Agreed. Both people running in the surveillance photos are wearing white pants. That is unusual. There is no honor among thieves (I don't know who said that first - certainly not me.) I'm thinking that he/she/it/those in the know are sitting back and waiting for the reward money to go up.

I don't know how this reward money is pledged, but if this were my child, I would go directly to Richard Codey (former NJ Governor and a NJ Insurance Agent - after whom South Mountain Skating Arena is named (a block to the left of the alleged shooting)) and use that pledged reward money to buy a $1 Million Dollar Insurance Policy for information leading to the Conviction of the killer(s). You make the offer expire 7/15/2014. They will come out of the woodwork.

BBM IDK. This may just be a paraphrase of what LE said about it being a "targeted" shooting. The statement also implies that the apartment complex was the site of the shooting, which we already know to be untrue.

The article also calls the young men in the surveillance video "suspects" now rather than "witnesses." I wonder if someone has given LE info regarding the 2 men? It's possible they were innocently walking along when they heard gunfire and started running, in which case they would probably be hesitant to associate themselves with this case for fear of retribution.

At that first link, there's an interesting comment by swu about a tip he/she called in. Also, the author, Seth Augenstein, listed a lot of facts in the case in response to comments of another poster. He has checked his facts and is a good source of information. Hopefully, LE has a lot more than it appears from that surveillance footage - possibly of the crime in progress.

This is a nice article by a retired Livingston police officer who tells of a friend losing her 18-year-old son less than a year ago. Like Brendan, he was a good kid but one night an argument broke out between the carload of kids he was with and another carload of kids, and it turned violent.

Wow, been off the site a few days and was hoping I would come back and learn something new. I am also sad to see there is not more activity on this page. So scary to think your kid can text you at a reasonable hour, tell you they are on their way home and not make it home because someone shot him. Riddled him with bullets. My gut is telling me car jacking or road rage. Either one is just crazy. To think that it would be dangerous to drive home a couple of miles in a low crime area is outrageous. Geez, what is this world coning to? Are we and our loved ones safe anywhere? This poor family. I know there were pictures posted on MSM of 2 guys running where the shooting occurred and LE was desperately hunting them down for questioning. Has anyone heard anything on this?

From this video (right around 1:50) it looks like both windows that were shot out were on the passenger side--front and rear. Brendan may have been in the left lane, to turn left toward Livingston, when someone pulled up next to him in the right lane.

Oh yea, great thought and that answers that question about catching a bus. But, yes agree..I have been checking everyday and nothing has been reported since the funeral.

Yes, I thought of that. car jacking, but according to LE this poor kid was riddled with bullets. They actually said that someone obviously wanted this boy dead, and I am not sure if that goes with carjacking. Wouldn't you just shoot, take the car and run? Im at a loss. Just feel so bad for this family. What a great young man. So sad
