Silver Alert issued for missing Arthur woman

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says they received a request for the public’s help in finding 48-year-old Leita M. Golden.

Deputies were called to Arthur, ND around 10:00pm Friday night, after receiving a report that Leita Golden was missing. It was reported to deputies that she was last seen around 12:45 p.m. on July 5th, walking away from the Good Sam Center.

Leita Golden is 48-years-old, 5′tall, 105 pounds with brown eyes and hair. Deputies say she may be carrying a camouflage color backpack.

My first thought was why would someone in their 40's be living in a retirement home? Physical/mental challenges that precluded living on her own? I found a court docket for a case for guardianship of an incapacitated person (namely Leita). Case 29-2021-PR-00042 In The Matter Of The Guardianship Of Leita Golden - Trellis: Legal Intelligence + Judicial Analytics Hence the silver alert. I hope she is found soon!

Leita was last seen on July 5th, around 12:45 p.m., walking southbound away from the Good Sam Center. Authorities searched extensively in and around the Arthur area, with the assistance of the North Dakota Highway Patrol and the West Fargo Police Department and were unsuccessful at locating GOLDEN.
