That quote is actually lyrics from a tv show intro called Pretty Little Liars. It was is popular amongst young adults so Grace was probably a fan of it. It seems ominous out of context unless you know it is the lyrics of a popular YA tv show. Ironically it is about a girl that is murdered :(

Police also seized a car yesterday and it was likely used to transport Millane's body, which was still missing, retired Bay of Plenty District crime manager and Detective Inspector Graham Bell said.

The police priority would be tracking the vehicle's movements with GPS or using cellphone towers - which was possible even if the mobile phones of those in it were switched off, he revealed.

Oh no, I'm so sad. I was really hoping for a different outcome, just all those sightings and the possibility that she had just cut loose for the sake of adventure. Obviously the police knew more than they were letting on, and having questioned that guy perhaps watched him to see what he would do next. Her poor, poor family. Like others have said, I feel angry on all of their behalfs and on Grace's. Why shouldn't she be allowed to travel alone and have fun? It's so unfair.

"Before the CityLife Hotel footage emerged, the last confirmed sighting of Grace had been CCTV of her dressed for a night out as she left the Sky City casino complex at 7.15pm.

She was wearing a pink £5,000 prize draw wristband, suggesting she planned to return to the casino, just a few minutes from the hotel."

More information about the pink wristband. And the CCTV is from the casino, so they obviously did have CCTV of the hotel but haven't released it. And apparently they don't have CCTV of her leaving, but are still looking. Going to look back through this thread as there was some discussion of an underground car park I think, which seems relevant now. They have also identified a 'vehicle of interest'.

Hopefully they will be able to put pressure on this guy to reveal what he has done and he will not leave the family in misery.

This is all gossip - I haven’t heard anything in the media to substantiate this so Mods delete if necessary.

The person in question lives in NZ - May not be a NZer

The police have footage of him leaving with a suitcase (although even if true it is an apart-hotel & people leave with cases)

Her belongings will not be found with her body.

- all heresay at this stage

Gossip from where? Sm or locals? Strange about the belongings. Why would that be the case?

I wonder if they will release the name of the man in custody- friends in NZ- any presser coming and any way to watch online- links appreciated

Right off the top of my head I can recall 2 cases where a murderer thought he would remove his victim from a hotel in a suitcase. CCTV everywhere at a hotel; he likely just rode the elevator to the car parking with her in a suitcase. At least he has been caught.
