still a lot of investigating to do
thoughts and prayers to the family
their hearts are heavy as the mourn the loss of the young lady
we will continue to pursue justice for savannah
She was a victim of a cruel crime
 
Had no idea farmstead was place of interest ---searchers found it
 
Won't say what items of interest in the farmstead are
 
Very limited what I can answer but will answer some questions
what brought us to the farmstead?
searched for citizens and police did not know it could be a crime scene until they went to search themselves
was the farm occupied?
no it was abandoned?
what was the suspicious items?
I am not getting into that
The kayakers involvement?
recreationally not searching

area of scene is savannah's death?
I cannot say, they are trying to determine that
was it a natural birth or fetal abduction?

is this a federal investigation?
whether it goes into federal court, depends on u.s. attorney several factors come in that
 
is there a crime scene in two states?
what jurisdiction will it be?

The think it will be in Cass County at this point but my access it going forward

What will make it a federal case?
Clarify what can cause federal jurisdiction, its premature to get into that right now. I do not wish to speculate
Close contact with federal authorities and thoughts on federal issues, I am not a expert and he is. They communicated on the matter this morning as well as the past few days
We believe its appropriate to move forward in Cass County in District Court, if any information comes then we will discuss then but we believe its appropriate now
 
Poor Savanna :( She must have been terrified.

How will her family and boyfriend even recover from this tragedy?

I do not have any knowledge
Outstanding bench warrant, was that apart of the investigation?
William was arrested on outstanding warrant on Tuesday night and they were aware of that
Was there 3 searches at their apartment?
Yes, twice on Saturday and once on Sunday
Any sign of Savannah or the child then?
No sign of them then

No
Were they cooperative?
Yes they were
Cooperative since they have been in custody?

Yes, appear but I am not positive on tv interactive video, first appearance

Just a minor correction - autopsy is in Minnesota, not North Dakota.

More than one jurisdiction that we are grateful for
There are certain things found at the farmstead that were suspicious
 
Savannah found from recreational kayakers, her body found in plastic and duct tape
She was sent to Ramsey for an autopsy, still awaiting results
Court at 2pm in District Court in Fargo, Cass County
Conspiracy to Commit Murder max life in prison
Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping 20 years in prison
False lying to investigators 365 days

Nothing new really, still processing scene at farmstead. Suspects to be charged 2pm 3 charges (conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to kidnap, false information). Savanna found heavily wrapped in plastic and duct tape :(
