Dashand Stokelin was last seen on 11-22-16 in Atlantic city NJ. His blue Subaru legacy is also missing.

Dashand is an African American male with a stocky yet fit build. His family has tirelessly searched the area for him and is pleading for help in locating him.

Stokelin was driving a 2016 blue Subaru Legacy with a New Jersey license plate C79-GVK. His grandmother said he previously took her vehicle, and never returned that night.

Stokelin frequents Camden, Jersey City and Philadelphia.

Details of Disappearance​

Stokelin was last seen near the 200 block of north North Carolina Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey at 1:45 a.m. on November 23, 2016. He was driving his grandmother's blue 2016 Subaru Legacy with the New Jersey license plate number C79-GVK.

He has never been heard from again and his vehicle has not been recovered. A photo of the car is posted with this case summary.

The last time Stokelin spoke to his grandmother, late in the evening on November 22, she said he was incoherent and "couldn't form the sentences to tell me where he was." Prior to his disappearance, he had not had any known health issues or substance abuse problems.

He frequented the New Jersey cities of Camden and Jersey City, as well as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the time of his disappearance. He left behind five children, and the circumstances of his disappearance are unclear.

Police say a boater was navigating through the Clam Thorofare in New Jersey last week when he noticed what appeared to be a vehicle on the floor of the waterway through his sonar.

The boater called law enforcement and the Brigantine Fire Department Dive Team was able to locate the vehicle and determine that it had been there for an extended period of time.

Then, on Wednesday, New Jersey State Police and Iaconelli Construction removed the vehicle from the water.

The recovered vehicle has since been identified as the car Stokelin was last seen in.

Police said they have searched the vehicle and no human remains have been found.
