Article from August 14, 2013:
One of Hopkins' accomplices in the leather shop burglary, 22-year-old Joshua K. Sain of 412 E. Fifth Street, failed to appear to face probation violation accusations filed against him. Sain's absence prompted the court to issue a bench warrant for his arrest.

According to court documents, Sain is accused of failing to report to his probation officer in July and testing positive for marijuana and methamphetamine in June. Sain was convicted of Class III felony burglary in June and sentenced to 30 months probation, stemming from his role in the leather shop burglary.

I hope this little one is okay. I always worry about these bio parents doing something to the child to "hurt" the other parent.

I made the mistake of reading some comments on a local news site and some people are so dumb. "A guy took his own child, how is this news?" sort of stuff. Ugh. Clueless people.

Mother speaks by phone to missing 18-month-old, father

The mother of Parker James Sain was able to speak by phone with the missing 18-month-old and the child’s biological father Wednesday afternoon.

The little boy and his father, Joshua, still have not been located, but Grand Island police believe they are in the general area of McCook.

What’s most important “is we still have not had face-to-face contact with them. So we’re still looking to check on the child’s welfare,” said Capt. Jim Duering of the Grand Island Police Department.
