Forensic experts have identified another victim of the plane crash with flight MH17. The victim has the Dutch nationality.

The total number of identifications now stands at 295. This means that three victims have not been identified yet, all three have the Dutch nationality.
According to the Dutch Forensic Institute (NFI), there are still many remains of which the origin has not been established.

It is expected that the identification of the victims will take at least until March. The NFI has examined 3,500 DNA samples. It is the largest investigation conducted by the NFI.

AsiaOne Malaysia reports
http://news.asiaone.com/news/malaysia/fighting-near-mh17-crash-site-hampers-probe-team

Intense fighting in the vicinity of the MH17 crash site in eastern Ukraine may foil a planned final sweep of the area by international investigators next week.

The Dutch security and justice ministry said in a statement on Jan 24 that a small team, including defence ministry personnel, would attempt to return to the crash site.

The planned operation next week is an attempt to recover more remains and other personal belongings.

DUTCH TEAM AT CRASH SITE, TO PICK UP BODY PARTS

Deccan Chronicle reports:
http://www.deccanchronicle.com/1502...tch-team-mh17-crash-site-collect-more-remains

A Dutch team is at the MH17 crash site in war-torn Ukraine to collect more remains of the 298 people killed when the Malaysia Airlines jetliner crashed in July, officials said on Monday. "At the moment there's a small team at the crash site," Dutch defence ministry spokeswoman Marloes Visser told AFP.

"They're there to pick up body parts which have been collected by local authorities at a particular spot," Visser said. Most of those on board the Boeing 777 when it was shot down over eastern Ukraine on July 17 were Dutch, and just three of the dead have yet to be identified by forensics experts in the Netherlands.

Experts hoped the latest remains could help with the identification of the final three, Dutch news reports said. Winter conditions meant the team will not search the area and the remains are to be flown back to the Netherlands on Saturday, Visser said.

DUTCH GOVERNMENT PUBLISHES DOCUMENTS MH17

RTL-Nieuws reports
http://www.rtlnieuws.nl/nieuws/binnenland/mh17-stukken-openbaar-kabinet-maakt-veel-onleesbaar

Translation

Today, under the Act on Public Documents, the Dutch cabinet publishes information on the handling of the MH17 disaster. In total there were 254 documents available, but 89 of them were not disclosed at all.

19 documents have been made public by the government. These include some Parliamentary papers, that are is already available to anyone on the internet.

146 documents have partially been made public. That means that the documents contain parts that have been obscured. Most pieces are blackened because according to the cabinet they are meant for 'internal deliberations'.

According to deputy editor Peter Klein of RTL Nieuws this involves important passages. "The refusal of handing over many documents and the obscuring of paragraphs and pages is a provocation," Klein said. "It is not possible for RTL Nieuws to check the government if so much remains confidential. We want the relevant facts anyway so serious reconstruction of the actions by the government becomes possible."

THE NETHERLANDS WANT CLARIFICATION ABOUT POSSIBLE PARDON MH17 PERPETRATORS

Russia, separatist leaders, Ukraine, France and Germany have reached an agreement about a cease-fire in Ukraine

NOS-Nieuws reports
http://nos.nl/artikel/2018860-nederland-wil-opheldering-mogelijk-pardon-mh17-daders.html

Translation

Dutch FM Koenders is currently looking into whether the cease-fire agreement for Ukraine includes an agreement to let the perpetrators of the MH17-disaster walk free. "We do not know at this time the exact facts, but for The Netherlands it remains a priority that the perpetrators must be prosecuted and brought to justice."

An English translation of the agreement signed in Minsk between German Chancellor Merkel, President Hollande of France, President Putin of Russia and Ukrainian President Poroshenko is circulating. It containss the following paragraphs:

"Provide pardon and amnesty by way of enacting a law that forbids persecution and punishment of persons in relation to events that took place in particular departments of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts of Ukraine."

Provide release and exchange of all hostages and illegally held persons, based on the principle of “all for all”. This process has to end – at the latest – on the fifth day after the pullout (of weapons)."

The Dutch Parliament wants clarification from the government about the meaning of this text. MP Omtzigt (CDA): "We want to know urgently what this means for the investigation since Ukraine is a party to both the Minsk agreement and a partner of the JIT, which investigates the attack on the MH17." Parliament also wants to know how The Netherlands will ensure the prosecution of the perpetrators.

