There are cases on Websleuths of people who leave home upset and are found later, unfortunately having taken their own lives in various ways. If there was a bridge? People do jump or accidentally slip in near the edge. It sounds to me like he was an emotional person and very upset that night, so in my opinion, something like that may have happened, though it's hard to think about.
I completely agree that when someone is emotional, their actions aren’t necessarily rational.

It could also be that he ran away to try and get a grip on his feelings and in that time frame, engaged in dangerous activity that caused his demise.

I'm still puzzled over the fact that LE and the 911 recording revealed there was no problem or crime when his partner called 911. Why would you call 911 if there was no evidence of a disturbance or disagreement?

I wonder if LE checked phone records for everyone in the house?
Not true, that has been revealed.

Earlier that week, Vogel had told Tyler he wanted to end their six-year marriage. On that Friday night, as they were discussing divorce, the situation turned physical, according to Vogel. “Tyler pushed me... in the face and the chest. And it didn’t hurt, but it still happened," Vogel told Dateline. "And so, I called 911.”

Vogel was on the phone with the dispatcher at 7:40 p.m. when Tyler left on foot. Investigators believe he had his wallet and phone with him. He never returned.

LE was quoted as saying there were no sounds of violence when the partner called 911. No raised voices. There’s no mention of it in the quote in your post. The partner called 911 and Tyler left. Tyler’s roommate reported the shoving match to police, but LE didn’t witness that, not on the phone with 911 or when they later visited the home.

I was wondering if it was possible that Tyler was hit and killed by a motorist after he ran away from the house. I’m sure it’s been suggested here before. The driver panicked, covered up the body, then had the car crushed. A total stranger who would now be very difficult to track. JMO only.

When I call 911 because my neighbors are fighting, it's because something JUST happened.
The action has usually stopped by the time I'm connected with the operator and start speaking. I can still explain what I just witnessed even though the action has concluded.

IMO Tyler and his husband were arguing, and Tyler pushed his husband. The husband immediately grabbed the phone and called 911, to document what was happening/just happened. He's probably holding the phone out to show Tyler that 911 is listening while talking calmly to the operator. I believe Tyler was frozen and silent because he didn't think his husband would actually call the authorities on him. So he clammed up and bolted.

IMO it wasn't necessary to hear sounds of violence during the call to 911 to believe violence had just happened.

The police said they weren't arguing, either.

i think the easy answer is to blame the husband because in most of these situations... it's more accurate than not. I assume Tyler's children were likely witnesses to this ordeal. Even if Tyler + husband dismissed their sons to their room so as not to be caught in the crosshairs of severe marital strife, the timeline is so incredibly tight that certainly they'd see the fallout of a possible murder...?

This time, I'm going with Tyler's close friends and family, who believe there was some sort of foul play or that the story is inaccurate.

Does anyone know if there was an insurance policy involved?

I’ve just google mapped the location where he was last seen on W Burnham St in Lincoln, NE, and I’m actually surprised at how rural it is there. I was expecting a small city, definitely a more urban landscape, but it’s really rural, with wide open spaces between properties set down long driveways.

It’s made me think about that call to LE about a ‘disturbance’. Who made that call? Someone in the home seems most logical. But if was a neighbour, would have been quite loud to be heard so far away.
This location isn’t necessarily as rural as it seems. From those of us who live in Lincoln NE, Tyler’s residence would be considered to be on the south side of town. Lincoln has several areas that have homes built on small acreages but are still within the city limits.
His house is a 2 minute drive from where he worked.

Thanks, its nice to hear from someone local. Is there any news?

No news and we are quickly approaching the one year anniversary of when he went missing. The Good Life Halfsy is this weekend, its the race Tyler was supposed to run in a couple days after he went missing.

I believe the PI is doing a search on November 17, its a vehicle only search because deer rifle season starts that weekend.

Yes, be safe during deer season. I hope you find out what happened to Tyler. Best wishes to everyone.

I would have gone to my workplace, if I had been him. But where is he, if he went there?
