Police in Nashua are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing man with mental health and substance abuse illness who family say has been missing since January.

Nashua resident Michael Jones, 34, was last seen on January 17.

Family and friends of Jones say that have not had any contact with him since then and have said that he suffers frommental health and substance abuse issues,

According to authorities at the time Jones went missing, he was staying with friends in the area of Harbor Avenue in Nashua and was actively contacting rehabilitation services for treatment.

Jones is described as a white male, five feet and six inches tall, weighing at 175 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing jeans, white sneakers and a leather coat.

The Nashua Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Michael Jones, age 34, of Nashua, New Hampshire.

On January 23, 2019, family of Michael Jones responded to the Nashua Police Department to report him as missing.

According to relatives Michael Jones, who suffers from mental health and substance abuse issues, was last seen in Nashua on January 17, 2019.

His family and friends have not had contact with Jones since. At the time Jones went missing, he was staying with friends in the area of Harbor Avenue in Nashua and was actively contacting rehabilitation services for treatment.

Nashua Police Department detectives are actively investigating. Jones is described as a white male, 5’6”, 175 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing jeans, white sneakers and a leather coat. See attached images of Jones.

Manchester is about 30 mins north of Nashua where Michael disappeared.

Homeless man dies in tent fire in Manchester

The state fire marshal’s office is investigating the death of a homeless man, whose body was found in a tent that caught fire during Saturday’s snowstorm.

He said the cause of the fire is under investigation and the victim has not been identified. An autopsy is scheduled Sunday.

Details of Disappearance​

Jones was last seen in the vicinity of Harbor Avenue in Nashua, New Hampshire on the evening of January 17, 2019. He has never been heard from again. At the time of his disappearance, he was staying with friends and contacting local rehabilitation services for treatment. When his mother reported him missing, the police initially thought he'd probably enrolled in a residential drug rehabilitation program, but this wasn't the case. His disappearance remains unsolved.
