This just isn't adding up for me. Misty didn't know the family that long, she was out doing drugs, and running around on him that weekend. What MIL protects a girl like that? What man marries that? No, there is more here. TN is protecting her for another reason, I just haven't figured it out yet.

Okay Ron is cleared, so what ever happened he didn't do it directly, but he could be the cause of her kidnapping indirectly. Lonetraveler has a theory that it was over Ron taking a Drug Dealers money or drugs. Misty was not home, and the DD came in and took his property, ie; drugs or money, and Haleigh to show he means business..... it is on the rumor thread. That would make Ron and Misty point fingers at each other, no one could go to the cops, fear of them killing them all, Ron going to jail, Jr taken away from TN and family. So they band together to keep the secret and plead for them to return Haleigh. This would make TN protect Misty too, to keep her mouth shut.... if she told her brother, that would explain the headless rat. A warning to him, that he could be next if he talks. But would Haleigh still be alive in this situation? She could be, they found the other kid, (don't remember his name) wonder the streets in Mexico IIRC, his head was shaved and that is all we heard.

But calling in TM and MN would make sense, it would be protection for the family as LE and everyone keeps there eyes on them. They can get them to search to see if she was killed, if they don't find a body, there is a chance they just gave her away or are hiding her until Ron comes up with the money he owes or their demands.

During one of the video's over the weekend with RC/MC standing with Tim and Lisa warmed my heart....these 2 people do every thing from the heart...if they felt for one moment they were being used to PROTECT adults in anyway...they would not even be on the scene again. I think TM can read between the lines....and he understands the pain this family is going through.. HALEIGH IS THE FOCUS.

You are misunderstanding what I am saying. If they (the Cummings) think that she could be dead, or don't know if they killed her, they would want someone to look, correct? It would also keep the family in the public eye and that would minimize any retaliation to Ron and his family. I don't think that they would openly say that to TM and MN. I am saying it would be a benefit to have keep eyes on the family. They don't know if she is dead or alive, buy if they find her body, well now they know, if not, you have to assume she is alive and maybe out of State....

More specifically the words remains and funeral, do not lead me to believe Haleigh is still alive out there. I am so sorry to say that but I just don't. I understand Tim looks for live missing children but saying that he is looking and then using those words just don't give me a warm fuzzy feeling. Do I believe that Haleigh might be alive, no. Do I understand holding out hope until there is no hope to hold....of course.

Ya know this is all only my opinion, in the past my opinion has left my lips just days before I have to eat my words. I pray that is the case with Haleigh as well.

But with all we known now, the lifestyles and the families, I hold out hope she was taken from them due to retaliation over a drug deal or a family member just decided it was in her best interest to get her away from RC and Misty. I have never felt like this, usually I just go with the obvious and stay with it.

I'm wondering if some of the recent events (including some we may not know about), or possibly some recent forensic results, have allowed LE to hone in on a specific suspect. But until they have some definitive proof, LE may not have a iron-clad case. If the efforts of Mr Nejame and Mr Miller can provide collaborating evidence via the searches or additional info they can uncover, then that might provide the missing piece for LE.

The way he was talking on the 911 call sounded like he had a good idea of who might have taken his child because he said if he finds them first he will kill them. This is the first hope I've had for Haleigh in a long time. Neither Tim Miller nor NeJame are stupid men. I believe truth will out in one way or another.

There were two cases this year that DD took kids, but they let them go. I thought maybe they could of just given her to somebody. But too much time has passed, if that was the case, she would have turned up by now. I just think of Sean Horbeck, he was gone 4 years, but that was a SO, and that is rare to keep them that long. Sigh.... just want this one to be a good ending.

IMO, LE's statement "It's unlikely a stranger had something to do with Haleigh's disappearance" is encouraging. Unless there is a drug dealer that was a very close family friend and a familiar person to Haligh, this implies that LE thinks the perp is a family member. And a family member would probably take care of her.

I have the upmost respect for Tim Miller and Nejame. I feel that they would never lower themselves to protect anyone in an investigation. They are definitely there to find Haleigh. IMO, Tim has always kept the criminal aspect out of his purpose. I don't know for sure who in the Cummings family called Nejame, I suspect Teresa Neves, she appears to me to really want her "baby" found. She is a "broken" grandmother and regardless of how Haleigh became missing, she wants her back. Nejame gained my respect during his representation of the Anthonys and showed me that a defense attorney can have ethics. That showed me a lot. I am hoping that Nejame has his own Private Investigators involved as well. I know that this hasn't been mentioned but I am aware that defense attorneys do have their own investigators that they use for their cases. I realize that this is not a "case" for Nejame but I do believe in his earnest quest to find Haleigh and hope that he and Tim are successful............

BBM. No, Ron isn't "cleared". It was stated he wasn't a "suspect". As of this date, there are no "suspects". I suspect that could change, but that's only my opinion.

BBM. Not really. There is so much area to cover and so much growth, even in the fall. If they don't find a body (God forbid, please), that doesn't mean she isn't lying somewhere decaying the same as Caylee Anthony.

Bern, I really don't see that LE has cleared anyone unless it is the AC man. I think yesterday that LE was just clarifying that they have not named anyone as a suspect, they didn't name Misty either, they just make it clear that there was definitely unfinished business that they had with Misty. Up to this date, LE has not named anyone as a suspect. The name "suspect" used by LE is usually used when they are either in the process of getting a warrant or have a warrant in hand for arrest. We may think a bit more general when we used the term, but LE doesn't use that term "suspect" unless they are near or at arrest. The word "cleared" to me means that the person has been ruled out as a potential suspect. I have not heard LE use that term either for any of the family. I think we are almost at full circle, in other words, almost right back where we started on this case.

I believe you are referring to the the Rodriguez family whose male child was abducted from his home during a burglary by 2 adult males while under the care of his mother. The boy was later released unharmed by the 2 male perps onto the street in Mexico I think it was. A significant difference in these two cases is the Rodriguez family weren't involved in any known criminal activity like Ron and Misty Cummings.

Four to six weeks would take us to around the 14th of September to the end of September and that time frame didn't really make alot of sense to me...
It can still be very hot in Florida in September and officially, the Atlantic hurricane season is from June 1 to November 30.
Some major storms have occurred in the month of September in the past..
Even in October..
