WMUR does not have that info online yet. Even if the local paper covers court news, Kibby's court appearance last week would not have been published yet. In my part of the state, arrests appear in the police log. But if it not major news, the disposition of the case is not reported.

I am surprised that we haven't uncovered news of the arrest though.

I got the impression from the WMUR that it may be been a stalking case or violation of a restraining order. But I am not certain. I'll check when WMUR puts it up.

The two people who were trespassed upon?
Yes, that is what the WMUR reporter Adam Sexton said. The trespassing charge related to 2 victims. A woman with the initials TS was one and she was interviewed on video. The trespassing charges and the "2 victims" are not related to the current charges regarding Abigail. The report did not give a time frame the trespassing charge.

whoooa. yea. did you call that in? you probably should!

@bakerlady - Good sleuthing, but I don't think there's a connection there. The JK you're talking about is a former police officer, current PI (who is likely a licensed and who'd have to pass background checks), whose FBK 'about' indicates he's not interested in females of any type. He also lives halfway across the country...and for what it's worth, the FBK photo looks nothing like the sketch (long sideswept hair with receding hairline, not swarthy, etc.)

2 girls were 'trespassed' upon. I wonder what that means? If they were in their home that would be breaking and entering or home invasion, right?

What does trespassing mean in this case? Were they maybe in their front walkway and he came onto the sidewalk and harassed them?

I dont think they would have a restraining order or he would be charged with breaking that, and not 'trespassing.'

I am so curious what that means.

eta: Maybe they worked in a store or somewhere and he kept going in and bothering them. I think a store owner can throw u out and charge u with trespassing if u keep coming back.

This is incredible...truly hard to believe. What this poor young girl must have endured. I pray she gets thru it. And thank God, LE caught this psycho. Thank God she's alive and somehow back home.

Trespassing would be if their front door was open and he just walked on in.

I really think the constant pressure put on this piece of bird poop by the social media had a lot to do with Abby's release. I know it's premature, but I do hope that Paul and Amanda think about offering their services to other families in similar situations. Someone came up with face on milk cartons idea, this campaign was unlike any I've ever heard of and very well organized. I for one really hope that other families can benefit from this kind thing. I just keep thinking about the day when I read through that list of Hispanic girls missing in the area, the list one of the mods put up and no one was even looking for these children. It broke my heart. These children may be in similar situations and come from families who either don't know or just don't care.
I really hope LE utilizes what they learned in this case. While I'm at it, I feel just sick about the nasty posts I made about how LE was handling the case. I want to also thank them for their tireless and often unappreciated persistence in solving this case and getting a child home safe.

According to WMUR 11pm news, Kibby was sentenced in court last week for trespassing. Not sure if he plead guilty or was found guilty. Sentence included year on probation. If violated terms, he'd serve jail time. There were 2 victims. WMUR interviewed one victim, TS, who said she was not surprised at today's arrest.

WMUR did not have it up on their site yet when I checked. Now that it has been broadcast, I expect it will be posted online.

I wonder if the upcoming court date and the possibility of jail time played a part in Abigail's release. I agree with the poster who said he seems misogynist and likely considers himself a good, moral man. So he had to release her rather than allow her to die while he was in jail.
More here:
Kibby, who attended Kennett High in the late 1990s, was in Conway Circuit Court on July 23. He was found guilty of criminal trespass and was given a $1,240 fine which was suspended pending one year of good behavior. A simple assault charge was dropped.

As a part of his plea deal, Kibby is to have no contact with the alleged victims. The assault charge alleged that Kibby pushed a woman to the ground in Redstone in early March. The trespassing charge said he trespassed at the same address where the alleged assault took place.

According to court papers filed by Kibby, the conflict between him and the victims (a man and woman) began when he rear-ended the man in a car accident. Kibby said the man became upset and began to threaten him. Kibby wanted the sheriff's office to investigate because he had no faith in the police which he called "an immoral organized criminal syndicate."

In 1998, and as a teenager, Kibby was found guilty of assaulting 16-year-old Shawna M. Bova of Bartlett, who was in ninth grade at the time. Kibby grabbed "Bova with his hands, and holding on to her jacket around the neck area preventing her from leaving." At the 1998 trial, Bova testified that she was walking to the school bus to go home on Jan. 21 when Kibby approached her and asked if he could talk to her. She said no, that she had to get on the bus, and he grabbed her left arm with one of his hands and asked again if she would take five minutes to talk to him. Her jacket, she said, was over her right arm.

It is the same neighbor who said NK used his storage container as his own shooting range (go figure that one) that said he MIGHT have kept Abby in there. Then the neighbor states that she doesn't know how that could be because the trailers are so close together (paraphrased). This same neighbor didn't know NK because "he was a loner". This is not reliable evidence that Abigail was kept in the storage container.

Storage/shipping containers are metal and are not soundproof. Go bang on your steel garage door for proof.

If you go on somebody else's property without permission, that can be trespassing. This sounds like it was something more serious than taking an unauthorized shortcut through somebody's back yard, though.

Shawna looks very much like Abby

I'm pretty sure you can soundproof just about anything.

He's charged with one count of of felony kidnapping for knowingly confining. IMO, that certainly doesn't sound like LE believes he kept her in a storage container for 9 months and raped her.

felony kidnapping for knowingly confining with the purpose of committing an offense upon.

Sounds to me like the child needs more time to disclose the horrors.
He isn't going anywhere, there is no need to push her.
I expect horrible unimaginable charges to come.
She's survived for 9 months... No hurry to make her relive it right now. Give her time.

According to information Abby provided investigators, the man who drove away with her on Oct. 9 was driving a navy blue pick-up truck on North South Road in Conway, north of the rotary. Abigail described the man as having darkish skin, dark brown eyes, black stubble facial hair, and a large build, who was slightly overweight and slightly taller than she was (5'4").
The complaint says Kibby is six feet one inch and weighs 165 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Kibby does not resemble the man in the sketch.
