Al Sharpton.

And my father recently gave her -- Antoinette a chance to -- give the mother a second chance to raise her daughter. I mean, because everybody deserves a second chance. Just like a convicted felon, I mean, he deserves a second chance because he could have changed. You never know.

GRACE: Did anybody in your side of the family know that drugs were being sold out of that home?

COLEMAN: No, not that I`m aware of.

GRACE: That was my understanding. That nobody on the dad`s side knew that that was going on in the home.

COLEMAN: No, we didn`t have no clue at all, because if we did, we would never let Shaniya go to that type of environment.

GRACE: Absolutely not. From my understanding, your father took excellent care of the little girl.

COLEMAN: She did. And I mean, you can see from when Mario was carrying her how Shaniya`s hair was. In the car when Shaniya had her hair slicked back to her birthday parties to her Halloween costume, you can -- Shaniya was well kept with my father. He took very good care of her.

I remember when after this interview was first aired... I was taken aback as well as others the way Mario just rolled off this young mans tongue... sounded way too familar with his name. As we stated then .. think about it if this was a stranger or even someone you had only seen once or twice his name would not easly roll .. it would be more like that 'animal or monster or pervert..." not address him by his first name.

that is why I believe he was familar with MAM The FELON..............JMO

Found it...I think:waitasec: I didn't watch them...I couldn't stomach the surveillance video of this beautiful child in this monster's arms...but wanted to link them for everyone that has been looking for them.

In PattyG's youtube account. There are a total of 6 videos and I am posting them in chronological order below:

Byron's 17 year old sister had said (I believe her, Not quote)....Dads girl friend and shniya's aunt took care of Shaniya Dad loved her but had nothing to do with taking care of her/us"
I think when Byron said "SHE DID" he meant one of the females who always took care of Shaniya not Dad.

Byron also sounded well rehearsed to me. Unlike his Daughter who was not rehearsed at all.
W want to thank everybody....DAD GAVE HIM THAT FILLER as a way not to talk about anything.....
Dad was not happy that interview was going on in the first place. Dad hated that his kids got interviewed.

NANCY was sucking up to BL so much I almost puked.

You are awesome, I will go through these after I get some sleep. Thank you.
I wonder if the entire NG interview with his children will be on here.

OK
Not an entire interview with Byron - just a snip of it.

I too noticed it, but can not find a full interview.
I just wonder why?

I too noticed it, but can not find a full interview. I just wonder why?
But I am also giving up on finding it. I know what I heard and what I sense... The 2 worst suspects are in jail.
I am still not giving her father and aunt a pass, shaniya should have had better care. :(

Well, me neither. I also blame the few that could have prevented it.

LCoastMom:

Since you quoted me, I will answer you directly.

You make some great points.

But, IMO several of the things you listed came from other parties that may or may not have an "axe to grind" with BL. There was a long ugly custody battle that ensued after the death of his wife.

Cheyanne was interviewed a few times and changed her story several times, depending on who was sitting by her at the time. Her dad was the best dad in the world in one interview, less than 24 hours later, that changed. When she was sitting with her dad's "friend".

We don't know the details of any custody situation with Shaniya.

IMO she went for one weekend (she had done this before as I recall). After that weekend, AD would not give her back.
Now, If Aunt C did not have legal rights, what what she to do?
BL was out of town, I'm not sure he had any legal rights either. What was he to do?
IMO they were gonna handle it when he got back. I don't think they thought she was in danger.

I know that several have commented they should have been on the phone with LE but LE would not do anything if the bio mom had her and would not give her back. If there was no formal custody ruling. IMO

I know this post will be picked apart and I will be told how wrong I am. That is fine.

But, IMO BL made mistakes that I know he regrets. He will live with that the rest of his life. I don't think he would have ever imagined the monster would have done this to Shaniya. Who could have ever thought that?
Aunt C will regret her actions the rest of her life as well.

But, AD and MAM killed this child. They are in jail for it.

If info comes out that BL knew more about the situation, I will jump on ship and blame him for this, but right now, I don't see it.

I think there are a lot of circumstances in this case that we do not know yet. They will come out. Then we can look at it.
Since I don't know any FACTS that point to BL for me, I can't judge him for the death of this child.

It's my opinion.

