What is happening now is taking such a long time because LE needs all the evidence to establish a link between the alleged perpetrator and the crime.

As things stand now - as far as we know - Michael P may be a horrible man with a rapsheet as long as his arm, but he might still get away by saying (for instance) that he found a jacket and threw it away, hence his DNA on the jacket.

Forensic pathologist Frank van de Goot:

"When you see that somewhere the soil has been disturbed or that the environment is disturbed, then the entire forensic investigation only starts. All possible traces are there. There can be anything, from a hair of the person who has dug the grave to items. It would not be the first time that, for example, a button of the suspect was buried in the rush."

Van de Goot emphasizes:"Once one has an eye on a location, then all the haste is gone and it's all about care. Then it comes down to whether the search turns up links with the case."

Even if there were traces on Anne Faber's bag or jacket of the suspect Michael P.'s dna, this is not proof that he is involved in her possible disappearance. He has several convictions in his name, that's why he is in the dna database, so I suppose they have found his dna profile on those items. But if I were him, I would say: I saw a jacket lying around, I picked it up and threw it away again. The fact that he came into the picture is beautiful, but hurry is your biggest opponent in this kind of matter. This means that you now have to search step by step until the case against the defendant is watertight.

I really hope they find her soon. I think P learned his lesson about doing crimes with a partner last time, that partners can turn you in. He probably thinks he's got a chance because he has killed her so she can't talk, and now they can't find her.

Michael P. gave them the info about the location where she was found. This area was not previously an area of interest.

LE will give no more info about the investigation. Michael P informed the police about the location, but no more info will be given at this time.

Uncle of Anne Faber will speak. Hans Faber, spokesman for the family. Family in deep pain. Thanks everybody who has helped with the search.
They have many questions. How did it happen? How could this man be able to roam freely? Answers will not bring us Anne back.

Just saw the press conference, with a lump in my throat. In one way very sad, in another way glad she is finely found. In a while her body can be given back to her family, boyfriend and friends, but life will never be the same as they have to miss this wonderful and radiant young woman for ever.

Anne, I hope you are in a better place now. RIP

Yes guys. In a country where completely disturbed idiots living in sex- and drug wallhallas disguised as psychiatric institutions can dream about perfect murders and ex-girlfriends on a tow hook, where after a few of years completely disturbed idiots can do what they want after a series of robberies and (anal) rapes of children that they are still proud of, where completely disturbed idiots are not given criminal insanity treatment because they don't feel like having their disturbed personality examined.... In such a country lovely beautiful women are torn out of life by completely disturbed idiots.

Then we can point the finger, swear, rage, curse, kick and beat, but there is only one thing left. Weeping. Howling. Farewell and rest with the angels, Anne.