NEW MH17 FOOTAGE SHOWS MILITIA TRAWLING THROUGH BURNING WRECKAGE AND AUSTRALIAN LUGGAGE

The Daily Telegraph reports:
http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/ne...stralian-luggage/story-e6freuy9-1227233702395

INVESTIGATORS probing the shooting down of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 have uncovered new footage, featuring militia trawling through burning wreckage and Australian luggage and bragging over what they thought had been a military transporter.

(...)

On the video, the Boeing aircraft is seen still in flames with the person recording the scene on his smart phone filming his colleagues in a state of excitement over the shooting down of what they apparently thought was a Ukraine airforce Antonov transporter plane.

(...)

Either by accident or design only a few faces of those at the scene can be seen in the footage but at least one has been identified as a senior figure of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic militia.

MH17 families view plane wreckage at Dutch base

Anna Holligan BBC reports:

Every piece of the plane has been meticulously labelled. A cold and clinical collection, such a contrast to the chaos captured at the crash site.

The sections of the aircraft considered "most relevant" to the criminal and aviation investigations are soon to form part of a 3D reconstruction.

The cockpit has been hidden from the journalists' view at the prosecutors' request. These are potentially vital pieces of evidence which, the investigators hope, will help to establish the truth.

CLAIM: BUK SHRAPNEL DISCOVERED IN WRECKAGE

CensorNet:
http://en.censor.net.ua/resonance/3...ned_the_malaysian_boeing_mh17_exclusive_photo

The configuration of missile's submunitions was identified fairly quickly. The extracted submunitions are very similar to those of Buk-M1. Ukraine has such Buks in its defense, but of course, there were none of them near Torez, in the rear of the occupied area, only Russian ones. The form of the elements looks similar, but the size differs. NATO intelligence services have carried out a large-scale parallel search of modern Russian ground-to-air missiles submunitions. By an operation the details of which have not been yet disclosed, a warhead of a Buk-M1-2 missile of Russian production fell into hands of investigators. When it was disassembled, it turned out that submunitions that hit the Boeing are exactly the same as those of the warhead of this modern Russian anti-aircraft missile. Buk-M1-2 complex was developed in 1997, supplied to the Russian Armed Forces in 1998, and never delivered to Ukraine.

BUK downed MH17, proof and analysis.

There is physical evidence that a BUK missile brought down flight MH17. Experts from Germany, England and Poland, commissioned by RTL Nieuws, viewed fragments from the wreckage and say that this is part of the Russian BUK missile. Below pictures, videos, and analysis demonstrating that.

RTL'S CORRESPONDENT JEROEN AKKERMANS FOUND THE FRAGMENTS NEAR GRABOVA

RTL-Nieuws:
http://www.rtlnieuws.nl/nieuws/binnenland/bewijs-voor-neerhalen-mh17-door-buk-raket

Translation:

For the first time, there is evidence that flight MH17 was shot down by a missile. This has beccome evident from forensic investigation to ammunition parts from the wreckage of the unit that RTL Nieuws has commissioned. International experts endorse the conclusion of this study: MH17 was shot with a BUK missile.

Last November, from the disaster site in Ukraine, RTL-correspondent Jeroen Akkermans brought with him a number of fragments of the weapon for investigation. The material has been examined by an independent institute, that has done research on a confidential basis.

The examination of the chemical composition shows that these are the remains of a rocket-BUK, including excerpts from the warhead - the explosive. The fragment of the warhead consists of a low-grade steel alloy that is associated with this type of ammunition. Electroscopic enlargements show that a fragment contains a cast Cyrillic series character from the Russian language and also a partially demolished figure 2.

Akkermans found this fragment in November last year in a hull piece of MH17, near the village of Grabova in eastern Ukraine. Four months after the disaster he visited the war zone, among other reasons to search for the truth about the death of the 298 occupants of MH17.

FRAGMENT FROM MH17 CRASH SITE SUPPORTS MISSILE THEORY: DUTCH TV

Reuters:
http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/03/19/us-ukraine-crisis-mh-idUSKBN0MF1ZW20150319

A metal fragment from the crash site of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 matches a surface-to-air BUK rocket, a Dutch broadcaster said on Thursday, supporting a theory that the plane was downed by pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine.

The fragment was recovered by a Dutch journalist from the village of Hrabove several months ago near to where the plane was brought down last July, killing all 298 passengers and crew.

Dutch broadcaster RTL said it had had the shrapnel tested by international forensic experts, including defense analysts IHS Jane's in London, who said it matched the explosive charge of a BUK, a Russian-made anti-aircraft missile system.

....

The Dutch Safety Board, which is investigating the cause of the crash, said in a reaction that its investigation was in "full progress and focuses on many more sources than only the shrapnel".
