Welcome Jersey shore girl we are so glad you joined us. :balloons:

I look forward to reading your input.

Not directed at JSG.

If we are discussing the possiblity of hair from the hole in the ground. How long was Zahra's hair? If that was hair that connected what ever that was that was collected. Looks to me like it was a lot longer than Zahra's hair IIRC.

Have we seen a MSM report or heard LE say that the leg was "tossed" or "chucked" out the window from a moving vehicle on a street? TIA.

Did I hear LE say today "in" brush?

If it was "in" brush that indicates to me that at least small effort was made to obscure it KWIM?

Off to look at S.homey's pics from tonight. I'll be a while I"m sure :)

All JMHO.

I'm so far behind, but it looked like hair from a drain pipe. Hope it isn't. Apoligies if this has been said before. Oh and I saw gloves on the guy picking it up.

I think this is my favorite photo of Z.
:) Her smile is contagious. I wish we had hundreds more of her.

For you locals, did the Tornado Warnings stop? Please stay safe out there. I know last night was rough for you, I hope tonight has been better. And no evidence has been lost too.

:praying:

MUCH calmer tonight. I didn't sleep a wink last night.....so worried about twisters!! I am terrified of tornadoes. One of the few things that truly frighten me!! It's 3:30 am and I am gonna crash!! I have been more of a night owl than usual lately and it's gonna catch up with me at some point lol.

Thankfully my little one isn't a morning person. We don't get up till 9:30ish for oatmeal and then Sesame Street @ 10 am :)

See you guys in the morning!!

Oh yes me 2. I think we should all do a world wide balloon release and post the photos to honor her. Or plant a plant but something!

I love the Plant idea. Something that will continue to grow and stay with us. That is a beautiful idea.

Hasn't she been in the States for 2 yrs now? I would think with the way children grow she would of needed a new one by now. Maybe I don't know how they work but certainly it doesn't grow with her....Anyone?
Yes we spoke about this in another leg. My son has CP and although he has both legs he has braces ( and we seen children in there every 6 months that had same type of leg as Zahra) getting fitted again etc. Making sure it was still a good fit. We went every 6 months and he was a small lil man but still grew even a few inches etc mattered to make his braces work correctly.

I got this from an article

"Though there’s not a lot of detailed literature on the exact frequency of replac*ing limbs, a study by Dr. Claude Lambert at the University of Illinois found that children, on average, require a new lower-limb prosthesis annually up to the age of 5, every two years from ages 5 to 12, then every 3 to 4 years to the age of 21."

So even if she left Australia with basically a newly fitted leg, she was due to be fitted with a new one.

Correct but would need to see a Dr to make sure it was still a good fit . Children grow sometimes slow and then sometimes fast a Dr appointment would still be needed to make sure everything is ok. RE: they would not say ok everythings good come back in two years. etc.

I should say that would be standard procedure investigating a possible murder gah..Washers, drain pipes, etc....sad

You are correct of course .Sadly, I suspect that Zahra did not see a doctor at all since arriving in the USA.
May be it had to do with the type of paperwork Zahra and her father had, while staying in the USA(outdated visa) and they wanted to stay under the radar. Although writing bad checks surely contradict that.

I started a thread for us in the Jury Room (guests feel free to register and visit as it's a members only area if you wish to do so)

We can share our feelings for Zahra.

Post flowers for her as a virtual memorial

Songs...

Whatever you wish you could say~ please pass on the link if you wish, but no bashing of those that murdered her, it's her thread---for her only. :)

The girl's name Zahra -------- is of Arabic origin, and the meaning of Zahra is "white; flower".

...i like the idea to plant white flowers of any sort, and lots of them.

Gotta log off and get some sleep, but I just want to say that I do think the items in the pic is what LE uses at a crime scene. If you look closely, you can see the manuals he uses. Those are alo manila envelopes on top. That is a not a childs shoe, IMO. Look at it's size in comparison to LE's hand. No way would a crime scene technician ever just throw evidence in plastic containers altogether like that. Each piece of evidence will be bagged and numbered seperately, otherwise you will get cross contamination and the evidence will be of no use.

Just all JMO. *Hoping for news tomorrow!

Zahra's 11th BDay is coming up November 16th.

Yes it was BS. I thought I posted this but things were happening so fast and I was trying to keep you guys updated in as 'real time' as possible!! :blushing:

This is something that has eaten at me. The thought that her prosthetic leg had NOT been sized or upgraded and the pain that a too small prosthetic would have caused is unbearable for me to think about. Her inability to be truly mobile. Maybe the time spent in her room was because it was too painful to use her prosthetic to get around. I imagine over the 2 years she has been in the US she has grown a lot. I don't remember how long she had it before she moved.....don't even like to think about that to be honest!!

BBM thank you! I may have missed it (although you kept me scanning the last thread for pages and pages waiting to read what your DH had been told! LOL!!)

I'm over 2 threads behind?

Scanning though it seems forensics was at the house all night and AB has been bailed out? :furious:

For those interested 'biomum' has made further statements at Hinky including divulging the reasons she was not an active part of Zahra's life, FWIW:

To our locals: You are absolutely invaluable to all of us so many miles away. You all have my sincere gratitude!

Also I found it very disturbing that LE had to contact Australia to get Zara's medical records. If Zahra would have seen a doctor in the USA regularly, that doctor , in light of Zahra's medical history, surely would have requested her records from Australia. It is not like Australia is some third world country.
Therefor , I suspect , that except for the hearing aid, Zahra did not receive any medical check ups in the USA. How could her dad be so negligent.

Hello everyone I just wanted to post to introduce myself, I have been reading and lurking on here for days now trying to get as much information as I could about this tragic case and I read earlier someone inviting guests to sign up and join in the conversation, so here I am.

I'm not sure how much I can add to everything but ever since I read of Zahra's disappearance it has been eating me alive, I am so sad and angry for her. I live in an area in Australia where the Baker's once lived, so it has hit very close to home for me. I would also like to add my thanks for the invaluable information that was passed on today (my time) by the locals who were at the scene, it was very much appreciated by someone so far away.

Hi, Jacaranda... glad you joined us.

Welcome Jacaranda.
I was just thinking about Zahra's Australian doctors, nurses etc. They must be heartbroken and angry too. Zahra was the type of patient, you would not easily forget. That brave little girl must have had many friends in the medical profession too..

Hi and thanks for the welcome. I agree rotterdam, it must be terrible for the medical staff who have treated Zahra over the years, I have a friend whose child had cancer and she told me how you build up a very close rapport with the medical staff as they do with their little patients. I did read an article from Camp Quality saying that they were aware of Zahra's disappearance and how much it has upset them. With her beautiful smile it would be hard to forget her.
