My two cents on the choking thing:
I lean more towards All & Forward's opinion that it's fairly run of the mill for 'young' people who are quite sexually active (up there with *advertiser censored*).
My personal experience - as someone in late twenties who would probably be considered quite 'promiscuous' by most - is that it frequently happens in casual sex, although it's always been brought up first. Just doing it without asking would be creepy and in that case I agree with the lasses.
On a societal level though when I really think about it it makes me sick. It's such an example of *advertiser censored*'s dominance in shaping sexual behaviours and then violence against women being normalised in that regard. Watch HBO's Euphoria in you want an insight in how effed Gen Z is.
