New developments in unsolved Jennings murders

It is rather amazing how Ewing got chastised instead of "supported" isn't it? Another question in the list that continues to grow longer by the day is "why?"

It seems to be getting even more curious....we have the unsolved death of Sheila Comeaux that seems to have some undeniably curious information surrounding her death and now, this information about another unsolved death (Rat Trahan) in JDP as posted by SilenceDogood, on February 26th, 2009 at 6:08 PM .

I really enjoy reading your take on things....let me know what you think. By the way...are you in law enforcement? an attorney?....just curious :).

If Loretta witnessed the abduction of Rat & his killers, it sure seems it's narrowing down.
I agree with you, Bobby, that's it's a homegrown SK

The was also another man murdered (unsolved) in 1993. Story surrounding his death seems to have the same "feel" to it as all these other murders....as in all committed by same person(s). The guys name was Butch Sonnier.

Sounds like a tangled web huh? Sometimes I feel like I'm reading a murder mystery and then I have to remind myself it's real life what's been taking place in JDP.

Tell ya one thing, the sheriff's office isn't too swift when it comes to solving homicides it doesn't sound like. Perhaps Edwards should put that ego aside and let the "big boys" come in and take a stab at solving the whole fiasco....how's about that!! Give em a chance, see what they can do....I'm sure you don't have anything to worry about Edwards....you have nothing to hide I'm sure.

Maybe Edwards needs to do a little Dr. Phil watching...he always says "those with nothing to hide, hide nothing...":python:

I noticed something today, reading back through notes. May or may not be anything relevant but, I have often wondered about the gap (1 yr 9mos) between the murder of Ernestine (6/05) and Kristen (3/07). NO murders in 2006.

It did dawn on me that Lawrence Nixon & Bryon (Bryon) Jones had been arrested and charged with Ernestine’s murder….If I’m correct, they were both incarcerated for basically all of 2006. They were released early 07 and amazingly enough….next murder was in March 07 (Kristen).

Update regarding America's Most Wanted. Sounds as though Sheriff Edwards has agreed to work with them in getting the case on the AMW site. Link to article in the Lake Charles American Press.

That's good Edwards has decided to let AMW in. I wonder what made him have the change of heart? Granted there could be some dirty politics going on, and likely, possibly he realized he'd look more suspicious not allowing AMW to help.
That article is very interesting..

Take a moment and look around There is now an entire forum for the Jennings murders. There's plenty of room. You can now put your discussions on the appropriate thread and if you don't see a thread specific to your thoughts then by all means start one.

A big welcome to TopGunner! TopGunner will be your moderator and I'm sure you'll join me in welcoming her! If you see a post that's questionable just click the red outlined triangle towards the top right of each post to send her an alert so she can check it out.

Just popped in to say congrats on the forum for the Jennings murders. I'll be lurking and reading as usual for these cases. Best of luck to all!

OK. I may be hooked here. I would like to know more about each of our girls. Do we have all of their addresses, parents' names? I want to know if there are any other familial relationships in common and where they lived in case there is a neighbor/landlord/whatever connection.

I would also like to know if Teresa G. and Det. Warren G. are related by marriage and through whom.

If anyone has this information, PM me. I would like to help discover the connection that leads to the arrest and conviction of this murderer or the murderers and all of their accomplices. Wake-up Jennings! Rattle some cages until the murderer(s) is/are found!

PS: I am going to start a new thread (if it is alright with Turbo) with compiled facts so the more information I have, the better the start of the thread.

Do we know what happened to the private investigator Menard? He was posting about his investigation. I checked his website and there were some recent guestbook entries. Also, I did email fox news but have not received a response yet.

Thanks DotsEyes for keeping this forum alive!

Back on page 13 everyone was wondering about the break in killings, ie nothing from 6/18/05 till 2007. I am working on a timeline of events and noticed that Hurricane Katrina hit 8/28/05. Maybe the killer/killers were displaced by the storm and only returned to the area before the next killing.

Hurricanes Katrina and Rita didn't really affect Jennings for a long period. I think the electricity was out for a couple of weeks but mainly houses were intact.

Just checked out a blog dedicated to the murders of these woman and the PI I was wondering about has posted recently on that blog. Pretty interesting and great that there are others out there trying to keep these murders fresh in the minds of the public.

So...................we have no real activity on these cases. And yet the task force meets for hours at the location in town.

I think they are watching someone or more than one person.

The names Frankie Richard and Hanna Connor also come up on several forums. They are the uncle and niece arrested and let go due to lack of evidence. They were seen with 3 or 4 of the victims before they died. Frankie was also the person of interest that was visited by the warden, at his house.

I'm wondering........is Frankie Richard an informant? Could that have afforded him some protection along the way????????

first post but long time lurker. i would like to know if any one has figured out anything about the 2 bodies found in acadia parish around 2003. i know for sure one was in 2003 and 1 was later. both were found in canals (gulleys) with no cause of death released to my knowledge.

The Acadia Parish Sheriff says one of his unsolved murders could be connected as well. Acadia Parish officials are still trying to solve the 2003 murder of Linda Jackson. She was found dead in a rural area. Right now, Acadia detectives are in talks with detectives from Jeff Davis and the FBI to determine if Jackson’s death may be related to the four unsolved Jeff Davis murders.

Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon says it’s still too early to know for sure, but specialists from the FBI are aiding them with the investigation.

Anyone with information that would help detectives connect the dots in these unsolved murders should call the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-824-3850.
