Silver Alert for a missing endangered woman, Susan Dial McGirt. Dementia/Cognitive impaired. Missing from Covenant Care center 600 Mount Moriah Church Road, Lumberton, NC 28360. Last seen heading in the direction of Rt 95.

Deputies spent much of the day searching by foot and using a helicopter to circle around the Mount Moriah community and along Highway 711. Some people reported seeing McGirt walking along Highway 711 near Deep Branch Road near Pembroke.

Daughter talks about the mystery behind mom's death in Lumberton

In an exclusive interview, CBS 17 talked with McGirt's daughter, Mary Wesson, who is trying to cope with the reality that her mother is gone.

"All we got is bones," Wesson said. "We can't even see her face no more."

For eight months, Wesson wondered what happened.

"It's an agonizing pain that nobody should ever have to go through," Wesson said. "It's pure hell."