BBM

It's your opinion and with all my heart I don't begrudge you or anyone, the right to feel the way you do or the right to yell it from the roof tops, if that is what you want to do. I think it shows that you are a very caring person that you have the ability to look past his "mistake" and have sympathy for him, that I don't have. I kicked myself several times early on for feeling such disgust for the man. For what I still feel to be negligence on his part. I believe our children are entrusted to us and although we all make mistakes, to make one that leads to a child being murdered, is just more than I can find the ability to forgive at this point.

If it comes out that he truly knew nothing of AD, those she associated with and the reports of drug use and prostitution, I will feel less harshly towards him. If she was able to fool BL into thinking her only fault was lack of money to raise a second child. Well, shame on him for not looking more closely, but that is not the same IMO as handing a child over to one you know associates with drug users and prostitution but I don't believe it is going to be the case.

I don't want to sound like I'm saying I know the laws in North Carolina, but if BL had primary or physical custody of Shaniya, on the books or not. When AD told Carey she would never see Shaniya again, if Carey had the ability to be BL's mouth piece in his absence and Carey suspected there were drugs or any other illegal activity in the trailer, why would the police not have acted on the mother refusing to return Shaniya to her primary guardian? Especially if they found Shaniya had been pulled out of her school and not enrolled elsewhere? and why did Carey need for BL to return home before telling him? Makes no sense...

The situation of T Allen offering to take Shaniya, BL agreeing and going back to AD, I don't believe was some big drawn out process. He agreed on the 1st, then said "No." on the 2nd, then left for Oregon or Washington state (can't remember which) on 10/3.

I originally believed as you, possibly these people speaking out was all just sour grapes, with the friend and ex F-I-L; a few nights ago I played a Levi Page radio blog - Blog Radio Levi Page 11/23/09 - he had Michelle Sigona on as a guest, I thought he described her to be an investigator but it seems she is more of a reporter, although very well connected and seeming to be held in very high regard.

According to Sigona the custody with the gp's was settled back in 1998 and was granted to the grandparents because of BL traveling for weeks on end - I will grant you, child support does seem to be a problem for BL as the gp's took him to court again in 2007 for issues with money. Hopefully there are no hard feelings, that would be worse still for the kids.

Also according to Sigona, Cheyenne is living with Allen and fam because she wants to go to the school in the district where he lives, so it really didn't sound like too much drama was involved in the decision. I realize this could just be speculation on the part of Sigona, but she said it in such a way it sounded like she knew what she was talking about. It does make sense, since Cheyenne apparently is one of the kids from BL's marriage and the Coleman's have had custody of her for years.

I don't know if the comment about Cheyenne living with Allen because BL "kicked her out" - "refused to care for her" was a quote from Allen - Cheyenne or just a reporter taking a guess. I've read it several times, but never heard it for myself from the parties involved. And since he lost custody in '98 and is out of the state so much; saying "He refused to care for or Kicked her out" Is not really accurate.

Cheyenne does talk in circles and she sounds younger than her 17 years. But I heard twice, directly from Cheyenne's mouth that BL was aware what was what with AD and that he knew AD could not care for Shaniya.

Two other things that bothered me was (1) the changing dates of when Aunt Carey last saw Shaniya. Wasn't it said that she saw her on Oct 31? She said she and AD shared custody after BL left on 10/3, Shaniya leaving a week later (I think the date I heard was 10/9), later Carey said she last saw Shaniya 4 weeks ago on a Friday (said on 11/16ish in a morning talk show interview) which make the 10/9 date just about right. Halloween '09 being on a Saturday, blows the 10/31 date away.

(2) Is the 3rd child still living with the Coleman's or is this the child referred to as living with another woman (BL baby mama) in Florida? If he is still living with the Coleman's, was this the child who said he knew AD and knew about her friends? But was un-named in the interview, or was wrongly called Byron C? Or did Byron C first speak out against his father, but later went on NG singing his BL "I don't know nuth'in" praises?" I can't find the original interview, but I don't remember the person interviewed with the Coleman's being named, just called BL's son.

If this was Byron II, it makes the case against BL look worse, why do his kids keep changing their story, trying to keep him in a good light? If he was truly innocent of having any knowledge of AD, her life style and friends the truth would /should speak for itself.

