Team Adam helps search for Zahra Baker

CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. – A specialized team of experts has joined the search for Zahra Baker.

The 10-year-old cancer survivor was reported missing from Hickory on Oct. 9.

Right now search crews, including experts from Team Adam, are searching a landfill in Caldwell County for new clues into her disappearance. Police say they are not searching for Zahra’s body, but instead for evidence.

Team Adam is named for the murdered son of John Walsh, the host of America’s Most Wanted. The group is comprised of retired law-enforcement officials with years of experience.

Team Adam has assisted in more than 300 cases involving missing children in 43 states

It may be nothing, but I keep thinking the comforter and pillows found in the vehicle are tied in here somewhere, also. Maybe they were hit on for decomp during the initial search?

Also, I remember seeing a girl about Zahra's age in EB's myspace photos, but I don't recall who she was. Perhaps this was someone who stayed overnights, therefore they got the replacement bed for that purpose? NOT sleuthing this child, just questioning the possibility.

I find this very interesting.

It could be connected, it might not be connected and either/any item might not be of forensic value related to Zahra. (disclaimer).

We have a mattress and box spring and rails taken from the home.

We see pictures of LE looking at mattresses (report of 2 different ones) at the dump/landfill.

On the search warrant we find that there are 2 pillows, 1 sheet, 1 comforter. (page 6) ETA: in a vehicle

Arguably, we don't know if any/all of those items are connected to Zahra in any way or if they are connected and not of evidentiary value to what crime that happened to Zahra.

We can explain each away innocently. But taken in context of a homicide investigation for Zahra, I can't dismiss those items quickly and easily.

I'll have to keep them in the back of my mind until we get actual reports from LE's mouth or it is quoted as a statement from LE in MSM or AB comes out and makes a comment one way or another about them (or another family member).

And even then, they could be ruled out by LE in the future as not being part of the crime scene or not of evidentiary value. Just my humble opinion.

Note: I haven't read up to the last page so I'm sure my post will probably be redundant. LOL

Just a thought, but could the $10000 have been a payment for little Zahra. Could she now be in London? Maybe the guy threatened EB with her life or she is too frightened to admit she sold Zahra for drug money.

Im just logging on, and saw that too. Ive looked back to page one on this thread, and all I see is people here speculating about hairs found on the mattress and whether or not they contained deathbands. I dont think the media has mentioned that at all yet.

My heart aches for Zahra - where are you child? Landfill and searching for mattresses, vile, evil SM in jail with high bond. AB still wandering around.

LE and all searchers looking for a piece of evidence in that landfill have my utmost respect. Let there be justice for Zahra and let it be swift and severe. Please find whatever it is you need in that landfill and may Zahra be found.

Lonetraveler- no new from the landfill yet. No death bands on hair in this case yet...no prothetic leg found at this time.

There are pictures of them checking a couple of mattresses at the landfill and that's it so far.

It's a comforting thought that she could be alive and found...but I doubt it. I don't think LE would be investing so many hours in the search IF that was the case!

No Daisy7 no death hair reported. I think someone speculated that maybe there was hair with death bands found thus looking for a mattress.

I believe the $10,000 was paid over the course of a year...don't know if that matters, but regarding EB being frightened of anyone, that just doesn't seem very likely to me anyway.