The original interviews BL said he wanted AD to be a mother to Shaniya, he said he wanted her to learn how to be a mother to Shaniya: He let her live with her mother, Antoinette Davis, about three weeks ago because she had found a place to live and had held a job for six months, he said (all untrue).

"I just wanted her to be a mother," he said. "She was never part of her life." But what did Shaniya want? Was she asked if she wanted to leave the people she knows and loves, her little girl room, her pretty clothes, toys and bed? her kindergarden class? To live in a 12 foot by 40 foot trailer, with mucked up plumbing, she would share with 5 or 6 other people? no place to put her toys, or clothes, to sleep on a couch in the front room? I am streaming tears as I write this - what loving parent would take their princess to live in such a sty?

Shaniya's father, Bradley Lockhart, told The Associated Press (11/15) he raised his daughter for several years but last month decided to let her stay with her mother. He said Davis struggled financially over the years, but she recently obtained a job and her own place, so Lockhart decided to give her a chance to raise their daughter.

This was what originally tripped my hinkie meter. Why did he send her to AD? Was he tired of paying support to a mother who didn't have custody?

11/16 On the CBS Early Show, was the first time BL said; "She had asked if she could be a mother, and I felt she was sincere in asking, and I figured to give her a chance." This was the quote that continues to follow BL. Making it sound like AD's idea, while the whole first week Shaniya was missing we hear nothing to support AD even asking to see her daughter.

BTW; BL calling AD a "one night stand", IMHO did nothing for his credibility or his image. AD would have been a 19 year old kid, who already had an 18 month old - to 2 year old baby at the time they had their "one night" together. If he thinks he appears more upstanding by putting a distance between himself and AD, it's wasted on me. Poor little angel, what a jerk. Is this what she was brought up hearing 'It was a one night stand?" She may have been too young to understand at five, but had she been found alive, that comment would have followed her.

The following was an anonymous post left in a local news site the day Shaniya went missing. A short time later the 3 offenders in the park were added to the article. It is horrible how many locals tagged this for what it was, starting the very first day, as being family related and Shaniya gone for good.:

Why was there no mention of the number of sex offenders in this crime ridden trailer park right off of Murchison Road? People can't even stop at a stop light without getting carjacked within walking distance of this area. (Maybe a bulldozer would do the trick?) This is a BAD area, I hope the best for her safe return.

Does anyone have any idea what this is/was or what the letters in the case number stand for?
or which Byron it is?

#98CVD1950 - REC'D 12/11/09 - PLAINTIFF BYRON COLEMAN - DEFENDANT BRADLEY LOCKHART

Fantastic post LCoastMom....we think alike on THIS case LOL

I am glad you posted that bit from one of the LOCALS regarding the area where Shaynia was "dropped"...

I have been saying from the start that was something that really stuck in my head...every town has it's "bad" area/s....everyone KNOWS those areas....and everyone in that town of Fayetteville agreed that area and that particular Trailer Park was just about the worst around

I get very upset when I think of what those weeks must have been like for little Shaynia...the Halloween before she was dressed as a beatiful Fairy Princess...
just a few weeks before she was beaming with pride, wearning her packback for her first day of school

No reporter has asked them the obvious...what about her schooling??

I totally agree...someone could have done something....CLD could have called in the cops, gotten them in there. I would not leave a pet in that area, I would not leave a pet at a pet hotel without checking it out

I wonder why these videos are off the net? Usually an attorney or one working for him goes in to do a big clean up on the Internet - so that it does not effect public opinion, a persons reputation, or the direction of the case. Why is someone cleaning up everything relating to the Lockharts? :waitasec:
I have my hinky meter up here too....

This is a thought out of left field....Brad has been working in the oil field right after he came back from Iraq...Before the Sahniya case even has everyone charged..... Brad is working with the group against human trafficking - too soon - Hinky meter is up again.

I think he is got hooked up somehow (oil) when he was in Iraq. I think he is being looked out for somehow.
The Internet should not have been this clean this soon. We cant even say THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE MAN SAID.

I felt sorry for him too the first few weeks but the more
I added up the information, the inconsistencies, the brother and sister dynamics, his kids stories, (which also changed) the more I wanted to smack him.
